Okay, but the whole reason Dastardly Duo got so far is because people love how well Dick pairs with Waluigi. It's not like someone nominated Waluigi with some random guy to get on the bracket, especially when we're talking about WALUIGI. Dick has still been in most of the art for the team and people were directly talking about Wacky Races for several threads. He's just a really fun villain, and even then there's a big difference between one guy being more vocal in threads and one guy just simply carrying the team.

If there's ANYBODY left that's being carried, I'd argue it's Wily even if he fits with Doof.

Are they? Dick Dastardly has always felt like one of the most well-regarded of Hanna-Barbera's original creations aside from the obvious mainstream icons, not to mention he starred in TWO cartoons that got rerun during a lot of voters' childhoods. It's also not hard to see how he would pair well with Waluigi just off design alone, and I doubt many will have issues recognizing a mainstay in Mario spin-offs.

Absolutely agree, there's just way too many guys to cover anyone. Some really notable or promising contestants have never qualified, some have only done so early on before the modern format, and then we see wastes of spots like Black Hat qualifying for 3 years

I'm not the only Xavieranon but I did do a lot of it in Mr. 2022. Of course I don't mind, the more love I character I support gets, the better. For one, I don't have to worry about just wanting to relax and not constantly campaign when I'm at my computer.

IS Waluigi a campaigner favorite? I know people have lightly pushed him over the years, but most of his serious stuff in the past King and Co-op was related to Warioanon or Wario in general. This is the best chance Waluigi has ever gotten to shine. That anon is also absolutely right about King. It would take something huge for Waluigi to even get him in Elite Eight, and even then I'm skeptical. Wario is a frontrunner to win, Luigi is a former elite, Mario has on-and-off hype, and even Bowser will keep fighting Waluigi for attention.

When /trash/ happens I thought of doing the Griswold family, and the campaign is a big road trip. Each round involves them going on vacation to wherever the opponent is, and Clark tries to treat it as such but the others try to keep out of trouble, something Clark's travel plans unfortunately lead to.
