/tnt/ - Tournaments & Events

This board is for hosting tournaments and other organized competitions, be it either events, contests, or anything where a winner must be determined through votes or otherwise. Just for this board, image duplicates are enabled and the bump limits are set extra high. Roleplaying is encouraged, unless event hosts ask otherwise.

So an idea came up to me. We may not be able to have /a/ tournament but what about /m/? Let's get the possibility of having it for real out of the way right now and let me list all the ideas
>one tourney for pilot and one for mech
>All /m/edia are allowed, whether it be anime, games, cartoon, stories, tabletop etc as long as it's mecha (So yes, Titanfall, 40k, Battletech is allowed)
>Transformers are allowed in mecha side of the tourney.
>Standard 10 replies for a nomination
>Standard elite eight rule (barred entry for a year)
>All Iteration of the character is combined into one (IE Rebuild Asuka and Eva Asuka is the same. Armageddon Ryouma applies for all Ryouma, etc.)
>Not sure if power armor and Toku should be allowed, much less a kaiju.

I'm not sure how strict /m/ jannies are compared to /a/ but if that's possible then I hope so. Though I'm not sure how good the idea is currently, seems it can be improved on with the rules involving kaiju and Toku

Has anyone even asked the /a/ jannies about it? I'm under the impression that these days you need janny permission to start board tournies otherwise they get deleted on sight
