With Metroid so shit upon I have a hard time even LOOKING at Nintendo without groaning, but that controller tech is impressive (fuck that name though)

I'm not gonna buy a Zelda breath of the wild machine, I was mildly interested in the new Mario game.

The Launch Window lineup on Switch is the best I've seen for a Nintendo console in a long time.

If Nintendo drops a "killer app" game around the holidays — "Super Mario Odyssey" would be the most likely candidate — it could have a hell of a good run this year.

(An SNES Mini would probably help, too.)

The way that boxing works it would be a shame not to see a new Punch-Out game for this console.

If they can deliver on that Rumble HD brining some enhanced realism than I'd be interested. It's all well and good for Valve to talk about the Steam and Vive gear being about to communicate things like texture and objects with the haptics. It's another to have game that actually use it.

So Fire Emblem Gaiden is getting a remake and it actually looks kinda interesting. The story seems to be attempting some degree of nuance compared to what FE: Fates tried and failed miserably at.

So what's everyone think of breath of the wild?

Finished the four main dungeons and about to enter hyrule castle. I think it's been a great fucking ride overall so far.

Also maybe I just don't notice it much, but I've been playing on Wii u and the slowdown and frame drops don't seem anywhere near as bad as people have made them out to be. Especially compared to other open world games.

Must say I do like the title of Calamity Ganon.

Ganon kinda sucks this go around, and I'll probably never replay it since there's no particular strong main throughline, but this was a lot of fun and will probably sit at 3 for me alongside TP, just under MM with WW on top.

It's weird how silent all the menus are on the switch given that there has been music in all of the interfaces since the Wii.

I'd love them to try the whole Crystal Chronicles 1 thing again only without the retarded "everyone needs a GBA" requirements this time.

Nintendo has revealed that the recently-announced Metroid Prime 4 is not developed by Retro Studios, the developer who made the first three games.

Instead, Nintendo’s Bill Trinen revealed at a group interview that the game is being built by a “talented new development team.” Despite the shift, the game will still be overseen by longtime producer Kensuke Tanabe, who produced the previous Metroid Prime games.

I'm thinking an Advance Wars style game set in the Splatoon universe could be pretty fun. Named NPCs as COs and different player loadouts for unit types seems like a good fit, as do the terrain capture and hiding-in-ink mechanics.

I'm really liking it. Bought it for the WiiU, kind of annoying that I don't have a way to get the pictures I take onto my comptuer now that Miiverse is gone other than taking a picture of my television. Might be able to hook up a capture card, though. Forgot to get the DLC before I started, not sure if I want to start over to try the master quest given that aside form autosaves you only get one save slot per user profile.

I'm thinking Twili Midna could work well as an echo fighter of Bayonetta: They're both snarky women with dark powers that include magic hair and the ability to summon large hands, and they've got reasonably similar builds.

I heard there's only one more new character to be announced so I doubt she's getting in. No idea about DLC.

Wow, hearing about EVERY character coming back for ultimate is pretty hype. The fact all the previous DLC and 3rd party characters can be in the game was a surprise.

Not quite enough to make me buy a switch for it but certainly caused me a moments consideration.

It would be interesting if there was some alternate gamemode to take advantage of all these characters, like some sort of kiddy quasi-strategy mode from an rpg or something... group them into units and move them about a map or series of maps/scenarios, battles between units are carried out like usual in gameplay but modified by various effects and each character in the unit functions like a Stock.

Am I alone in having actually really loved the story mode from Brawl?

I'd like Doomguy to be in, because his bff Isabelle is a fighter and they could team up.
Wonder Red is one I've wanted from the start, with the other Wonderful Ones backing him up in various ways.
Dante would be cool I guess, has alot of potential for movelist and fits alongside the likes of Bayonetta. Would also be another dig at the playstation knockoff smash-clone in that Nintendo's game has both the actual Solid Snake and the actual Dante compared to their Raiden and Donte.

It would be funny though if the very last fighter added to the game was Waluigi
