Here's something fun you can do if you have a silver coin: MELT!
Silver is the most effective conductor in existence, of both heat and electricity. In fact, high quality thermal pastes, possibly in your PC right now often contain silver in them to facilitate better heat transfer. It's even more effective then copper, though due to the cost of material involved silver heat sinks aren't really a thing.
Anyway, if you have a silver Quarter, Dime, or half-dollar (assuming you're a burger. Check the edges of the coin and see if the date is "1964" or older) you can use it to melt ice like a knife.
Grab an Ice cube and grab your coin good and hard. Press down the edge into the ice cube. You'll carve straight through that solid water like Liam Neeson carved his lightsaber through that big metal door in the Phantom Menace. It's pretty fun. Just don't give yourself frostbite, because that silver saps heat directly out of your hand as a conductor.

Dumbest yet surprisingly practical use to get out of a silver bar of any size (assuming you aren't melting it down and turning it into something else) is if you have a tub of ice cream, but it's being stubborn coming out of the container, rub the silver bar along the tub. I'm not joking, it melts the outermost portion of the ice cream enough that it doesn't stick to the tub anymore, but also doesn't turn the whole mass of ice cream into a gross milk soup like it does if you let it sit out to have a melty. Don't eat a lot of ice cream but if you get a REALLY stubborn tub like Haagan Daaz (I like their Matcha flavor a lot) can often be it's pretty effective.

Don't assume Silver is by default second place. In some cases gold can't even be bothered to show up. The first modern olympics hosted in Athens in 1896 didn't even use gold medals. Silver was first place, Copper was second. Gold KWABBED out of the premiere, and was only *retroactively added to that year's results.
Also, the highest ranking honor in the Boy Scouts is the Silver Buffalo. This comes from the tradition of silver being the highest rank in the US military, as silver stars can be made out of sterling, while gold typically is merely gold plated brass.
