Joyful was completely wasted potential. Most of it just felt like you could replace Buddy with Brad and nothing would change. It was just an overall mess. Only good things were the music and giving Rando more screen time.

I hope Rando makes it in again this year. He's my favorite character in LISA. I love enigmatic villains like him and the G-Man.

Anyone introduced in Bayonetta 3 or God of War: Ragnarok, although it's not like anyone from Ragnarok would get in anyway. Hell I'll be surprised if Kratos gets in this year seeing as his performance gets worse and worse each year. Bayo 3 releasing will help Bayonetta and Jeane though. A bit unrelated but I hope the Live A Live remake that came out recently will help Oersted get in this year.

How good are his chances of getting in this year? The Live A Live remake did well and got a lot of people interested in the game, plus all fans of the game agree Oersted is one of, if not the best character in the game.

Seeing as Dominos and NightShift aren't coming back this year thankfully, that rule could be overturned. Really it should be overturned cause there's no reason to allow AM but ban Geralt. I also hope the gun control rule is overturned so Ebony and Ivory can return this year. They were the best part of Qo/v/ last year.

Side note: whatever happened to sheets and Macho Manon? Both just disappeared after hosting 2020 and 2019 respectively. Wonder if either of them will come back this year. Macho Manon was the best host.

Who out of the 2020 Elite Eight will get that far again this year?
For Qo/v/, I can see Tifa, Amaterasu, and Morrigan making it to Elite Eight again, Chun-Li, 2B, and Aigis have a shot, and Cirno probably won't.
For Ko/v/, I only really see Vergil and Scout making it that far again. JC and Edgeworth have a chance, Raiden and Travis will get in but not make it far, and Sam won't make it past qualifiers.

I'm rooting for the Mad Dog. I think ideally he should get 3rd place to match Kiryu, which is fitting for Majima. He also has the best song in the series:

Gun control should be overturned since that was only voted on due to last year's hosts being assblasted that E & I beat out Maya and Zelda. The other rule was just double standards, so Geralt should definitely come back this year. Honestly I'm a bit surprised that last year managed to be really good seeing as it felt like the hosts were trying to sabotage it at every turn with shit like the new rules, rigging accusations with zero proof, and the whole thing with Nyarlathotep.

Kirby being rigged does kinda make sense with how highly seeded he was, with him somehow placing higher than /v/ favorites like Wario, Heavy, and Coach. It's funny how if he was rigged, he still lost to Nyarlathotep. Guess Nyarly is just that based.

Probably the Batter but I personally liked Nyarlathotep the most last year. Him going from funny Hitler man to the biggest funposter of the tournament was great and he was my second favorite out of last year's Elite Eight behind Kiryu, and I'm sad that neither of those two can come back this year, although Nyarly will probably find some way to get back in.

Will Charles have a good shot this year? Anons were pretty assblasted last year when he lost to Heavy, so that might gain him some more support if people are still mad about that for whatever reason, but he was seeded low and had close calls against Alucard and Solaire, so I don't think he'll make it to sweet 16 again this year, but I'd like to be proven wrong.

You think Johnny Gat has a chance this year despite the travesty that is the new saints row?

Which one of the mercs will make it to Elite Eight this year? Heavy is banned from this year, but with Scout coming back, I can see him reaching Elite Eight again. I'm personally rooting for Spy the most.

Back in 2018, a guy started a show called The Final Rumble, where he used the custom character creator in the WWE 2K games to make game characters and other things like the Bogdanoffs and Fred Jones from Scooby-Doo 2. Two characters he made were Battler and 47, and they became rivals who fought like a hundred times and are the most notable characters of TFR.

He'll get my support but personally I'm rooting for Majima or Ichiban the most, partly because Kiryu can't come back and partly because they're just as good as him. Maybe Yakuza 8 will get an official announcement before the tournament and boost their chances.

I think Phoenix can easily make it to semi-finals again and has a good shot at winning. He only lost to Morshu last year by like 50 votes, so if he got a bit more OC and support, I think he can go pretty far. I think the characters with the best shots at winning this year are Wright and Jack Garland.

Kiryu is arguably the strongest heavy hitter, perhaps only behind Doomguy (who beat him in the 2019 semifinals); he wins most of his matches by huge margins and has placed third the two times he has participated. There probably isn't a better contestant to job to.
You could attribute AM's sucess last year to being put in the same group of characters as Batter and Grimm (which I think is questionable at best because he got handed way harder matches than either of them), so it remains to be seen if he can do well on his own this year.

It'd be kinda funny. I'm sad Kiryu can't come back this year because he's one of my favorite game characters, but also I think he has one of the best chances of winning one of these tournaments. If he got even half of the support that characters like Morshu and Wario got last year, he'd be pretty much guaranteed the win.

Batter was a good winner but was a lot worse than Armstrong and Dante. He represents indie games well but isn't as fun and interesting or is synonymous with the board as the other two. I think Kiryu or Wario would've been the best winners.
