There are exceptionally few instances of canon /co/ & /v/ crossovers, as the other guy said it's basically just Kingdom Hearts and maybe a couple fringe cases. Even then I don't see KH winning /cov/ since that series is piss poor in the tournament department, even Sora getting into Smash wasn't enough to bring him back into King /v/

I noticed it too, I get what it's going for with the Marty Party background. But if I were to pick I'd say try a blur or desaturation filter on a famous Wah-themed Mario kart track, like Waluigi Pinball, Waluigi Stadium, or Wario's Gold Mine. Or even the stadium from the Mario Power Tennis intro cutscene.
