Rank the Elite 8 members
For me it's:
>1. RENAgades (I love the team idea and they had decent thread presence all throughout the tournament)
>2. Government Targets (they're cute, inoffensive, have tourney history and seem to have at least a bit of activity)
>3. Couples from Another Universe (great idea for a team, but unfortunately they'd been mostly silent so far)
>4. Goth Chicks (not a fan of Vivzie but they're the better coom team, at least they're trying)
>5. Chaos (they're only so high because they would be a decent representation of this year's tourney, although For Free would be better, also they had 0 campaigning, the Eris poster doesn't even seem to be here)
>6. Spy vs Spy (they get some leeway from me for this being the only tournament they can actually effectively compete in, but still, they kind of need a dedicated drawfag to shine)
>7. Goof Troop (I wouldn't mind them winning I guess but I wouldn't really care either since they're just so milquetoast, also completely silent)
>8. Interdimensional Rulers with Distant Lands (the worse coom team, they're barely even trying, also Tyr already won /aco/ and yes it is relevant to bring up a side tourney in another side tourney)

I think we have maybe 90 real voters, but the total votes each round are about 200 without much dropoff, despite growing overall disappointment. Every round has like double the numbers of Round 1 in any previous Tag Team, which is usually when there is the most voters since that's before any favorites are eliminated.

I'm very indifferent towards this Elite Eight. It's cool to see Spy V Spy made it, but they have been mostly ignored up until last round. It's cool to see Livesey here after hos strong Mr. /co/ campaigning, but he is definitely carrying his team. People are making jokes about Chaos being here because of the Chaos, but they have had nothing going for them, though their opponents kind of were riding on the underdog vote and being silent as well. Goof Troop is iconic enough where I don't mind them getting here. Government Targets and Goths I'm okay with. Obviously Total Drama characters are powerhouses in these tournaments and their posters have been funny. This is probably the best Elite Eight we could have gotten after whatever those round 3 results were. If I were to rank it in terms of Elite Eights, above Tag Team 2021 and Ms. /co/ 2022 for obvious reasons, but about on par with, maybe slightly below Ms. /co/ 2021. The fact we have to lose either Goof Troop or Spy V Spy is going to hurt.

1. Goof Troop. Some small but funny thread presence with both characters being iconic enough to carry their own weight.
>2. Government Targets, Goth Chicks, and RENAgades are for having actual campaigning.
>3. Spy V Spy. They are actually my favorite team here but have had no campaigning.
>4. Couples from Another Universe because Livesy has been carrying hard.
>5. Interdimensional Rulers with Distant Lands. Tyr is a /co/ powerhouse and I like Duck Dodgers. They have a little thread presence but it's all Tyr. She's carrying her partner hard.
>6 and last. Chaos. Legit nothing going for them. Why are they still here?

I imagine for a good chunk of people here the ranking of teams would go like this:
>1. The Plunderers
>2. Adult Swim Duo
>3-128. I don't give a shit

The fact that those two teams losing suddenly made so many anons go from "it's fun" to "it's literally over" indicates that we ended up with a lot of people here who want to relive 2020 and couldn't care less about the vast majority of teams (yet paradoxically still attend the tournament and think it should cater to them). I can relate, since when I go to /v/ tournaments I also usually only care about a handful of nominees. But I don't start freaking out about it in the threads, because I'd rightfully get called out for being entitled and ruining the fun for others.

I don't know how this is a rebuttal to what I said. I never claimed campaigning doesn't work, but it's not the only thing that matters. There is still a vote, which should have real voters that can be swayed by your campaigning, like with Zorak and Recette. Campaigning isn't for saying you posted the most so you should win. It's for swaying voters, and sometimes the voters either don't care or just like the other guy more. It's totally possible the teams that made it this far would have made it anyway, but these win margins are suspect and have only gotten more ludicrous.

I do care about Spy V Spy and Goof Troop. I just kind of wish others teams made it this far instead. Those two didn't really have much hype. Also, I don't think it's just wanting to relive 2020. The characters in the Assholish Adult Swim Duo and The Plunderers had consistent thread presence in every Mr. /co/ and Tag Team since 2020. With /v/, a lot of the characters that got far, the Jacks, Midna, AM, Hornet all had massive thread presence and hype from not only this year, but from being iconic to the board, their memes, and in Hornet's case, her relevancy. The big problem with this Tag Team is you can tell there is just no soul or passion here. Who was honestly going "Oh yeah, Chaos vs. Couple from Another Universe. Kino matchup. Can't wait for our inevitable Couple from Another Universe and Goth Chicks finale." Meanwhile any character matchup from the Elite Eights of all the tourneys this year I could see anons having fun with in a finale. Luigi avenging Mario against Jack Frost would be funny or the Fang vs. Chel matchup that should have happened.

A bit late for that, but during the previous round while looking for fitting pictures I discovered ENA has a whole bunch of giantess art. Not like a lot, but more than I would have expected.

I hope you all doing well, because we are now at the quarter-finals of the Tag Team Tournament! Expect to see all kinds of crazy shit happening here.

At Match 1, you have to be real crazy to go against Shuma-Gorath head-on as Dr Livesey did just that. The doctor grabs one of the monster's tentacles and repeatedly slams him all over the arena while Shuma shoots energy beams at his opponent, but can't seems to get a good aim. Eris is also having trouble to get Amelia as she dodges all of her magical beams and gives the goddess a kick at the face. Is this all over for the most chaotic team in the entire tournament?

At Match 2, Max successfully dodges every traps built by the spies, thanks to his sick dance moves. If that's not annoying enough, they also have to deal with Goofy as he gives them hard kicks to their jaws. The spies have underestimate the father-son duo here, and they are definitely paying the price.

At Match 3, things aren't looking so bright for Queen Tyr'ahnee as she struggles to get Izzy off her back. This crazy woman forcefully makes the Martian queen give her a piggyback ride across the arena while tugging on her long hair with her teeth as she screams in agony. Stick tries to throw her trusty boomerang at Mirage, but it's much more difficult than she could imagine as the sorceress constantly blocks her attacks with her force fields. The match is intense here, but only one team can win this.

At Match 4, Gwen tries to give a good beating to ENA but thanks to her amazing powers, she managed to split into several parts of herself everything she gets hit by the goth girl. ENA then uses her body parts give her opponent one big beatdown over and over again. Loona tries to do the same to Xavier, but this strange man has a few tricks up his sleeves as he literally blows her away with a strong power that seamlessly came from nowhere other than his hands. Will the Goth Chicks rise up here?

Who will be moving up to the semifinals? Be sure to vote for your favorites!
