Maya's skin is totally hairless except for her head hair, and it's tougher and thicker than human skin. It would probably have a texture similar to soft silicone, matte and dry. She doesn't have sweat glands at all so the only thing that would influence the moisture of her skin is the natural humidity of the air.
From what I know of the Akita lore, Akita is very slightly cooler than an average human, Maya is much hotter, her normal core temperature is 120F or about 49C so you could probably feel heat coming off her in waves just by holding your hand close to her skin.
The segment lines aren't just darker color they're actually faint wrinkles/indentations and would be similar to the creases on your palms.
Her fingertips and toes look like claws but they aren't actually sharp, just pointy, and they're hard and durable at the tips, they might feel more like a hard plastic.
The glowing organs dotting her legs, hands and chest in the places where a DD's lights would go are soft and liquid filled, but with a thick tough protective bubble that feels like rubber. They have no pain sensing nerve ends in them and can be squeezed, pinched, or poked without causing her any discomfort. Moving around in an environment full of sharp debris and possible falls, she's put them out a couple of times and they grow back quickly. Their actual purpose is like a DD's crown of eyes, they sense different spectra of light, giving her a sort of 360 field of pseudo-vision.
Her tail feels like rubber, soft enough to pinch it a little but with a harder flexible core that feels sorta like metal cable. It can be snapped like a bullwhip to excruciatingly painful effect, if she gets startled or feels threatened.
The tail tip itself is true metal, like a DD's sword, claws or stinger, and is razorblade sharp.

I cannot tell you right now how to fix it all, but approaching 8 a bit different with less expensive fight could have saved resources.
I think normal animation isn't nearly as costly as such intricate scenes, IMO 10 minutes dispersed through the series to make things less blunt and to really give some more flesh to characters could have made it way better, many of us ofc love the lore, worldbuilding and aesthetics of MD but it is undeniable the characters are almost all very strong too and most here have a dedicated favourite. Some more screentime to expand different characters would have gone a long long way. Or just some time to breathe to fix the obvious pacing problems.
