I know you got Spinel, Fang, and Garland their respective winning years, but even they didn't Eds winning margins.

I was curious to see how the Trio victory screen was going to look like due to the amount of characters. It turned out cool.

People just wanted to dunk on Neo. People were too hard on him.

A lot of the lack of energy could be traced back to Gabriele. Coayy wanted a breather after the /cov/ disaster but that retard was going to cause another tourney catastrophe unless coayy rushed something out.
Between that and trying to force the loli tournament for this month, it's clear he's doing this on purpose.

I mean as in "purely in reaction to how well or not well perceived powerhouses are doing". If they're doing really well, people tend to want harsher E8 measures. If they're doing poorly, people tend to want looser E8 measures ,and this had ebbed and flowed a bit back and forth.

People think(or at least thought at the time) they were the same guy. If it's later proven Neo ISN'T Gabe than I'd be open to easing up on /cov/ 2026 since in that case we went a bit too hard, but if they're the same person than it's clearly deliberate

I don't care if they are separate people, the fuck ups in /cov/ as well even resurrecting it were too much to be an accident.
I don't get the sudden want to ease up on some random host.

The irony is that this tournament only existed because EEnE supporters were tired of them being cucked out of E8. Yet by the time it was held, Eddy had managed his big E8 break in the main tournament.
Could explain the lack of activity here come to think of it.

Again, let's hope it doesnt' backfire like Hank's did. If the Eds go back to struggling on mains and people cite this that would be sad

I guess the OC from this tourney should be uploaded here.
I assume "trios_of_/co/_2026" would be an appropriate tag, these are gonna be annual tournaments, right?

Ladies and gentlemen, anons and cartoon enthusiasts across the globe, the votes are cast, the bracket has been finalized, and we crown the first ever Trio of /co/ champions! Your winners are...

*drum roll sound*

THE EDS!!!

And the margin of victory is overwhelming. The Eds didn't just win 1st place this tournament, they steamrolled through it. From the initial qualifiers to the grand finale, they defeated heroes, villains, icons, legends, and fellow masters of mayhem in their path. Ultimately, Peach Creek's trio proved that the power of friendship, sheer stubbornness, and undeniably terrible ideas can ultimately overcome anything.

>2nd place: Coast to Coast!!!
What a journey. The animated universe's most dysfunctional talk show duo and their villainous co-host defied all expectations by making it all the way to the championship match. Their outlandish synergy and constant infighting were somehow the ultimate key to their success.

>3rd place: The Warners!!!
The Warners secured their spot in the podium's top three after a thrilling semifinal loss. Their musical numbers, relentless slapstick, and meta-commentary were more than enough to earn them a bronze medal.

>4th place: Alien Force!!!
A team that boasted impressive power and had a genuine chance to take the title from the outset. Though they fall just short of a top-three finish, their performance was remarkable.

Final Placements:
>5th Place: Aqua Teen Hunger Force (Master Shake, Meatwad & Frylock)
>6th Place: The Trinity (Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman)
>7th Place: Freedom Fighters (Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot & Antoine d'Coolette)
>8th Place: Operation: Everyone's Lying (Dale Gribble, Sticks the Badger & Dib Membrane)

It was truly an exceptional first tournament. We witnessed the downfall of some of the most iconic characters, the unexpected rise of unlikely heroes, and enough cartoonish insanity to fill a library. From the very first ballot cast to the final moments of voting, you've all made this a truly memorable event.

Please join me in congratulating The Eds, our very first Trio of /co/ champions! Thank you all so much for voting, debating, campaigning, and ultimately creating a tournament to be remembered. It's been a wild ride!

I'm Brenda Springer, signing off from the official Trio of /co/ afterparty! Until next time, stay safe out there, and remember: if a plan seems like pure madness, it's probably an Ed scheme!

It was officially called just “Trios of /co/” but if another installment happens it will retroactively be referred to as “Trios of /co/ 2026”
There likely will be a 2nd installment at some point so it would be easier to tag it with 2026 now instead of having to go back to change it

This has been done before. The first two Tag Team's were called "Two's a /c/rowd" and even then after that both names were used interchangeably for a bit.

I always kinda hate how these minor tournaments just end and everyone moves on immediately.
I don't think the winners ever get any kind of celebratory art.
