HA! BOOM BABY! I am back for another tournament! Now, as I am the greatest, I was the first to be nominated, meaning I'm the first on the poll, and what's a better way to kick off your voting spree than with seeing my wonderful face?
As to why I'm here, it's because that living fossil that is apparently my advisor told me it would be a good idea for me to participate in a smaller tournament to help build up my recognition. Personally, I don't understand the point about needing to be recognized. I mean, I'm Kuzco the emperor. I even made it to Elite Eight in Mr. /co/ once, way better than any of these suckers in my kingdom, but whatever, I'm here, and I'm ready to groove. What I would like each and every one of you to do is check the box that has my lovely name and picture on it, and keep it checked until the poll closed, capiche?
Frankly, I don't know why I have to go through this qualifier process. I've seen some of the other contestants, and they're small fry compared to me. They don't even have a theme song guy! Vote for me, and I'll make sure as the emperor this tournament will keep its groove.

The Qualifiers have started but there's no need to rush, the 1st round doesn't start until Tomorrow so be sure to consider each nominee, even the ones you don't know.
There are many unseen hero's out there and this may be their chance to be appreciated for all that they've done.

I'm sorry but am I missing something? You're breaking your own rules. Oogtar and Robotnik .jr are fine since they're cartoon-exclusive characters but Mario and Luigi are just Mario and Luigi. Asterix and Obelix are both from Gaul, which is under Roman control, except for their small village. The village is able to drive the Roman forces back with the help of a magic potion made by the druid Getafix, which makes whoever drinks it invincible (and various other effects like super strength, super speed, etc.)
Asterix is small, but smart and brave. He is the main character of the series and serves as the hero of the village. He's a good fighter and strategist, but still not insanely powerful without the help of the potion.
Obelix is big (don't call him fat) and a bit dumb, but he's still the best friend of Asterix and the second main character of the series. When he was little, he fell into the magic potion cauldron, which resulted in him having permanent super strength and not being allowed to drink any of the potion (except in very few dire cases).
