Plan is one week after Ms. /co/.
Also I'm not sure if the name's gonna be /aco/ since it's not gonna be entirely reflective of the the tourney in terms of where it's held and who's allowed.

Both would be great winners. Eds of course have been the most apparent choice from the start, but Coast to Coast would fit just as well. Zorak having won Mr. /co/ might be the one thing holding them back.

I mean the title of /aco/ still fits because it's cartoon, vidya and anime porn, even if hosted in /trash/.

Anime is not allowed on /aco/ sorta. Or at least eastern drawings which is why it got banned off the board last time.

IIRC isn't Ed, Edd n Eddy one of those shows CN can't bring back no matter what because Danny Antonucci did something to prevent that?

Danny Antonucci struck a very rare deal with CN because they wanted him to make a show so bad. So he had creative control over the show and some control over the property as a whole which is very rare. He has a veto for new content among other things, so effectively only he could make a reboot of the show. And he said the show is completed entirely and he does not like reboots so it is never happening.
Effectively they cannot make more unless he dies

>Effectively they cannot make more unless he dies
This is the thing that scares me really, CN would actually do that if the chance appears. I can't imagine how bad the backlash would get especially after giving the original such a perfect ending with the movie.

Let's not forget that Tony Sampsons (Voice actor of Eddy) can't legally voice any characters since 2009. The production company he was working under threatened to blacklist him from the acting industry after requesting a raise.

It is not like Nick made spinoff shows as soon as Hillenburg died and his veto was gone

Funnily enough, Danny pitched EEnE to Nickelodeon and they rejected it precisely because they didn't give him creative control. I believe it's this, Adventure Time and other shows that also got rejected and later were pitched for CN.

Man, once Nickelodeon got SpongeBob they just stopped caring about having other animated shows in their schedules. They only cared if the next show becomes something they can milk to the death.

Ironic considering Nick originally had no faith in the sponge and were banking CatDog and Rocket Power to be their big break out hits.

In a different timeline SpongeBob would have ended in the movie. But I can't imagine how the fuck Nick would manage to keep CatDog alive for so long.

After the weirdness of the third /cov/, I don't mind at all having two safe finalists. Predicting that at least a couple of the big tournaments later this year are likely to have several surprises anyway with the results after last year ended up a huge push back toward normalcy.

Perhaps but /v/ is having its m/v/p year, and has only had the one "traditional" winner for king and a recent somewhat oddball winner for queen, so would not be surprised to see two powerhouses take /v/. Also occurs to me /v/ has never had a year where two established powerhouses won.

I can't imagine /co/ straying too far from traditional picks either, especially since this is the start of their second season.

King is the most likely to go for a safe winner this year, but at the same time last year put several other fan favorites off the ballot this year. There's still quite a few big hitters left, but plenty of room left for chaos as well.
