So they just tossed a fuck-load of stuff, not just some small amount of loli content. This is why sites should not get reliant upon advertising--while it can be useful as income, it can start to make demands about the site and use that income as leverage. They should have tried a subscription model long ago, including cutting in the artists, as a means to maintain independence.

I just hope this doesn't drive a lot of my favorite artists off HF; I really don't want to have to follow a hundred tumblrs (not that it will help, as tumblr is reportedly starting to delete porn blogs). One user updated that Pixiv now has full English support; I've avoided them for the most part, so perhaps I'll have to give that a look now.

I have considered that, problem is, tumblr is a private page.
I enjoy posting my work on public sites, where you can see recent pics from various artists.

Either way, I can still maintain a public account in HF and whatnot and link it to a tumblr page like what 99% of the artists are doing.
Still, you kinda miss that feel of being part of a bigger community...

Watewut. As long as it's not a secondary blog, Tumblah blogs are open for everyone to see. And as long as you reblog and follow your fellow artists, Tumblr can become as much of a community as you want it to become.

I like the idea of having sites like paheal, pixiv, hf because those feel like places where you can share your work as a community.
People have access to everything. Most of my favorite artists are from those places.

Tumblr doesn't allow loli/shota, and deletes porn tumblrs randomly.

WWOEC has idiotic rules requiring all pics to be hardcore. Site owner goes around deleting pics which he thinks are not pornographic enough. It's not an artist community, just a forum that runs into money trouble every few months.

The pussies running Paheal change their minds about loli/shota every other week. It's not a site for artists, but a booru running on shitty code for people to repost everything they find from Pixiv. They do not give a shit about artists, and say the site is for the lolz.

The most flexible choice is Pixiv, because they give you absolute freedom in subject matter. But they're in Japan, so you need to obscure the naughty parts a little bit. A lot of people are whiny little bitches about that, but I think it's a fair trade-off for the freedom to draw anything.

Pixiv doesn't monitor posts unless someone reports them. Most browsers don't care enough about the foreign artists to do that.

The problem isn't the government going after the artists. It's illegal to even host those images, and Pixiv's business and servers are located in Tokyo. Why try to sneak around the rules so much? Just be glad they've made the site friendlier to foreign artists and follow the rules for their sake instead of looking like selfish snowflakes. The last thing we would want is for Pixiv to geo-block all R18 pics.

Yeah, admittedly not my best work. It was actually Macavity (a friend of mine) who requested them from me, too. He seemed to like them when I showed him the sketch, so I stuck with them. If I ever get around to drawing them again, I'm sure they'll look a lot better.

As I said, the bodies look nice, you just need to tweak the facial expressions. The way you draw the fur partially covering the nipples is weird but it's unique, that's for sure.

Yeah, Macavity loves obscure anthro characters as much as I do, and I think we have first R34 for quite a few of them thanks to him commissioning them from artists. :)
