discussing and planning for bottom tournaments ruins the whole fucking point of them
>>23225
This, you definetly don't want to shill your pick here because people would vote for them.
>>23224
Discuss what? Maid & Butler are just fun little things for characters that no one voted for, there's nothing to actually talk about.
Should there be a similar tournament for /co/?
>>23239
/co/'s tournaments are always shit so yeah why not
>>23262
Funny space mantis was a much better winner than HEAVY BIAS SPAM.
>>23273
Someone is yet to spill their bodily fluids over a Mr. /co/ contestant.
>>23273
Yeah King is so straight. Like those times people post Garland porn and Jack Frost porn.
>>23283
Ah how could I forget. Also Grimm raping Yugi for almost the entire tournament. Very straight stuff for very straight men.
>>23271
Nah, Garland was great. Funny how he was regarded as a such a deserving guy and now everyone around shits on him. Sore fucking campaigners I think.
>>23292
>can’t go defending Fartland without shitting on campaigners first
Yaaawn.
>>23293
Most of the criticism towards Garland is how he had a "bad and boring campaign" despite /v/ loving it.
>>23293
That's literally where all the fucking attacks on him have been about.
>>23292
>>23296
I think it's just the difference in site audience.
Jack went in loved by /v/, did the things /v/ loved him for and won because /v/ already loved all that. Not much tournament specific. But for most people posting in the actual threads that was fine.
/tnt/ is filled with a bunch of specifically autistic anons who really care about tournament specific lore and after last year ended with basically a tourney OC having every star align for their win, having this year's contestants buried under an avalanche of 'CHAOS!' definately caused soreness.
>>23224
might check out some of these games, also yeah like others said making a thread about the bottom 128 defeats the whole purpose. king's elite 8 is kinda boring compared to this line up tbdesu
Thread for the 256 tournament when?
>>23330
That one was just made because the organizer was just butt hurt.
>>23332
Absolutely. Also make one for the mini /v/-tournaments that one guy did at /co/.
>>23330
the guy running it was only doing it to prove the point of 256 being logistically possible, I'm not going into the archives but after he was done he seemed pretty negative on the experience so i doubt it'll happen again.
>>23285
*blink* From my point of view, my beloved Fang had been building her campaign all the way from 2020. I come second, the imp is in third place and then at the fourth place rests Jack "Andrew" Garfield.
>>23339
He was doing it to give Scorn another chance, but Scorn jobbed in Round 1.
He also repeated matches if they ended in a tie, so the highlight of the tourney was Edgeworth having the same fucking match-up against Ridley for 3 rounds in a row.
>>23376
Mr. Bones was really something else. Also, great music.
>we're carrying a skeleton to an icy lake
>carrying so carefully he's never gonna break
>carrying a skeleton to an icy lake
>and his name is Mr Bones
>>23610
impressive, very nice. let's see the runner-ups comparison
>>23610
Is this meant to reflect how you think the boards rate the winners? Fang is too controversial to be so high up, and even at /v/ I remember anons talk about Batter's wins more favorably than either Dante or Garland. Nobody thinks badly of Kronk or Betty either, Monarch is the one who gets the most shit.
Other than that this is mostly pretty accurate.
>>23614
People don't hate Betty, but they don't like her much either. Monarch should be lower than her either way though.
>>23610
What is this based on? Anons on /tnt/ hate Recette.
>>23621
Recette was warmly received at the time, and while there seems to be prevailing sentiment that Madotsuki should have won instead of her, she’s not particularly controversial.
But anyway, I think it’s kind of pointless to make this comparison between how each site perceives the different champions. I would say /tnt/ is actually a very accurate microcosm of the tournament threads: You have a few people seething about Fang just like how people seethed during Ms. /co/; you have anons both defending and making fun of Battler, just like how it went during King /v/; you have people still calling Tom an underwhelming winner; virtually nobody objects to Johnny and Armstrong winning, etc.
>>23642
Batter doesn't have more board representation than Recette or Reimu kek, and I'm a total OFF fanboy.
>>23655
It’s that, that a lot of anons started to reconsider her win in retrospect and probably regret voting for her over Tyr’ahnee. To me Sheila is just "OK", but among the other champions her victory is probably the most forgettable.
>>23614
Batter was mentioned more, but it came off like because he was the most recent one.
Garland in general was way more favored on /v/
>>23687
Batter is going to keep being brought up as a legendary win until the very day these tournaments end.
>>23689
Yes, through I'm not sure how good this is.
Because it only creates false impressions of how theese tournaments go and make every year feel unfullfilling unless you get a freak Battler/Grimm win.
>>23691
It's a blessing and a curse, he had an amazing run and is the most clear cut example for what makes a winner S tier, but we'll also never get a run as hype as that in a long ass time from now as people will try to force one like his.
>>23705
well it was already forced to begin with even before the King started that year
>>23692
>tfw we are still at least a few years away from having the main schizokino trifecta (Batter+Grimm+AM) all in /v/alhalla become a reality
>>23706
Batter's win wasn't forced, he had some hype but there were some very clear cut contenders that year as well. The fact he went so far came off as a surprise for most of us, even if he had a decent seed.
>>23705
>most clear cut example for what makes a winner S tier
By campaigner specific standards. I still regard him as rather mid. Dante and Armstrong are the top kings IMO.
>>23706
garlandfag btw not sure if that matters
>>23709
I like Dante but I feel like Travis deserved to win that year. People only bring him up to shit on Eggman and to a lesser extent Vergil.
>>23709
Armstrong goes above S tier, no one comes even close to him.
>>23709
Armstrong, yes I do agree he's perfect and a classic meme machine to this day, Dante, eh I don't really care for his win honestly.
>>23710
definitely not Garland since he was also hyped up before the King tournament started, a good example of an underdog in these tournaments is Recette who despite getting a low seed won it thanks to a dedicated drawanon and capitalism
>>23655
>>23656
The fact that Monarch was part carried for her show getting cancelled and then actually didn't makes it hurt worse. Just thinking about the possibilites if Tyr'ahnee had wonhurts man.
>Tyr'ahnee would be the first Looney Tunes winner and wouldn't be on a limbo thanks to /aco/,forever getting spitevoted for her win in a tournament no one even asked for
>The Monarch himself would do well with his great campaign without retards bringing on the fact his wife already won a tournament
I mean no offense to the Monarch rper if he is around and is glad that Mrs. Monarch won but still.
>>23829
It's weird to think that Fang was the first full "organic" ms. /co/ since Jenny. But even then some people debate it cause the rigging and Chel swap.
>>23833
Jenny is the only organic Ms. /co/.
>>23837
No, I too consider Fang an organic win.
>>23841
She had to get through through all the spitevoting and then won just barely.
>>23829
>Ms /aco/
I'm curious, who was Tyr'ahnee's opponent last round? Also should we at least acknowledge this on the wiki so it's not for nothing?
>>23841
None of that years E8 were organic. It was a big spite psyop. Also probably some rigging was involved in hindsight. Some people seem to want the worst results as revenge.
>>23850
>acknowledge this on the wiki
I fear Ms. /aco/ 2022 should have happened to establish it as an ongoing tournament that would be hosted for the next years to come. Not to mention Ms. /aco/ also involved plenty of /v/ characters too so it was kind of a crossover tournament between the two boards.
>Who was Tyr'ahnee's opponent last round?
>>23866
>Daisy officially made it further in a tournament than Peach and Rosalina could
>>23873
Bowser, Sonic, and some wolf character would probably just sweep the bracket with little competition.
>>23876
In any case, there should definitely be one. Equality and all that.
>>23838
Literally the opposite of organic because she couldn't have actually lost the finals.
>>23876
that sounds boring on paper but considering all three of those are complete jobbers in other tourneys that'd probably make for a good showing.
>>23881
Just like Ms. /co/ with furries, I think boys like Tails would get spitevoted out early for fear of being too much of a threat.
>>23873
>>23876
>>23889
It can't happen unfortunately. There were anthro characters back then nominated in Ms. /aco/ and they were deleted by the jannies. However, I did my own research on the subject and found something interesting. There was a Ms. /aco/ in 2019. Not only that, but the thread that had the last poll I found (the one for semifinals) is STILL OPEN TO THIS DAY:
https://desuarchive.org/aco/thread/3513466/#q3514829
What happened here? Was the tournament abandoned? I really can't find more past this but the finalists were Maid Bot, Dog-Mom, Leggy Lamb and Zone-Tan. Leggy Lamb being there also contradicts the rule of not allowing anthro characters in /aco/ so why it was only allowed in 2019?
I also found Tourneymaster's last reply before getting Stats'd. He stated doing Ms. /aco/ again in 2022 but it never happened: https://desuarchive.org/aco/thread/5823880/#q5867632
The results for the final round were these:
First place: Tyr'Ahnee (59.1%)
Second Place: Princess Daisy (40.9%)
Third Place: Shantae (46.5%)
Fourth Place: Wendy (53.5%)
>>23922
>I also found Tourneymaster's last reply before getting Stats'd. He stated doing Ms. /aco/ again in 2022 but it never happened
My best acquaintance didn't make it in, so I was ordered by her to take out Tourneymaster and prevent Ms. /aco/ 2022. It just had to be done.
>>23927
I assume it has to do with /trash/ already being a thing made specifically for them, but to be fair doing a tournament there for anthros without the interference of the other generals spamming the catalog is nearly impossible, unless someone wants to do some kind of Mr./King /fur/ here.
>Sonic that're basically human
He is still an anthropomorphic animal.
>>23926
I kek'd
>>23922
>Not only that, but the thread that had the last poll I found (the one for semifinals) is STILL OPEN TO THIS DAY
I'm voting for Cum-powered Maid Bot and Leggy Lamb RIGHT NOW
>Third Place: Shantae (46.5%)
>Fourth Place: Wendy (53.5%)
I don't understand this, I'm guessing he polled which one should get 4th place.
Also, Shantae and Samus are currently the only two to reach elite 8 on different boards (/v/ and /aco/), and Tyr'Ahnee is so far the only contestant who's been a runner-up and a winner
>>23922
>>23928
Oh well we could still have a Mr. /aco/, just without any anthros. It could still work. I can think of many sexy men that aren't covered in fur.
>>23922
>but the finalists were Maid Bot, Dog-Mom, Leggy Lamb and Zone-Tan.
Damn that's some phenomenal taste.
Is anyone going to make a bracket for the bottom 128?
Also OP forgot to post results:
Butler of /v/: https://challonge.com/6gmng6na
Maiden of /v/: https://challonge.com/yv5cqfiq
>>23922
HOLY SHIT I REMEMBER
I was actually active on those threads and from what I remember I don’t think it was related to the main tourneys and it wasn’t that big on the board. Just some niche thing that happened and people were happy to participate and campaign for their mains.
And I believe that Maid Bot won because it was a strong flavor of the month pick at that time, alongside tips from pizza thot.
>>24033
I'd need a source for it I mean Maid Bot winning or at least a thread. I sought everywhere on desu including if there were next image brackets from the one in that thread but there was nothing. I could do some sort of mini-tournament to fix that and do a semifinals and final round for Ms. /co/ 2019 but only if people here want me to do it. AKA not cumnuts.
>>24406
Seeking the wrong guy here buddy.
At that time I didn't really care for any tournament really so I didn't keep track of it and now remembering more clearly I don't know weather or not It was Zone-Tan that won or Maid Bot. My memory is a bit finicky really so don't take my every word as gospel, I remember something but not everything.
There was also a mini-tournament about /aco/'s best shortstack: desuarchive.org/aco/thread/2824816/#2826602
>>24426
>Rouge won Shortstack Queen over Midna
>>24426
That's why I want to step up to do semifinals or finals for this. I've been practicing on forms. However, for that I would require help or assistance from coayynon or samaritanon just to assure I'm not doing it alone.
>>24426
>Rouge officially won a tournament before EggKEK and here is the evidence
Holy kek
>>24820
Great. Wonder if there'll be another /aco/ tournament.
>>24825
>>24829
Me too, it's what I've been trying to do with this win pic. I want to do one for 2019 but I really can't find anything about it. I made a thread, a subtle one asking for information but I haven't been lucky enough. Since it's been up for 12 hours I think the jannies at /aco/ don't care that much about tournament things. That's why I was asking so I can step up to make two polls for semifinals and finals for 2019.
As for Ms. /aco/ this year, I don't know man. I wish Coayynon and Samaritanon could do it but I don't want to put too much weight on their shoulders now that they are doing Co-op and Tag-Team tournaments. Tourneymaster managed to do this alone though. If it were to happen I think Ms. /aco/ should stay as an event that happens every two years, to make up for lacking anything for 2020.
>>24839
I've had interest in doing an /aco/ tournament. Would definitely be willing. Might not be available for the usual date it's on though (between ms. and mr.).
>>24849
That sounds excellent, thank you so much. Yeah, definitely should be done earlier or a month before Ms. /co/. We should also take into consideration doing it once every 2 years so we don't have to do a lot of tournaments each year.
>>24850
Yeah I can definitely plan it for August. Been wanting to try a single-character tournament.
>>24853
Thanks man, doing this means that Tyr'ahnee's win was worth it. We should keep it like doing it every two years though. Also I still want a proper result for 2019 but I believe we can conclude that in the same tournament you host, something like an definitive poll to decide the winner of 2019.
>>24839
Honestly I only know Zone-tan and vaguely recognize Leggy Lamb out of this semi's. Looks like a completely different kind of roster than the 2021 one.
>>24925
>>24853
>>24898
Alright this is what I've gathered in the thread at Ms. /aco/. The winner of 2019 was Zone-tan. Maid Robot was 2nd, Leggy 3rd and DogMom 4th. The main reason there is no trace of the results anywhere is because they finished the final rounds on Discord, apparently because the jannies went berserk on them. I asked for the results for they don't have the archives or anything so the only thing I could ask was who were the winners. I have to figure out the 5-8 places now.
Another thing, they are interested on Ms. /aco/ 2023 but wish there was a way to cover 2020 and 2022, the other years Ms. /aco/ wasn't hosted. They suggested a small tournament for each of them or something since Ms. /aco/ is barely active at all and the threads take days to archive.
>>24973
>>24971
If we don't then that means Tyr'ahnee would be the first Ms. /aco/ winner and the only tournament to cover would be 2022. However, I don't know what the others in the /aco/ thread would think about this. If we proceed with that then we should cover 2022 and 2023 in this year somehow. Anyway, how does it look?
>>24974
i propose we forget about 2019, it wasn't even done in the same format we usually do.
After the /v/ co-op I'll plan a thread for /aco/ tournament discussion (unless someone makes it beforehand). Lay out all the details.
Making up for 2022 seems like an odd situation to me, if that means two tournaments in the same year just a few months apart.
>>25010
Just do it like that, except 2022 should be quicker. Forget about 2019 and 2020, they weren't made in the same format and the nominees were picked by the host.
