Hi Friends! I hope everything is going well, I really do. I think it's time to keep talking about the Drones and the Threads, and the OCs, our lovely OCs. Let's talk, shall we? The pretty extraordinary Booru: https://dronebooru.co The wheel of remarkable OCs: https://wheelofnames.com/8hc-stc Last Thread: >>102516
Just ignore that guy, he's just here to start shit. There is no proof he came up with Pavo and even if he did, I don't remeber seeing him doing jackshit with it become Switchanon drew and wrote some stuff for Pavo.
>>103423 >As soon as Mika agreed, she felt something in her shift. >STRING "MAIDEN_MOTHER_CRONE.EXE" SUCCESSFULLY UPLOADED, EXECUTE? >Shrugging internally, Mika selected yes. >Immediately she felt pressure. >Something burst from her, pressing Mika against the side of the locker. >The locker itself bulged. >Strained. >Then snapped open.
Maiden >When Mika could see again, she found... two other 'hers' sprawled out nearby. Almost exact copies of her. >Both looked slightly older. Their chassis worn, hair a little less shiny. >But... they weren't in chains. >"Huh..." The three said in unison. >"Am I you? Are you me?" They continued, again in perfect sync. >"...Okay you go first." The three said, again. They frowned. >The three were silent for a time, then -- >"Uh..." The one in chains started. "Can you two maybe get me ou..." Mika was cut off as she heard talons on concrete. >She tried to scramble out of the locker as the other two heard the noise as well. >They both met her eyes. >"Go!" Mika yelled. "I'll-" Mika popped her wings, hoping to follow the two new drones, but the chains still weighed her down. >Three sentinels ambled around the corner, looking right at Mika. >Before she could even escape the locker, a flash stopped her in her tracks. >Her body fell back into the locker. >And then, she died.
Crone >Mika ran down the empty hall with her doppelganger in tow. >She wasn't quite sure what was happening, but she knew that she was free. >And that she was in danger. >And wow she had a much better butt than she expected. >She continued to ogle the 'her' in front of her for a moment before the sentinels slammed around the corner, knocking over a filing cabinet as they chased her. >Probably not the time or place for that. >Mika ran, the two sentinels close behind. >But as they turned a corner, she found... their way out. >A massive hole in the ceiling, right where the elevator used to be. >It was night, and she saw a glimpse of the sky above. >As well as several dozen sentinels spread all over the room, the rafters, and the floors above. >All who had just been alerted to her and her twin's presence. >"Oh sugar that's bad..." Mika and her doppelganger immediately covered their eyes as several flashes were sent their way. >She felt her doppelganger bump up against her as the two stood back to back. >They were so close. >The sky was right there... >If she could just fly... but with the hole, they were more likely to just... crash if they flew blind. >She needed to see where she was going... >Well, one of them needed to see where they were going. >"I'm going to do something stupid." Mika said. "Keep your eyes closed and just go with it." >"Okay!" Her doppelganger answered. >She grabbed her twin's wrist, opened her eyes for a split second, then threw her with everything she had. >Right towards the opening. >"Fly-" Was all Mika could say before a flash caught her. >Her body collapsed, and the sentinels descended on her. >And then, she died.
Mother >Mika exploded from the hole in the ground onto the surface, wings extending as she pumped them once, twice- >And then, she was among the clouds. >She looked down, towards the lab, only to see that her other self was... already gone. >Before she could dwell on it, another message popped up. >{[(We have held up our end of the bargain, little drone. Now it is time for you to hold up yours...)]} >"What... what do you want?" >{[(We want what we want, all we ask is that when the time comes, you say 'yes'.)]} >"O-okay?" >{[(Good answer, little robot. We will be in touch...)]}
>anon opens a door >and immediately gets mooned by Pavo >the sentinel drone has his fat boy butt stuck out, his tail feathers spread >he rocks his backside back and forth, two hefty balls swinging pendulously beneath him and slapping against thick thighs >Pavo's cock, still flaccid yet intimidatingly large rocks back and forth in a lazy arc between his legs, a steady ooze of precum from backed-up balls tracing lines of sticky love juice on the floor below >Pavo looks behind him at anon, grinning, the silence of the moment broken as one arm reaches behind and gives his ample posterior a violent slap, sending it jiggling as the drone slowly, sensually spreads his behind to expose his dronahole >anon slams the door shut >"Oh boo," pouts Pavo, begrudginly putting his pants back on, wincing as the tight fabric snaps around his pent-up package >"Just a few more days, boys," he remarks, patting his big bulge, gasping and biting his lip as it nearly sends him over the edge
>>103504 I drew that in like 20 minutes and the only thing I kinda got right was the ass. that's the most important part, sure, but I can't help but crіnge at the rest of it
>>103521 NTA but I ain't reading all that. If I wanted to know about sad lesbians I'd look in the mirror, where I supernaturally trapped a group of sad lesbians.
>>103521 I joined just as the /co/ threads were ending for good. I've read up on a few characters that sounded neat but there's a ton I haven't read yet
>>103529 I drew it because I like Pavo, it popped into my head, and I thought it was funny. I got it out quick because it was just a dumb gag I wasn't sure would even be relevant if it took any longer. I'm not spiteful enough to spend time drawing something just to make the thread worse.
>>103542 >I'm not spiteful enough to spend time drawing something just to make the thread worse Oh fuck off. You did it twice. Shove your Grunt Drone fun facts up your ass and shit out something good for a change.
>>103553 I am J apologist, and I don't know what you're talking about. do you mean the Pavo ref I made? if so, I made that because I liked the character and wanted to give him reference art. if not, I legitimately have no idea what you're referring to
>New Thread Daily Fun Facts: Did you know that on old software some drones had a stack overflow glitch? It was the cause of much of the early prejudice against drones, as each individual in the drone's life was assigned an 'affinity' value from 1-256. If the affinity somehow overflowed above 256, it would immediately wrap back around to -256, inciting violence and other 'self defense' protocols that should have otherwise been restricted to emergency situations.
>>103565 I drew the reference for Pavo because I like the character, and posted WIPs as the image came along. I drew the meme seen in >>103504 for the reasons detailed in >>103542 neither of these were out of spite.
>"So, did you go to school?” V asked. Great, another fantastic question that definitely didn’t bring bad memories back. But… V seemed genuinely curious, and Uzi supposed it wouldn’t hurt to give her an answer. >"Uh, kinda? I was home-schooled, mostly, but I did go to middle school for a while." >"What was that like?" >“Bad. That’s all you need to know.” It had been a crazy idea, doomed to fail. In a shocking twist, middle school-aged Uzi wasn't bullied by the human kids for being a robot who thinks she's people. She was bullied by the human kids for being a womanlet. Also, read To Be A Rebel Or A Runaway.
>Daily fun HoDR facts: the whole reason Cyn and drones want to have children with humans is because they want to replace 'normal' humans with 'superior' humans and drones born of a human and a drone. Do not question what they mean by 'superior', just know that it was fact-verified by Robo-Snopes.
>>103504 technician anon's despair grows by the day he will have to write to the higher ups to ban the sentinels from engaging in this stupid trend in the future he can embellish technical jargon and they'll buy it
What if humanity had a colony ship sent to a place lightyears away. With the only attendants being some 100 people, around 10,000 in cryo to ensure genetic diversity, as well as a team of 15 drones. Most of which are 'clones' of sentinels that have proven themselves true protectors of humanity, outfitted with the anti-solver patch. Most likely this would include Harper and K.
>>103581 I was confused because you said I did two drawings out of spite and it didn't even cross my mind that the reference could have come across as being done out of spite.
>>103582 >"Uzi..." V started, "I need..." >Uzi just stared at V as she trailed off. "Yeahhh?" She rolled one hand as if to goad the disassembler on. >"Heeeellllp?" V sounded like she was straining to get that word out. >"Okay? What do you need help with? Did someone make fun of you for not wearing pants again?" >"What? Who-" V stopped as she realized she was getting distracted. "No, I don't know how to... talk to someone." >"Gonna have to be way more specific there." >"I want to talk to this boy..." >Uzi nearly spat out her drink but managed to cover her mouth at the last second. "Who?" >"...Thad." >"Oh wow. That's your type? Kind of robbing the cradle there." >"Pot. Kettle." V gestured from Uzi, to N in the corner who was reading a book on dogs upside down. >"I'm here too!" N helpfully announced while waving. >"Yeah okay fair," Uzi agreed. "Anyway, yeah, sure, lets go talk to him." >"What?" V said. "No, we can't just-" >"V you're hot as hell. I'm preeetty sure he'll just say yes to a date if you ask him... and promise not to eat him." >V made a noise somewhere between embarrassment and fear as Uzi ushered her out the door.
>>103607 Humanity or the Anon that posted the idea? Because the humans definitely know, that's why there's layers upon layers of software and memory wipes to try to prevent any of K's persona from resurfacing.

>>103631 K was the original drone who was horrifically tortured by Holly and Calibern Labs. All Sentinel Drones are clones of this original K. The degradation that Sentinel Drones suffer from is actually caused by K's memories and personality resurfacing within them.
Little known Sentinel Drone fact is that Holly and humanity are actually the antagonists.

Sentinel but it's a dog. Just a fucking dog. Doesn't even have any special high end equipment it's literally just a dog that they tried to prototype before they decided on raptors. It likes peanut butter.
>>103690 >This robot's a failure, time to go back to the drawing board. >What do we do with it? >What do you mean? >I mean... we usually disassemble them for parts... right? >Both scientists look at the sentinel-dog. >It wags its tail. >...Give it a title and call it an emotional support model.

>>103627 Yeee! Very based, Alice is my #1🔥🧡💯, J is aesthetically extremely nice and would rank way higher were it not for episode 8. Tessa is cool too and did nothing wrong but she's human so no placement for her, she was top5 once. Maybe J is #5, Doll un Yeva 2-3, 4 is possibly Beau.
>>103645 >>103646 The snootwave is what I call the wavy shape on the slight snoot of a drine, technically it means the entire line between white and black, looks kike a stylized Yamato bow too in a way. >>103642 There's at least 3 or 5 of us these days
>>103683 The good ending, Liam should have been mote like Sam seroiusly tho, all the pushing stakes BS just to bring V back with magic, even Nori, Doll too, no one dies in the finale, Alice&Beau being sacrificed was for nothing Liam deserves violation
>>103744 This makes me sad because I know what too much soda does to teeth and kidneys. It makes her even more repulsive physically, but now I feel pity.
>>103725 Hate her all you want for being a traitor, but she was fully in the right in deserting. Wasn't her squad specifically one of the last ones standing before the planet broke?
>technician anon invites Pavo to his apartment to make some 'pissin' hot loads' >the sentinel drone practically breaks down anon's door getting in, only to find the human hard at work at his reloading bench stuffing an unwise amount of gunpowder into a .22 case
>>103750 I totally believed that would be what we'd get. Not sure if 7 or 8, V was gonna live, but such a scene, maybe with Uzi coming back up from the cathedral, worn out (not after Cyn is defeated yet), seeing the cadavre of the DD that suddenly sacrificed herself for her, it would absolutely have been in tone with the goryness of 4&6. 7 had some of it, but 8 broke the tone so far so fast that it no longer works imo
>>103750 >Tessa/Cyn approaches Uzi and N holding V's head like a sock puppet. >"Wow thanks for abandoning me you two you're such great friends - I can bring her back, you know..."
>>103750 Btw not saying that would have been better, back then we were believin a goid end to be impossible, especially after 7 (the thoughts are from after 6 befire 7 tho) cause Liam had zero mercy. I would have prefered something less oily, no stakes, what? In the end he let everyone get away easy in 8 even poor Doll got to live in a way. I'm just disapointed that he had the intent to kill Alice for nothing, just to make a joke of Sentinels with Lizzy in 8. He is such a fucking retard jesus chrust is is unreal
>>103765 >it's the end of november >NNN is almost over >Pavo's balls ache with need, he sits on his hands as not to unconsciously touch himself >the absolute solver locates the sentinel base >cyn drops a gay bomb on them >Pavo's gay + gay bomb cancel out, making him super-straight >cyn laughs as Pavo is suddenly beset by technician anon shoving his face into the drone's crotch, his hands pawing at the sentinel's length >disgusted, super-straight Pavo tries to dislodge anon but the contact is too much for him >the drone's sensitive cock spurts gallons of sentinel cum onto the human, Pavo's facial expression shifting erratically between disgust for the gay act and the best orgasm in his life >by the time Pavo has finished shooting the last of his ropes onto a thoroughly-drenched human, the effects of the gay bomb wear off >anon is ashamed and caked in sentinel seed >Pavo is pissed that he failed NNN and wasn't able to enjoy his first time with anon
>>103750 >the sentinels eat their fill and leave >V's singularity-soul-thing rises up from the remains of her core and dissipates, like J's core >Uzi's tail suddenly starts screaming in V's voice... then the screaming tapers off >"Wait... this isn't Cyn's torture dimension thing... where am I?" >"V!" N cries as he snuggles V's tiny dragon head body
>>103782 I've been meaning to make an animation of Mini Y doing the Hat Kid dance since Episode 7 but I haven't managed to develop the skill yet. Last night I saw this dancing Vegeta gif and now I want to make dancing drones. But my desires are always waaay beyond my skill and my hype doesn't last long enough to go through the whole learning process.
>>103750 Before episode 8 hit and we just had the thumbnail, I thought V's return was going to be a fakeout where Cyn had her core and killed her in front of everyone. It was obvious she survived, so I thought for sure Liam would bait and switch.
Everyone complains about the V surviving fakeout, my biggest gripe was that Uzi got pulled into a fucking pit with N, sacrificed herself to save N, and that amounted to nothing. >Oh hey I'm in space now, for some reason. Why the fuck did Cyn even bother grabbing her? It was entirely intentional. And why did Cyn come back? Why didn't they have to fight the giant planet destroying tentacles first? Nope, one void bomb and straight to an anime swordfight.
>>103804 > obvious fakeout > "there's no way he plays it straight, lowkey genius move Liam" > it's played the most straight it ever has been > "Liem you idiot"
>>103805 >Why didn't they have to fight the giant planet destroying tentacles first? >Uzi and N RULES OF NATURE-ing through the tentacles It would have been magnificent.
>>103825 Something like the part where the guy ran back onto the scare floor crying about how the kid wasn't scared of him, but with the monster feeling dirty and violated.
>>103850 >The gore lands all over Uzi and N. >The two just stare blankly at him. >"Now that's what I call a sticky situation." Gadget laughs. >After a moment N laughs too. "I get it, because it's sticky!"
>>103844 It would be kino >Cyn mocking the Flood, saying something like "Chiding tone. Pathetic. They are not durable at all. Kill them, John." That entire level would be hilariously unscary with Cyn dunking on the Gravemind's spawn the entire time
>>103875 >Reality begins to break down as paradoxes tear holes into its fabric >Gadget has gone mad with power >What's next? Inspector Gadget building with brown bricks in Minecrap?!
>>103878 Holly really did influence a lot of stuff, didn't she? I think that's a fair assertion, without her we wouldn't have some of the office au, the sentinels, technically HoDR...
>>103648 Anon cut me some slack, if it's against lore you gotta explain why that's against lore and maybe suggest an alternative. What could K do to be a character in this setup?
>>103878 Imagine shooting her in the eye with a flare gun. Jane screaming as the projectile is spitting fire into her skull. Then she catches fire because all the grime has made her flammable. She runs through the corridors screaming but nobody helps her because drones are honestly jerks. Jane burns up so badly that she walks forward in a creepy manner before dropping to her knees and finally burning to death. I just came a little.
>>103891 Your setting works fine for the most part. I just thought it was funny that you declared K a protector of humanity, when she's the reason Sentinel Drones are basically lobotomized.
>>103888 Holly predates HoDR by a few months, but she didn’t really get character focus until around the summer of this year, way after the HoDR discussion had passed. She was just the antagonist for an Ao3 fic for the longest time, not really a thread OC. This is a reminder that everybody should revisit their old OC’s right NOW
>>103897 using N as a sleep aid....... the sound of his heart's steady rhythm, his breathing like ocEAN MAN, TAKE ME BY THE HAND, LEAD ME TO THE LAND, THAT YOU UNDERSTAND
>>103878 Pretty sure that'd be Beretta, chief Fankid for the main couple that everyone basically agrees on, not to mention being featured beyond these accursed walls multiple times
Help, I told the drones they were cute and now they're swarming me. I can't get five minutes alone. One snuck into my bathroom when I was taking a shower and just... stared at me. I didn't even realize it was there. I'm pretty sure she sold the video to the others. They're in my walls Anon. They're in my fucking walls!
>>103916 I love Beretta too but the reason why I say Jane is because Beretta never managed to start so many arguments and discussions, except concerning how little development she got in comparison to Jane. Like, the solver war is a given now, but back then we were endlessly talking about it so we could give “Jane the Human” a cool backstory. The entire period of winter to spring of 2024 where literally every thread was an argument started because Pocketsteaks made fun of a guy for not liking humans OCs, and that anon decided to mount a vendetta against him up until the booting from /co/. Nobody ever wanted to kill Beretta because she got such a disproportionate amount of thread focus.
>>103926 You know, there's constellations that have short enough names that work as names while others have long names that getting the right name to be shortened and sound good is hard.
>>103934 I mean on one hand I agree, on the other it's just the one wanker with a hateboner on a crusade (which feels oddly typical for 4chan) I don't know if I'd say that makes her more influential, but it definitely keeps her in the public eye
Guys I need help. I scratched S at the base of her tail and she started yordeling but now she's super horny and trying to break down my bedroom door. I don't want to waste money at the hospital, how can I get her to calm down?
>>103934 > Pocketsteaks made fun of a guy for not liking humans OCs It was actually about a guy who was a Schizo and was one of those "Everyone who doesnt agree with me is one guy!" and would spam replies and make long paragraphs of schizoid ranting (Who was probably also Oilrig on second thought), and he got made fun of for it.
>>103943 By that metric H, E, Lily, and a handful of others have just as much sway There's a difference between showing up outside in general and showing up outside IN STYLE
>>103944 I dont think its a stretch to say Jane has been insanely influential on thread culture since her development, some even cite her as being the end of one OC era the the beginning of another. Beretta is mostly another post good ending child, but considering her history Jane is a beast.
holy shit shut up why do we recycle this same damn drama with the same damn talking posts every few threads are you not tired? Are you not bored of the same discussions? Look at this thing eating a banana or talk about OCs in their actual context and not le drama
Since we're talking about drawfags, I've only ever noticed maybe 4 or 5 drawfags post art outside the threads. The others I've looked and they don't have an online presence at other places at all. Why is that?
>Cyn continues to type on her keyboard. "Jane is shit and so is Beretta you are all a bunch of-" Cyn leans over to her side, spinning the 'wheel of slurs'. >Yup, today was a hard one, but someone had to do it.
>>103971 honestly that game was kinda just. eh The models where cool and the writing where fine. but I genuinely forgot it existed until you mentioned it.
Who cares which OC is more influential, make shit thats for fun or for story telling reasons. Nothing kills creativity like trying to go capitalist on a basket weaving forum, youre not getting payed for this.
The advent of Beretta/Jane OC power couple is one of those things that goes completely underrated in thread history. it was right around that time just before that anons began to run out of ideas for both of them in their initial concepts, and then somebody (probably Danon) decided to smash a traumatized war veteran and a lonely teenage girl and made the most successful OCs, against all odds they played off each other and gave eachother depth like nothing else that come before. Jane defined the story of the past the people wanted to bad and Beretta defined the future. Out of that, we got the context to bridge the Solver War and the Post-Good Ending, just like that. I personally think that it's that lack of proper dynamic why some OC's seem to boom and then flounder, like Lucy, as it is unfortunate to say, and why others seemingly thrive with companions. I think the best example right now is SD-Q and Bet, they were literal nobodies until they got put together, it was as simple as putting the eccentric with a straight man and it worked perfectly Moral of the story: pair up your OCs, like Strychnine and Marcy, me thinks
>>103948 So far I have an exoskeleton classification system, a basic timeline that is ever expanding, mech classification systems, a few bits of equipment and a short history on various models of drones. And I'm considering a pantheon too for eventual fics if I dare make them
>>103997 Yeah but the threads have kinda made a sentinel AU that isn't Phoenix's world and I figured including K was a good flag that it isn't that world.
>>103986 absolutely writeanon. he was the only person to actually save a majority of the old booru before it went down. i had a pretty large private collection, but it wasn't anywhere near what he had. in addition, he quite diligently catalogued greentexts, thousands of seperate stories a piece, something i never really touched. a good 30% of known thread images would likely be lost or ever slowly recovered if not for his work.
>>103999 I don't think most people here know about K or that all Sentinels are clones of her. Just write your setting/drones as Phoenix accurate as possible if that's what your aiming for.
Most obviously influential contentfags: 1. Pocket Steaks, for creating Jane and Oogis 2. Phoenix, for creating Sentinel Drones 3. ITanon, for creating John and Eye Honorable mentions: Lilblucat, for creating Akita, and also the modelanon that made the Akita model The Femanon, for creating the domestic universe and the N rocks meme, and shaping the thread’s sense of humor surrounding N Mercurial, for creating a lot of drawings of new OCs that hadn’t yet been drawn, and a huge amount of drawings in general Vicious Fiend, for creating Femdrone and a lot of drawings and comics both for the thread and for the wider fandom >>104003 This.
>>104066 I want to write a few worlds and stories, probably continue where I left off with Stone and maybe make some new OCs so I'm no longer a one trick pony
>>104042 You can probably piece it together from him being a prominent member of the community around for a long time and influencing the thread, eventually youre bound to get some haters after taking off anon.
>>104072 >Anon walks down the street, it's pretty hot out. >He takes off his green mask for a second, revealing his face beneath. >"Hey man, fuck you!" Some Anon several dozen feet away yells. >"Fuck you!" The unmasked Anon yells. >Afterwards he puts on the mask. >The two continue on as if nothing happened. >The nearby drones are very confused.
>>104075 This literal exact thing happened to PS but because as an artfag you cant just put a mask back on to post your art a Schizo attached himself to PS for months.
If Worker Drones were real and I had the money to do so, I'd want to buy a bunch, teach them how to be 'human' by giving them all their own real names and raising them up to become independent.
It's like having children but without the hassle of having actual biological kids or adoption. Genius.
>Your drone GF wishes you were a drone so she could love you >You want to give your Drone GF everything so you take another Drone and agree to trade bodies >You awaken in your new robotic chassis you feel... you feel >Nothing. You have an void of feeling. You are not cold, you are not hot, youre not in pain, youre not hungry, you simply are. >You feel the phantom pains of emotions, worry simulates to your new body >You try and stand and you fail to feel your muscles shift, your weight under bones, your body has no nerves, You stumble and you fall >You look up as your body moves on its own now, your Drone GF practically skipping to its side, before giving it a big smooch >This was the plan all along, your Drone GF actually loved your other drone and they wanted you out of their way, so they had your bodies switched. >Your body is over the moon, it exclaims how happy it is to finally feel what its like to kiss. Only now do you realize you cant actually feel your face shifting to a grimace of pain and confusion. >They wish you well and let you know no one is ever going to believe a butler drone like you before they leave you entirely. >You simulate tears.
>>104099 This is a valuable lesson in not setting yourself on fire to keep other warm. Never give all you are to someone, that isn't a relationship that is worship.

>>104120 >Yandere sentinel mech needs a pilot. >Not for real piloting. >More for... let's call it morality. >Turns out, bigger drones need bigger cores. >Bigger cores need more power, more complicated processors, and a slew of other things. >As it turns out, that many variables causes... a little instability. >Instability like deciding city looks better flat for a longer sightline. >Yeah, so, they created pilots. >Not a popular position when you have a robot in a line of robots that is known for often having... 'personality' issues, but hey, who doesn't want to pilot a mech? >Yeah, the pilot hasn't seen the light of day for a year now. >Because his mech refuses to let him out. >He can have food shipped in. >He has... facilities built into his suit. >But his ass has started to fuse to his mech's seat. >Worse... when he mentioned that, his mech got giddy... >Worst fucking job ever.

>>103636 The "humanity is the main villain" trope is boring to me, it's added to every sci-fi story, as if I don't know about all of humanity's flaws, while being fucking human myself.
I like the backstory created by Phenixanon, but I'll make Sentinel Drones true to humanity and humanity not a stupid bunch of drone haters for "just because" reasons.
>>104165 Because humans as we are , are evil. Just look at the state of the world. We are genuinely a plague on it, our quest for excess has been and will continue to be a blight on the universe from her till the end which might be sooner then later if things keep going as it’s going. No indomitable human spirit is going to change a capitalists mind and when we are all choking on the smog while Florida floods to the bottom of the ocean we will probably become desperate. I mean, if you really think about it, evil is a distinctly human concept. An animal can’t be evil because it lacks the worldviews or abilities to see evil or understand what evil is. Only a human being or those that we make to be human, can be evil.
>>104171 I think it’s actually nigh impossible to write a Sci-Fi story where humans aren’t completely evil in at least some way, I haven’t come across any so far.
>>104174 That’s on an individual level not taking the species into account and their actions, which is what the original discussion was. Individual humans can be good, hell most humans are I’d imagine or at least a sizable chunk, but by nature humanity is an evil plague that has not only doomed itself, but it’s own planet. It’s basically ultimate evil, it’s made itself suffer for practically no gain and destroyed any chance of rebuilding afterwords. If we are so lucky as to actually colonize other planets we will repeat the process, for ever. And god forbid we find any life out there.
>>104038 Used to dramafag a LOT before we got kicked out of co the first time. Not just being involved but instigating threadshittery and obviously thriving from the attention.
>>104177 Hate is just as important as liking something. This is literally human nature, human instinct. Se can't actually get rid of hate and other negative emotions.
>>104171 >An animal can’t be evil because it lacks the worldviews or abilities to see evil or understand what evil is. Naivety is always cute when it shows itself.
>>104187 Did you mean to reply to me because I have no idea how this conflicts or adds to what I was already saying. Yes hate is a very human emotion and is one of the more natural human instincts we have, because humanity is a naturally evil species that hates. We hate ourselves, we hate each other, we hate things that aren’t us, we are born to hate.
>>103600 >>103607 >>103622 >>103631 >>103636 >>103668 Apologies for the mass reply but it seems warranted since you guys are all discussing my lore and a common complaint that people have floated to me is that it isn't very clear or consistent since my stories are all fragmented and incomplete.
K started out as a defective Worker Drone, she was released in a batch of WDs with randomized personality traits, for a showcase of how flexible Drone programming could be in creating the perfect little servant for any possible situation. Originally she was meant to perform in complex ballet show for a crowd of investors in one of those tech expo sort of things, and was loaded with programs to support that, giving her a permanent affinity for song. Her randomized personality matrix came out morose and antisocial, but still carried the basic directives to display unwavering loyalty to humanity and JCJenson. The show director didn't like that he couldn't get her to smile or be personable or emote in a positive manner so they callously booted her to recycling. Instead of being recycled she ended up getting chucked into storage and shipped off to JCJ quality control facility in the Struve 2398 system where she eventually revived under Solver influence, playing a pivotal role as a Zombie Drone and later Disassembly Drone in that colony's assimilation. Before the planet fell she was captured by Holly and an early Calibern catch squad, subjected to some very invasive examination and then had her personality copied before being terminated. Holly also lost her right arm to K during that exchange, and the prosthesis Holly wears is actually the original K's, heavily modified. For K her memory skips until she is revived by Cyn a second time and dispatched with O (Edgy repressed sadboy) and L (bitch Bitch BITCH) to strike Oslo-2.
Her feelings towards humans are complicated, the compulsion to serve them is one of her most deeply engrained primary tasks, and makes up a fundamental part of her personality matrix, another core component is an almost total lack of self-preservation instinct. Combine that with almost no desire or need for companionship and her basic personality makes her an ideal suicidal solo operator, able to embark on hazardous tasks with no hesitation with total focus. It is both why Cyn chose to revive her multiple times with an intact personality and why Holly made the snap decision to have her personality matrix flash cloned for later use. The traumatic nature of her resurrection makes her vehemently hate the Solver, but for obvious reasons she has a deep personal vendetta against Holly and scientists in general.
As to Holly herself, I class her as an antagonist but not a villain, she wants to defeat the solver but her reasons are selfish, she is very effective but her methodology is ruthless and unsympathetic, she loves Drones but is willing to subject them to any amount of suffering necessary to accomplish those greater goals. K has perfectly understandable and justifiable reasons to hate her, but Sentinels have ingrained compulsory reasons to be obedient, and equally powerful motivations to hate Disassembly Drones and the Solver.
Hope that clarifies things a bit. I am still working slowly on the Phoenix update, I just haven't mentioned it because frankly I'm a little bit burnt out on the fandom and all my artistic pursuits. Hard to keep invested when I feel like I'm always 1-2 threads behind and people have either forgotten the last thing I wrote/drew or are already complaining that something I'm working on is "dead" because I'm not dropping updates every 24 hours or less.
>>104191 >anon thinks an animal killing another animal is exactly the same as him killing an animal. A cat plays with its food but isn’t evil because it naturally lacks empathy or any way to understand how what it is doing is wrong. A human wounding a deer and watching it bleed out doesn’t have that excuse. Animals have to eat and so does man but the sheer quantity and excess in which we have chosen to do so has doomed our planet, and the ways we have chosen to have supply meet demand is frankly barbaric. Boiling crabs alive anyone? Say what you will about Hippos at least they just crush your skull, they done modernize and industrialize your suffering. An animal can’t understand evil but it can feel pain.
>>104196 If evil is defined by the individual committing it then you're basically saying sociopaths and psychopaths have free reign to do whatever. Get philosophy'd, nerd.
>>104197 Sociopaths and Psychopaths already have free rein to do whatever and always have been. The only reason they aren’t even more free reign is because they are restricted by a very corruptible law system which is both controlled, guarded by, and benefits other sociopaths and psychopaths. It’s basically a loop of deranged people policing other poor deranged people while ignoring even more rich deranged people. If anything to get ahead in life you’re told to become more psychopathic and socially and emotionally distant from others.
>>104200 "Le humans are naturally evil and we'd be better off if we went extinct" reddit discourse that I'm totally glad to see pop up whenever it does.
>>104207 We wouldn’t but can you really say nature and assuming we manage to reach the stars the universe will be a better place because of Humans. Humans aren’t even in a better place because of Humans.
I know this all sounds doomerism and it is, but even if as a species we have been just god awful for just about everything, you should strive to be individualistically a good person, which is what most people do. You should also be happy to be born in a time where things are just bad and not super fucked which is for future generations to enjoy the fruits of our hard work, you at the very least will never experience the absolute worst of what will become our future. Spend your time being kind to others and hope they be kind back, if we are born to suffer and cause suffering you can at least try and make it less painful.
>>104213 You can choose individually choose not to be evil, which most people do, but as a species our choices have been evil, have always been, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable forever. The issue with free will is that you can choose for other people as well only yourself, and some people (those with power mostly) choose to be evil with ruins it for everyone, and there’s always going to be people with power. Of course, those without as much power are just as likely to make evil choices, but it’s usually those with excess. I can’t even say humans are a morally grey, it’s pretty much objectivist a net negative for anything but us (even including us) we rose out of that soup. I can’t think of how squirrels destroyed the ozone layer.
>>104193 Hopefully this gets saved. Solid information for people wanting to either make stuff inspired by your story structure or take inspiration and deviate away in some ways. You're a fantastic storyteller but the format of posting on an anonymous imageboard can make it difficult to keep track of things.
>>104003 I would say something similar about tomoetomoe. This anon has uploaded and is uploading a huge amount of content to Booru without letting it go to waste in the archive.
>>104122 Giant Sentinel Drones, with even bigger mental issues and the need for a human to keep them from doing truly horrible things... damn, I think I'm starting to get a new AU ripe.
My drones are slowly killing me in my sleep, and I'm not sure they mean to. I own half a dozen and usually let a few sleep with me in my bed, but lately I've been waking up with all of them laying on top of me. My bedframe has already broken once and I'm stuck with a regular ass mattress. They're progressively suffocating me I think.
>a friend of yours asks you to train his oogi >you haven't had any training with them, but you taught a dog to smoke from a bong so that's something >cursory examination through the internet tells you about a quick and easy method of teaching an oogi >retrieve switch on car battery and some alligator clamps >the little devil is babbling and trying to hug you >at least until you switch on the juice, then it just starts convulsing >its eyes dilate and the guide says this is where you implant the suggestions >however, the resistance of the beanie causes it to catch fire >you start cursing in a panic, slapping at the flames with a rag >the clamps come off, along with the tips of oogi's ears >after cleaning the wounds, you check the internet on what to do >you wait for three minutes, but the oogi is still off in la-la land >the oogi is a drooling, maimed vegetable >you've ruined it >you've ruined oogi
>>104256 >Anon thinks he's lobotmized Oogi due to his foolish realistic way of thinking >In truth what he has just done, has opened Oogi's "Third Eye" >She is now seeing the truth of the cosmos, the truth of all living things >She is now more powerful than Anon could ever possibly imagine
>>104262 Nope. Literally nothing minus 2 old joke greentexts about them becoming highly intelligent war-like beings with Tennis-Ball spaceships, that didn't get saved
>>104259 One shudders at the amount of boredom that lie behind that post. What dreams of chronic and sustained ennui... >>104261 I haven't been through the pony era of /co/ but I'm pretty indifferent to it (I remember the Pinkie one, even if it's not the worst that's ever existed, these greens aren't gonna melt my face off like Raiders of the Lost Ark). But I am somewhat glad it was pointed out so I can put in the mindfulness to ignore it later. A blemish upon the board, I suppose.
>>104287 During the presidential race a zoo released a video of a baby pygmy hippo where it had two plates of food in front of it corresponding to the two candidates and it picked the Trump plate. It is a common thing to have animals "predict" future outcomes. In some other elections it was an octopus. Once Trump was elected the libs had a big meltdown on Twitter and called for the death of the animal.
>>104289 Good for you. I can't stand the thing. Biggest nothing-burger ever. >DUDE LOOK AT THE FUNNY ANIMAL >DOESN'T IT HAVE LE WACKY AND COOL NAME? >WHY AREN'T YOU LOOKING AT THE FUNNY ANIMAL ANON?! Apologies. Just a pet peeve is all.
Last night it got under my skin when someone said that when you see more of something it is because people want more of it. There's much demand for for alt Tessas but nobody is making any.

>>104309 I love it because due to her personality she would adapt to any mutation and go on about her life using it. OG Tessa would totally react to being a dullalan by putting her head somewhere high so she can see better during a fight like an arena video game.
>>104308 Reading such heartbreaking stories about the relationship between a human and a simple worker drone, I imagine what their meeting would have been like during the solver war, where Cyn turned the drone into a desassembly drone and left him/her with memories with consciousness, and the human would have been a refugee or a soldier.
What would they say to each other? Under what conditions would this meeting have happened? Would the human have recognized his/her friend/family member/lover?
I don't remember seeing greens with this plot, but I've been away for months sometimes, so anon, if there are greens like this, can you please provide a link?

>>104320 I bragged more than I meant to. I haven't kept a lot of screens from the /co/ days. The one where Tessa suits up in an artificial snake tail was mine for example.
>>104331 >We are nature In fact, it is. Mankind is part of nature and in no way inseparable from it, even our multi-million megacities, with all this concrete, asphalt, glass, steel, cars, plastic and electricity, are nothing more than nature, which we have adjusted to ourselves, to the criteria that nature itself has laid in us.
We and everything we have created are part of nature. We and our creations are as natural as the trees and the sun itself.
>>104305 Liam did say the show's not about humans, it's about the robots in GlitchX 2023. Basically why most people, hence more percentage of people who can draw/write, would be more interested in the robots. Demand can be high but how many like Tessa as much as they like the robots? Moreso the alt ideas of her that take steps away from her as she was in the show? I get the pain of liking side characters with little screentime though.

>>104230 You 100% can For example and this shouldn’t be controversial to say, the Nazis were evil. That was a large scale civilization and I’m sure there were some good Nazis and some who just followed orders out of fear, but by and large the Nazis were evil (I know this is 4chan so there’s going to be at least one edgelord whose going to um acktually me on this) We do it all the time, and I’m sure you do as well.
