The problem is that women are often put into secondary or supporting roles, or even if they are protagonists they might be featured in genres not as popular among male demographics. This is especially the case in a lot of popular anime and manga. I'm somewhat surprised none made it into this tournament's quarterfinals, but it's hard to ever expect a majority female Elite Eight in any tournament that's not female-specific.

I already posted her in the last thread but she's essentially one of the oldest "evil women" that got popular on /a/. I think she was even popular back when it was called /b/ - Anime & Random.
Suigintou would probably make for a more interesting campaign than any other doll, including Suiseiseki though, since she doesn't shy away from fighting.
/tnt/'s demographics are kind of hard to read compared to /a/'s, however, and the way campaigning affects tourneys is way different.

I agree it was likely this. Most of the top female contenders had some brutal match-ups early on. Having Madoka against Joseph off the bat was rough, and if you want to go further that entire eighth of the bracket had a number of top girls that might have ended up wiping anyways to Kenshiro.

Green Jacket Lupin = Probably the most of a "gentleman thief", thoughtful yet still mischievous and is more brazen in his heists. Also a complete gentleman when it comes to girls, even Fujiko he can be pretty reserved around
Red Jacket Lupin = Lighthearted and goofy, usually gets himself into increasingly bizarre circumstances, and a complete slobbering wolf when it comes to hot women, especially Fujiko who he tends to lose all sense around. The comparison to red shirt Shaggy is pretty spot-on
Pink Jacket Lupin = Amplified version of Red Jacket, extremely zany, cartoony, and at this point Lupin is basically a Looney Tunes character. If you think Red Jacket adventures get weird, Part 3 gets really fucking weird (in a fun way)
Blue Jacket Lupin = Serious and determined, this version is usually more focused on righting injustice, taking down big bads, and uncovering truths than going on heisting sprees. Probably the most "upright" Lupin

Welcome to the quarter rounds of the exciting Heroes of /a/ tournament. We're finally here folks, our newest Elite Eight have appeared and are fighting for the crown; this is truly a sight to see. Let's see our matches:

At match 1, Lupin is taunting the hell out of Piccolo as he dodges his Antenna Beam with quick refluxes. If that's not truly annoying for the Namekian to handle, the thief managed to sneak behind him and kick him in the ass! Piccolo tumbles down to the ground as Lupin stomps his torso that was followed by another taunt from the mischievous burglar. Will Piccolo's chances get stolen by Lupin, or will the Namekian reclaim those chances?

At match 2, Yugi is at a tough spot as Guts just destroyed both his Celtic Guardian and Chimera The Flying Mystical Beast with no problem. The warrior now goes straight for the duelist who uses Swords of Revealing Light to stop him in his tracks. Can the king of game win this tough duel, or will he force to give up the crown to Guts?

At match 3, the Evangelian Unit 01 has locked onto Kenshiro and began to shoot him. However, the warrior has evade the attack and gives the mecha a good hit at the leg. Kenshiro began to his scale across the giant robot as Shinji tries to shake him off in panic, but it seems useless as the man continuously punches the metal surface. Will Kenshiro take down this mecha, or will Shinji put the foot down on him?

At match 4, Bobo just summoned his latest weapon for his fight against D: Simon Belmont! The warrior whack his whip around the vampire hunter as the afro man repeatedly smacks D in the face. Fortunately for the vampire hunter, his left hand managed to save him as it blows a strong wind against Bobo and Simon as they got blown away. Who will win this match?

The finals are getting closer, but we still have eight more heroes to go. Who will be our final fours? Vote now!
