Aside from the oxymoron, there is and will always be a saying for ms. /a/:

Unless Daffy makes finals again, I guarantee you Mr. /co/lympus 2022 will be won by another tournament veteran like Grievous who has been just right under the Top Eight slot before. Kermit and Donal have the best shot at winning, meanwhile other characters like Zuko and Zim seem more fucked in this regard, but could still attain the title of Elite Eight for the first time. Expect this year to be heavily dominated by animal/anthro characters, but we are also going to see a lot of new faces and many of them will do far better than those who made their first appearance last year, by comparisson. Finally, most of the 2019 elite who lost early this 2021 (Courage, Grim, Bugs, Doof) have good chances of making another deep run, however I predict half of the 2020 elite are going to get spitevoted hard.

Feet up my arse i have no clue. Chris isn't entirely on board per say, the only legitimate members of the Plunderers is Silver, Ruber, and Zorak. Griffin seems like a nice option but it seems somewhat repetitive to have two characters from the same movie join the crew.

But, i wouldn't complain. As it stands he isn't the worst option, but we'll see when the tournaments actually starts. The team formations in King /v/ were somewhat fun and considering that F.A.R.T.S. and Plunderers of the /co/ast were a prototype of Alliances and Teams we'll see, we might have even more people join the crew.

every rper/character that i can remember(which is not a lot), in tiers A-F

Henchgwen, gotta love Henchgwen. I said in another thread that she was "lightning in a bottle", but it can't be understated how much more she had going for her than other characters who support each other.
-she had a reason to back Dr. Mrs. The Monarch that didn't make her into a massive cuck (Black Widow was killing the losers and Gwenpool joined the Coccoon to hide)
-There was an actual group for her to join other than a vague "supporters of [x character]"
-The Monarch and Henchmans 21 and 24 were also involved in RP at the time, so Henchgwen wasn't on her own but rather a comedic addition to a group of comedic characters.
-Dr. Mrs. The Monarch would remain in the tournament until the finale, meaning Gwen wasn't constantly jumping ship when the candidate she was currently backing lost.
-The outfit. You can't beat that bug custume.
This is why both the later addition of Fang and Spear as henchmen and Gwen's support for other candidates last year didn't stick with me in the same way. None of them fit well the way Henchgwen did. But that ain't all, how was her performance?
Can I let you guys in on a secret? I fucking hate rolling for GETs. It's a big fucking waste of time where everyone posts stupid shit and one of them gets to go "ohhh guys I got the GET!!!!" except half the time the GET goes to a post in some bumfuck thread halfway across the board and then nobody is satisfied. But Gwen continually failing to achieve GETs? by just a few numbers? fucking hilarious. made it all the more sweeterer when she finally got them by accident. A part of me wishes the arrangement was made permanent, but then there'd be little reason for her to do anything because Dr. Mrs. The Monarch already won.
it was fun watching her fail, it was fun watching her succeed, and no matter how much things may change, in my heart she'll always be Henchgwen.

Coming from 2020's Tag Team event, Sea Crab and Man Inc. was a hilarious duo that delivered quality post after quality post in both campaigning and interaction. I don't like Gravity Falls, but Stan is one of the better characters in that show. You put two funny characters together, balance them just right, and what you get is a bonafide comedy duo. If by some chance Tag Team isn't dead I eagerly anticipate seeing these two again next year.

The Monarch, gotta love The Monarch. Can you believe I didn't want these guys to come back for 2021? What WAS I thinking? What gives The Monarch an edge is that there are actually two people roleplaying him, and they both have distinct writing styles. One does long speeches but is less interactive, while the other does shorter back-and-forths with other roleplayers. With their powers combined they make The Monarch a very versatile character who never feels out of place. I don't know if this happened by accident or if there's some kind of behind-the-scenes agreement, but either way I'd love to see this happen with more characters. Of course, the people playing them need to have different voices or else there'd be no point.

He was the epitome of background noise to me. whenever something more interesting was going on, he'd be there making some snarky comments, but it wouldn't really contribute to the situation. or it would just make it more convoluted. or disgusting.
I genuinely cannot remember anything this fucker did, except for his electroshock session with The Monarch. and god, I really do not want to remember that.

I believe that the best way to learn how to do something right is to watch other people get it wrong. it is for this reason that I feel Jackiefag should be required study for anyone who wants to get into RPing because she is the prime example of what happens when you make your roleplay about yourself and not the tournament.
