It's Google themselves who aggressively push for webp adoption by penalizing sites which do not use webp (run any website through Google PageSpeed, it will scream rape and murder if you don't use webp). Which leads to every website hosting jpgs but serving dynamically re-encoded, lower quality webp instead through backend plugins. And you cannot access the original unconverted file. This is why the format is a cancer and only plays a part in decaying the internet. XKCD illustrated why this is a problem.

I'm considering allowing webp uploads, but only by internally re-encoding it to jpeg at something like 25% quality, and serving it as .jpg.webp.jpg. Fight cancer with cancer.

For this round, to mitigate potential subterfuge, I am ordering you all to implement the Buddy System! Every henchman pick a buddy, and do not let them out of your sight! Watch them even as you vote for the Fluttering Horde, for even a moment's carelessness could find a knife in your back or a bomb in your pocket!

Hello and welcome to the third round of the exciting Tag-Team tournament! We have made it further into the competition folks, and the battles are getting even more intense as we speak. Let's see what we can find:

At match 2, a father-son battle is taking place as hip sons and idiot fathers duke it out. Bart and Max are having a serious dance-off with each other as they try to outperform the other. Meanwhile, the dads are....having a pattycake? No wait, they having slap-off here. These guys are showing no mercy as they constantly slap each other like manchildren. Their sons however, are having a Dance Dance Revolution battle as they try to trip each other foot off, but neither one is backing down. This is the most chaotic father-son face-off we ever seen, which family will prove their worth?

At match 3, we haven't seen Spy Vs Spy for some reason as The Fluttering Horde spend the next five minutes searching for their opponents. Just as the Monarch is about to celebrate his victory by giving his wife a big smooch, the reveal finally happens! It turns out that the spies have put Dr Mrs The Monarch captive right before the match even started and have disguised themselves as her in order for them to strike with their guns, ruining The Monarch's wings which completely prevents himself from flying away. The scientist tries to fight back with laser guns, but the spies seems to have messed up his weapons while he wasn't looking as it now shoots ink out of it. Can The Monarch outsmart the spies, or will Spy Vs Spy complete their third mission?

At match 7, Nevada's Absolute Gunmen are in a shooting spree as Witches Rule desperately try to dodge their fast-paced bullets. Luz counterattacks with a magic spell that summons magical orbs at the gunmen, but the two rolled out of the way of the upcoming blast. However, this only gives Amity the advantage as she traps them in a bubble that will probably take more than 10 bullets take it down. As Nevada's Absolute Gunman is trying to break out of their prison, who will win in this battle of magic and warfare?

At match 14, Daffy Duck is going to need more than a mallet to break down Mr. Krabs' tough armor as he desperately tries to crack it open with several kinds of gadgets. However, what he only got was a smack on the face by the greedy crab and crashes onto the wall like a soaring football. Meanwhile, Zorak isn't facing any better than his partner as he tries to cook Spongebob with his ray gun, but he can only get zap by his own blast after the fry cook deflect them with his spatula. Can Batmantis vs Super Daffy put an end to their opponent's games, or will The Krusty Krab's Kantankerous Kapitalistic Konquest make the ultimate profit of beating two long /co/ rivals?

With the near-quarterfinals in reach, it's safe to say things are only getting more outrageous than the last. Who will be the 16 pairs to make it out alive? Vote now!
