Interesting thing though, Snorkmaiden from the series received more votes than anyone else in it. The only difference in her nomination being that she got in from "Moomin" instead of "The Moomins", putting her on an earlier page too.

The Cold War was a period of geopolitical tension between the United States and the Soviet Union and their respective allies, the Western Bloc and the Eastern Bloc. The term cold war is used because there was no large-scale fighting directly between the two superpowers, but they each supported opposing sides in major regional conflicts known as proxy wars. The conflict was based on the ideological and geopolitical struggle for global influence by these two superpowers, following their roles as the Allies of World War II that led to victory against Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan in 1945.[2] Aside from the nuclear arms race and conventional military deployment, the struggle for dominance was expressed via indirect means, such as psychological warfare, propaganda campaigns, espionage, far-reaching embargoes, sports diplomacy, and technological competitions like the Space Race.

Honestly, I'm starting to understand NSA's mindset a bit more I think. Though he's demonstrated that he's a bit of a cunt in the past, the idea that he should assume a more dominant role in taking charge over the tournaments is sort of tempered by the rigging problem in the first place. The ideal is that the popularity contest is swung by the board and ran by the board, but that's only wishful thinking at this rate. This isn't /co/'s tourney in a spiritual sense, but moreso whoever was swinging with the most accounts. The game was rigged from the start.

Kinda makes Fang's run a bit inspiring, though I would be equally likely to believe that there may have been counter-rigging involved to her benefit that offset whatever was put against her.

Tbh I'm willing to believe some anons skipped Amity because they like Luz more or think Amity had it in the bag based on previous years but I also do think Amity got caught up in some of the rigging. Which would make sense, to say she would be a controversial winner would be an understatement.

Fuck, well, at least me and the other Tiffbro tried our best to get her to win fair and square.

how do we know that the next guy to step up isn't just temp, numnuts or fuse in a suit and tie? Moreover, shouldn't they have to

It’s fans shat up the threads with borderline spam while it was revealed that they were in the minority. Meaning proportionately they just posted a fuckton all the time. People don’t like seeing the same thing over and over

It's an extension of the board's immense hate for any characters with zoomer-fanbases. I think a lot of the DTVA and Vivziepop spite rubbed off on them.

I was gonna root for tinkerbell now that Alice lost (though Peni is my only remaining off-hand nom). Guess I'll draw her to warm up my OC making tomorrow.

I am however surprised Marcy got through over the other two calamity girls.

I’ll post this in the next Ms /co/ thread too, but I’m actually fucking demoralized.

Did the email rule drive people away? Were half the votes the last few years fake? Are the hosts being overzealous with their vote removal? All of the above?

I just don’t care anymore, between this and all my picks being shredded I’m not going to participate the rest of the year, I’ll check in to see how things go but I am not voting the rest of the year.

Do not let her loss demoralize you, it’s a grim situation and I doubt she’ll make the elite eight next time, but we won’t stop trying anyway. Least she got in

Don’t do it, I think a lot of the votes were rigged. Mr /co/ actually had a lower voting count in general and seems more likely that they don’t rig at all(or nearly as much) because everyone agrees everyone man that gets in is a worthy winner. Be strong lad
