Considering how last /an/ tournament got shat on after a bunch of obnoxious tourney metafags and schizos invaded it that would probably be for the best

Not really feeling it, and I was the one that NAMED the thing. The first year was unique but I honestly felt it really should’ve been a one off thing (and still believed it should) but a few tourney posters kept going “It’s just as important” and insisted to make another, so it happened and it was a slow mess without any of the spirit of the first tournament.

Posting this ahead of time incase anybody else wants to try and continue from Round 3 themselves.

Gonna keep it a bean here, I think after today's match ends I'll need to be stepping down as it's host, possibly even just shutting down the tournament if there's no takers. We're 4 days into this and any motivation or confidence I had in myself from earlier this week has been depleted nigh entirely. Every step of the way I've been making one clumsy mistake after another. For Example: I didn't even notice that I completely screwed Dolphins and Ducks out from rightful entry until someone else pointed it out. And this was AFTER I already nearly left out 3 other contestants with the exact same tally of votes as the Dolphins and Ducks.
Not to mention there's other things, both for-fun personal projects and important tasks for friends and family, that've come up which I feel should really be taking priority over maintenance for a virtual online contest for strangers. Don't get it twisted. I said it earlier and I'll say it again, I love the /an/lympics. It's a awesome idea and I feel it should be more then just a one-off event. But I fear it's become apparent to everybody in the room that it'll never get the respect or care it deserves if someone of my skill level is at the helm. I'd much rather swallow my pride & rip off this band-aid now then continue stringing everybody along for the rest of the week to a disappointing ending.

you're doing a good job, sure mistakes happen but so long as it doesn't lead to something unfair then its no harm overall
I still make mistakes, not always, I know the first /an/ was my first proper tournament and I still believe I messed up something but I stuck with it
If anyone else wants to step up or someone new wants to have a crack at hosting then go ahead, I could take over if you wish, I may have to leave it a day as tomorrow specifically I'll be busy between 5-9pm est and I'm unsure how much time I'll be able to have to get things ready and posted

There's also the matter of when it aired. it falls right into that millenial nostalgia timeframe that's been the boards main demographic. Basically it's all the mentioned factors. Not big enough to be ruined or obscure enough to be forgotten, not Disney iconic or nu era enough to be spited. Early tourney preference and slightly less shade on Disney at the time. He'd probably have less of a chance winning now.
