Some places may be cold and snowing, but some places are suffering from summer, eating an ice cream will do nicely, just like Eye here licking his ice cream to dissipate the heat. Eat ice cream with him Friend.

>>311312 And expanding with the promissed Tessa >Be Tessa (young) >The gala was great >To see all your friends, old and new dance >Oh it was quite something >You get giddy just thinking about it >You stayed well past your bed time >Hah, you don’t have bed time any more! >You are the lady of this manor! >But you should go to bed >J said you have to attend another meaning with shareholders tomorrow >And you already have another expedition to the dump planned >Oh it’s gonna be so much fun! >You already have a route planed! >And so many of your new friends agreed to help you >You already turned many of the manors rooms into drone repair workshops >J was reluctant to let you order so many tools at first but she caved after you read that “Management for Dummies” book and aced the test she preadapted for you >The next day comes >The meeting went well? >J was sitting next to you, telling you out whenever you what to say >They want to do something called “Reclamation Protocol” on the planet that exploded >Apparently the drones there survived >You don’t like the fact that they will be hurt >But J said there is nothing you can do about that >This sucks! >You hope those drones manage to survive… somehow >You agreed to the reclamation and the meeting ended soon after >The old crooks talked about windex or something >Last time you checked this company made drones not window cleaner >Whatever >Your group of brave drone expeditionists is ready for an adventure to the dump >N and V are among them >J can’t go, she has paperwork to do >You split your drones into three groups >One lead by N >One by V >And one by you of course >You return home with many wheelbarrows of broken drones >You can’t wait to fix them up! >Some time passes >Aunt Martha is visiting today >You ask your friends to clean the place up >You don’t mind the oil spills on the floor that much… but aunt Martha wouldn’t want you living in filth >Once she arrives she’s a bit… overwhelmed by the greeting you and your drones give her >Your drones form a circle around her car in the front courtyard >They take it up fully, and still some fifty drones wait in the entryway to the manor “Tessa! I… See you’ve been busy” >One of the butlers helps her out of the car >All of your drones give her a bow >You run up to give her a hug >You grab aunt Martha by the hand and lead her inside >You want to show her what you did with the place >She stayed over the weekend >You were sad when she left on monday >You gave her a sendoff as grand as the greeting >While she was here she informed you that she hired tutors for you >You protested at first >But you gave in eventually >She said that education is important >And J agreed, citing that a CEO should know a lot about many topics >Plus it’s only going to be during weekends and there will be no etiquette lessons like when mom hired tutors >More times passes >The lessons are a bit boring >And the teachers are annoying >You pay enough attention to keep J and aunt Martha happy with your education >Except for the times when the man teaching you engineering comes >You always give him a warm welcome >And his lessons are a pleasure >You ask him many, many questions >More time passes >You grow older >Aunt Martha visits you many times >You notice she gets a bit less comfortable each time she visits >Eventually she starts to invite you to her place instead >You agree, you take some of your drones with you as an entourage each time >She looks a bit disappointed each time you arrive >The company has begun the reclamation >They send a different kind of drone to do it >They are bigger, they have guns and tails with tasers >They wear padded riot clothing >You… hope it will at least be quick >More time passes >The tutors have nothing more to teach you >You get all sorts of graduation papers from them >You display the one you got from the engineering tutor and hide the rest in a drawer >The dump has grown slimmer >The vast mountains on drones have turned into ditches with an occasional broken chassis >You run out of space in the manor a lot time ago >J came up with an idea >You ordered a lot of building supplies >There is a lot of free space around the manor >Your dad used it as a golf course >Stupid boring sport >Your family begun building houses for themselves there >There are already a few drone neighbourhoods around >You visit them from time to time >The reclamation project isn’t going well >The workers are dug in
>>311327 >You are partially relived but you hope they aren’t just prolonging the inevitable >The disassemblers need an upgrade >You chip in with the designs a bit >The shareholders love it and the company engineers are… alright people, except Henry… he’s a creep but you can’t fire him… he’s important to too many projects >More time passes >It’s your twentieth birthday today >So much has changed >Your family has completed the construction project around the manor >There is now a small town surrounding it >So many drones live there… >You can hardly keep track of all of them >But you care about them >And you want them to know >So you asked them to put up speakers on every building so you can tell them >You do so each morning, midday and evening >And today will be no different >You get out of bed and tap the microphone “Hello everyone! This is your friend Tessa! Here to remind you that I care about you all! Hope you have a pleasant day” >You love this >Oh but you feel a bit sad >There are still so many empty buildings around >And the ditch run out of drones last year >You even started excavations but the older models only lasted two months >And then you reached rock >You want more drones…. But J said that getting new ones would be too costly… >Nothing you can do about that >You get dressed and leave your room >Your family prepared a party for you >Aunt Martha won’t be able to come this year >A shame… but one of your cousins got into an accident in one the firearm factories he runs, and ended up in the hospital >He needs her more than you right now >She send you a gift with instructions to not open it until today so it’s been siting in the ballroom you’re going to use for the party >You try to help with the preparations but everyone shoos you away >Even N told you that you shouldn’t ruin the surprise >You settle for watching cartoons with Cyn instead >And there’s a special little someone with her >Cyn holds the pillbaby in her hands in such a way that her screen is facing the TV >“How are you two gals doing?” >Cyn beams you warm smile “[Happy, surprised tone] Tessa. We’ve been having fun” >Hope makes a happy baby noise >”That’s great” >You sit down next to her >“You mind if I spend some time with you? Everyone told me to go away” “[Caring tone] Don’t worry. The surprise will be worth it” >”Yeah everyone told me about a surprise… can you tell me what it is?” “Don’t be silly. Tessa. It wouldn’t be surprise if I told you” >”Please?” “No” >”Please?” ”No” >”Please?” ”[Serious] No” >”PLEASE?” “[Very Serious] No. Final answer” >”Ok… can I at least hold Hope?” >Cyn smiles and hands you the pillbaby “[Agreed] My beloved niece. Tessa will hold you now” >You hold Hope up to your face and look into those two white ovals >”Aren’t you cute! I could just eat you up!” “[Concern] Tessa. Eating a robot would kill you. And please don’t eat my niece” >You chuckle and hold Hope close to your chest in such a way that she can see the TV >Oh you remember the day when N and V told you they wanted to have a kid >J said it was a waste of resources and time >She changed her mind the second she saw her >Who wouldn’t? >You spend some time watching the TV >Eventually Cyn begins to poke you in the face “Tessa. Tessa. Tessa. Tessa” >”What? What? I didn’t fall asleep!” “You were about to. The party is ready. Your presence is demanded” >”Oh really?” >You get up and start going to the ballroom >You hold Hope in one hand and help Cyn who’s leaning on you for support >You open the door to the ballroom >Why is it dark in here? >You enter inside >Cyn closes the door behind you >You are in total darkness >You can only see the two yellow ovals of her screen and the white ones of Hope >Cyn takes a step forward
>>311328 >Suddenly the light turns on “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TESSA!” >Confetti begins to fly in the air >Everybody turns their screen lights on >”Aww you guys…” >V comes over to take Hope of your hands and N gives you a part hat >You put it on, J comes over to you with the cake >It’s small, no need for it to be big, you’re the only one who can eat it >They begin to sing you happy birthday >You blow out the candles once they finish singing >The party continues and everyone starts giving you gifts >A lot of letters from the drones living around the manor >It will take a lot of time to read them all >But you will read them >It’s a shame only so many of them can attend the party in person >V gave you a sweater she knitted herself >You put it on and hug her >Next up is N and Cyn >They gave you an album of all the drawings the manor drones made over the years >You tear up as you flip through it >You hug them both >You decide to open the gift from aunt Martha next >It’s a painting of you and her >She painted it herself… you saw her working on it once when you were visiting >You’ll put it up somewhere where you go often >You get a few more smaller and bigger gifts >They are all equal to you >Then it’s J’s turn >She gives you a piece of cloth and tells you to tie your eyes >This must be the surprise everyone was talking about >You cover your eyes >J grabs you by the hand and starts leading you somewhere >You feel the air change… >You’re outside >You’ve been walking for a while >What’s this noise? >Like an engine or something… “You can take it off boss” >You untie the piece of cloth >You are standing in a field near the manor >In front of you is something that looks like a makeshift landing pad in the grass >And you see what’s making all this noise >A low orbit cargo carrier >It flies a bit closer, drops the containers it’s carrying on the landing pad and flies off “Surprise! Why don’t you go open it?” >Stumped you walk up to one of the containers and open it >Inside are drone chassis and cores, neatly segregated >”Thank you J!” >It seems your family will grow more after all “That’s not all boss! There will be a shipment like that at least once a month from now on” >You look at her, surprised >”Didn’t you say getting new drones was to expensive?” “These aren’t new, they are from reclamation projects, there is a huge backlog of unrepaired drones, they would have rotted in a magazine somewhere anyway so might as well reroute them here” >There were more incidents… not as big as the one on Copper-9 >Most drone rebellions and the like got quelled within days >You take a closer look at the chassis >Bullet holes and slashes across the torso >Signs of nanite acid burn >These guys are in rough shape >You’ll get them back on their feet >The week passes >Man the DD’s really did a number on them >You barely got the first batch of your new arrivals working >But something is wrong with them >They don’t remember anything >No name, what they did before, they look with amassment at the smallest of things >You ask J >She looks extremely worried when she explains things to you, almost ashamed >Government regulations, they have to be wiped before being taken off world >You are furious >Not at J, but… you did yell at her >Just wipe them? >Like that? >Kill so many drones because of.. some stupid law >Ugh… >There is nothing you can do about that now can you? >It’s to late you can’t undo what has been done >You should take care of them >You help the new drones move into some of the empty housing >You ask some of the drones to teach them about stuff, anything really, they don’t even know how to tie their shoes >You visit them almost daily to make sure they are ok >You start today’s visits with Marcus >You named him, just like all the others >No armband on any of them so you had to reach for a book of baby names from the library >You would have preferred them to name themselves… but none of them knew any names >He runs at you with a hug the moment you open the door “Mother! I was so afraid” >M-mother? >You kneel down and hug him >You begin to caress his head and he explains he had a bad dream >You assure him it wasn’t real and nothing will harm him here >He cheers up after that >You leave his house once the drones from the support group arrive >Next is Lucy “Mom! Good to see you!” >A-again? >You chat with her a bit before moving on >Next up is Pauline “Mother, look! I drew something for you!” >She hands you a piece of paper with a drawing of a human holding hands with a drone >It’s labelled “Me & Mom” >You take the piece of paper with you >You hug with her for a bit before moving on
>>311329 >There are still thirteen drones you need to visit “Mother” “Mom” “Mum” “Mother” “Mom” >… >You are back at the manor >Today was… unusually draining >You put a lot of drawings on your fridge today >You are sitting in the dining room closest your your room >You are looking at the painting from aunt Martha >She called you a few days ago from the intensive care unit >Cousin Saxton Junior got better >Enough for him to get on the phone with her and wish you happy birthday as well >There’s nothing keeping him down >You think about today >They are lost >And they look to you for guidance… >They are your family… >So in that aspect… >You are their mother… >There is some of their old self in there right? >There has to be… >Yes, yes there must be >… >The clock strikes 8pm >It’s time for your evening broadcast >You wrestle with your thoughts for second >You start to speak into the microphone >”Hello my dear children, this is your mother, Tessa, here to tell you that I love you all very much and to wish you all good night” >You will not leave your children alone >You will care for them >And they will love you >More time passes >Years >You had to get one of those rejuvenation treatments your mother was constantly getting >You spend a weak in some weird hospital attended by medbots >They weren’t cute at all! >And they didn’t even install personality matrixes on them! >How are you meant to be comfortable when your nurse doesn’t want to be pat on the head? >But at least your neck no longer hurts when you turn your head too much >Your family grows >So many new children >You lost track of all of them so long ago… >But you still love them >And they love you >But you are being torn away from them >Copper-9 is still not reclaimed >The investors called for “Boots on the ground leadership” >There is a new generation of DD’s >You worked hard on these models and so did everyone else >The sensor suite is state of the art >Those motors could lift a ton >And cousin Saxton was nice enough to sell you guns at half price >This should be over quickly…
>Be Tessa (Present day) >Day 688 of your presence on Copper-9 >You need to buy some time >The Shareholders are breathing down your neck >The experimental upgrades J ordered will arrive next week >You need to do something flashy >To that end you called up one of your favourite non drone employees >Anon? Aron? Adam? >Something like that >Important thing is, he has the demolition specialist in his squad >You called him up to see if she was free >And she was >You set up a camera in front of one of the bunkers the workers are hiding in >D begins to set up explosives on the main door >In the mean time you talk with J >“So, election season is over, how did things go?” “Quite ok boss, our lobbying got us a few more representative in the senate” >”Good, you think we can start making moves?” “Maybe… but we needed a strong platform for the shareholders to agree, so the first few bills will be about allowing us to cut down xenoflora rainforests” >”Fine by me, we need the space for drone factories anyway… but make sure the loggers take samples first, I know a certain someone that likes new plants in his garden” “Sure thing” >SD-D has finished her work “Hey! Bosslady Tessa! She’s ready tae blow!” >You give her a thumbs up and wait for her to move away >You grab the detonator from your pocket and gesture to V to start filming >The red light starts flashing on the camera >“Dear investors of JcJenson in Space! This is the CEO, Tessa Eliott speaking! I simply want to inform you that reclamation of Copper-9 is progressing smoothly” >V shifts the camera so that it films the door >You press the button on the detonator >The doors are blasted into smitheries >V films as N runs inside the blasted airlock and drags out some unfortunate worker drone >V cuts once the worker is dissembled >”Alright you lot! Great work! We can go relax for today” >D comes up to you with a questioning look “We’re no tryin tae breach the bunker?” >”Nah, the last door is way too though, I just wanted something flashy to get the investors off my back” >You begin to pet D’s head >“Oh when was the last time we talked you pretty little thing?” “Aye it’s been a while, but I’m in ‘non’s squad now remember” >”Yes… you just… reminded me of someone for a second, you can go back to your technician and say thank you to him from me” “Aboot thon, he hasn’t pickit up his communicator i a while an his tracker went cauld” >”Weird, when did you last saw him?” “Well today… J come ower tae check on him before A flew away” >J looks at her surprised “What? I spent the whole day with Tessa! Aron’s next performance review is in a month!” “Then wha wis thon?”

>>311341 I'm already my president's bitch, and I'm genuinely surprised he hasn't started restricting the internet yet, like they do in other countries.
I'm genuinely scared of what's happening to the internet. I'm afraid it might get out of hand and cease to be international.
>>311319 >You couldn't bear to leave the depressed drone out on the freezing streets >She seemed slightly relieved, but for a moment, and fell back to her sullen gaze on the way back home >Plenty of time has passed since both of you had crossed your home's threshold, and the drone had excused herself to your bathroom >With curiousity and anxiety beginning to swirl in your mind, you rush over to the bathroom and fling the door open >"At least she didn't lock i-" >Your eyeballs are immediately locked on the farcical scene laid out before you >Half of the drone's head is hidden in the jaws of the toilet bowl and both of her hands are (futilely) gripping the rim of the seat, fighting for freedom >"Bspsssrrrrrrrpppgulgluglu" rings out from the bowl, you have no idea of the origin of this language >"Oh what the hell" you mutter under your breath and snatch a slightly oversized plunger >You spit in both of your hands, rub them together, and plant the sucker on the drone's head >After several pulls she breaks free from her assailant and gasps for breath >You kneel down and extend your hand to the drone >She looks at you for a split second, slaps the hand away and stands up, her expression ready to flatten a mountain >Right before leaving the room, she holds one hand up and begins to speak >"If I hear ANYONE finding out about this..." >The drone swiftly turns around to deliver the second part of her speech >*BAM* >Except she forgot the plunger was still stuck on her head and it hit the doorframe, completely throwing off her balance >"This is gonna be a long night" you say to yourself, imagining yellow stars flying around the limp drone's head
>I reclined in the dim confines of my P̶r̶i̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶N̶e̶s̶t̶ home a cramped. >It wasn't much, just a pile of my fellow recycled drone parts who weren't lucky woven into a some kind of Hut like structure. For months now, the relentless grind of agriculture had eased. No more endless shifts under the hot bright sun, no more worries if your batteries would suddenly die. >Even the hounds had dialed back their aggression, patrolling the ridges with less snarling urgency. Still their glares is terrifying. Still it was suspicious. >"Why everything else felt slow?"
>I powered down my worries and reached for my prized possession: A book containing facts and data slate salvaged from some long-forgotten era. >We only known servitude to our masters but I wonder. >Earth, Our planet of origin of ruins and radiation, where humans, drone or all organic forms were born. >Why abandoned it to reach beyond the stars? But I guess I'm no different since i want to escape my planet of origin as well. I scrolled idly through entries on extinct species, my optic sensors absorbing details of creatures that once roamed supreme: Dinosaurs...
>A faint noise interrupted my reading. It was subtle at first, like the rustle of loose soil in the vents, but it grew insistent, scratching and somewhere near the base of my nest. With curiosity in my optics, I put my book aside, I sneak toward the sound, my limbs moving with the quiet precision to not alarm the intruder or myself. >The noise led my to a shadowy corner, where a small a tiny creature no bigger than my palm, with a segmented body and twitching appendages that gleamed under my visor light.
>Intrigued, I lunged forward, my quick reflexes honed from years of catching pests in the fields. I snatched an empty cup from my shelf and inverted it over the intruder, trapping it beneath the transparent glass. The thing skittered against the glass walls, its kept moving in frantic motion, but it couldn't escape. I tilted my head, scanning it closely. >"What was this?" It didn't match any of the standard vermin profiles in my database. This looked... organic. Alien, even. My processors whirred as I cross-referenced it with my Earth entries. >Could it be one of those? A survivor from the old world, somehow sneaking in a human rocket witout notice? >As I pondered, lifting the cup slightly to get a better visual, a knock echoed through my door. >"Who could that be?"
>>311364 >They knocked again, louder this time. I set the cup down carefully on a shelf just out of sight. I scanned for threats, heat signatures but detected only a single drone signature on the other side. Familiar, yet distant, with a cautious whir of my hands, I opened the door.>Standing there was a fellow worker drone designated SC-5511. He was the first Soil Cultivator I'd encountered upon my activation, back when I was fresh off the assembly line. >But we hadn't crossed paths much since.
>"SC-8993, right?" he said. >"Apologies for the intrusion during off-hours. The paths out here are a mess and those hounds sniffing around every corner. Didn't mean to drag the dirt to your doorstep."I tilted my head, optics narrowing slightly with suspicion. Drones don't just visit nests unannounced; social privileges were for humans only, not us. Still, he didn't seem hostile. >"It's... fine," I replied, stepping aside to let him in. >"What brings you here, SC-5511?"I resealed the door behind him as he entered, glancing briefly at the hidden cup. the creature inside still skittering faintly, but muffled now. No need to mention that yet. >Let it stay my little secret for the moment."Figured it was time for a proper introduction," he said, settling onto a makeshift perch of stacked crates I'd scavenged. "Or reintroduction, I suppose. >You've been operational a while now, but I've outlasted most in this line.
>The longest surviving Soil Cultivator on record, at least if my logs are accurate. >You know dust and dirt entered devices and get all loko. But we could... talk. >Share some of our lifecycles stories or something."As he scanned the nest, his optics landed on my book I'd left open. its page still open with an entry on those massive reptilian called dinosaurs.
>"Ah, you've got one of those Earth lore book thing." he noted, a hint of what might pass for enthusiasm in his tone. "We got some remnants from there. Strawberries weren't always our job; back on the origin world, they grew wild, untamed. Humans bred them for sweetness, cross-pollinated strains across continents but now across galaxies. Fascinating, isn't it? The way life adapts, survives against the odds. >What draws you to it? the book, I mean?"I hesitated, then powered closer.
>"I just like reading. Books are like windows to other worlds from our harsh realities. I just can't..." I stopped and changed the subject quickly, >"What about you? You've survived longer; seen more. Anything like to share. >"He leaned forward with excitement. "I got plenty of knowledge. Plants, wars, Parasites, symbionts, predators and more..."
>He thinks for a while: "Do you know about Blood tooth Fungus?" He said as he pointed at some fungus."That's the weirdest strawberry I've seen."" >Cuz it isn't a fruit. It's a mushroom." >"Really... Tell me more." I glares at him with childish excitement and curiosity. >I was invested to learn more about this strange nature beauty.
>"When it's growing it's oozing with this beautiful blood driplet that might be mistaken for a strawberry syrup. Despite it's tasty appearance it is quite bitter and inedible but not poisonous..." >"So like soap?" >"I guess?" >We shared laughter, knowledge and grown to enjoy his Company.
>"So are you preparing for the upcoming trials?" >"Huh." >"Every harvest month. The humans make us go against obstacles. Gotta keep things entertaining. I gotta go prepare myself. See around pinky." >As he left i started panicking and breathing heavily. How could I a simple farm girl from oblivion survive the first trial, I didn't know about them in the first. To make matter worse. >There was a loud shattering noise. The creature has escaped.
>"NO NO NO MY DISCOVERY. WHAT DO I DO." >She's now sitting alone feeling defeated. Her final thought before sleep mode. >"What’s the point? If I somehow don't miraculously die in the trials. Either the hounds or my batteries would... >Maybe i could ask someone to train me tomorrow. " >Something has crawled into her hair.
>>311365 >My processors refuse to shut down into full sleep mode. So this is what it feels to be an insomniac. My worries were eating me from the inside out. >The trials echoed in my circuits pulling me back every time I tried to power off.
>SC-5511 had dropped it so casually, like it was just another day in this hell. >I guess he’d gotten used to this place, he has been here longer, after all. >I heard whispers in the fields, drones vanishing after those "entertainments" for the humans. I didn't put much thought into it because why would I?
>We are expendable. We dropped dead everyday. >"SC-8993" apparently I'm the third reincarnated drone in the 8990 family.>But What if I didn't make it this time? What if my batteries finally gave out mid-obstacle, or worse, the hounds decided I'm their next meal?
>And then there was the creature. My little secret, escaped into the shadows of my home. I'd searched every corner after it escaped, my optics scanning for any sign of it’s twitching appendages, but nothing.>My one discovery, my tiny piece of something from beyond this endless grind is lost. It stung more than it should have.
>Why did it matter so much to me? It was just a bug, but in my database, it felt like having a pet a friend. Even though friends aren’t supposed to capture each other.
>A faint itch at the base of my hair. I reached up absentmindedly, scratching at it with a finger. Probably nothing maybe just some dirt from the fields. >Yeah, nothing to worry about. I forced my focus elsewhere, powering up my optics to stare at the ceiling to clear my mind.
>Look like sleep mode wasn't an option anymore, so I might as well prepare. Knowledge was my only weapon, right? >I reached for the AGRO-C history book on my shelf. I scrolled through the entries, searching for anything on those trials.
>But as I turned the page, something else caught my optics. Not the trials, but a header in bold, strange font: "The Founders." >I paused, optics widening. I had never heard of it. The text started simple origins of AGRO-C, the first humans colonizing for planetary cultivation but the names, dates, fragments of logs didn't match what I know as the standard history. Who were they? Why did this page feel... forbidden?
>I leaned closer, tracing the words with a finger with a mix of curiosity and dread. >The itch in my hair intensified, turning into a sharp, crawling sensation.

Peoples dopamine receptors are completely burned out and all they want is 24/7 nonstop stimulation, ideally more extreme than the previous round of stimulation if at all possible. It's just a less extreme form of heroin addiction.
>>311450 What did you expect from those faggots? The nonstop hornyposting from Pavo flooded the thread and completely derailed the character. Now Mylo’s being shoved into the role of the next “thread sexyman” stripped down to just a clown fetish bait instead of being treated like an actual character or the genderbent version of Molly.
>>311450 >pavo's weird greens :( But you're right, it is laid on a little thick. We've got a bit TOO much "this character fucks human men" posting going on, feels like I'm in a monster girl thread some days. There's a few OCs who have been flanderized into sexbots as of late.
What is the conceptual degree of relation Alice and V have, since they are both developments of Di (but different focuses and different aspects of visuals (Alice), role (V) and personality (both some)) are V and Alice not technically sisters? In a way?
>>311450 I've said it before, but there's just generally an excess of hornyposting lately. being horny for the drones is a fundamental part of /md/, but the balance of gooning to actual discussion and content has been way off for a while now.
>>311477 I love the kind that leads to and/or creates some really well made or just really fun greens. The only ones I read and love (with a few exceptions) and what Im specifically talking about are the ones that use canon MD characters and put them in either in MD universe locations or in real life with JCJenson sometimes added in there, basically what I mean is it's in mundane and realistic situations. Examples off the top of my head is that one Alice x Anon Christmas green for example, will probably give that one a read again since Christmas is around the corner kek.

>>311452 >>311453 >>311477 to be fair mylo doesn’t have all that much proper writing. I figure I ought to do that at some point since there’s so little material for his character (this applies to mime too). honestly I haven’t done much murder drones stuff since I got super stupidly autistic about a dumb little baby game a while back and that’s been taking up all my brainspace lawl
Hot take: I feel Liam's decision to rush through the core plot beats instead of doing multiple seasons is responsible for a lot of the plot holes (How did Doll find out about Cabin Fever? If she found out from things Yeva left behind, why didn't Yeva say anything to anyone? Why didn't Nori let her family know she was still alive but leaving to search for a McGuffin? Why did the DDs never go in through the exposed windows Outpost 3 is established to have? Why is the Absolute Solver using deception to sneak into Cabin Fever instead of [null]ing its way in on its own? Why does it need a list of patched subjects when it's just going to eat the planet and kill any patched subjects in the process? etc.)
>>311481 Have you considered going dual boot? Tux for general purposes and BSODws for the things the penguin can't handle. My current pc is not upgrade friendly, so that's currently out of question plus I'm a lazy fuck. Pic unrelated.
>>311480 That's a lie that purplelighted drones with a bunch of big SHORTcomings of her own wants you to believe But even if it wasn't, Alice would be capable of creating life worth living enough that one can't die from bs and miss out on it, couldn't be me dying from food
>>311482 Good points but imo Liam's severe detailling makes almost every plothole explainable; Doll must have found out about cabin fever from Yeva's ID which she kept, having the name to got with made it likely easy since even if Yeva kept no documents, the outpost has old newspapers, Xabin Fever could have been found via that too. It's not really satisfying tho. >Why didn't Yeva say anything? Trauma or so, her being overtly disturbed while Nori gropes in the same pic at the same time after the same experience suggests that she didn't want to bring anything up either due to repressing it or fears that awareness could cause issues for Doll >Windows That's a massive fuckup but I guess it could be rationalized that this was some stage or setpiece lizzy had, can't continue urgently I will give you more later
>>311489 I already wiped Windows off my drive. Tried a few things and it's still preventing me from posting. It's so weird because I was having no trouble posting on my Arch install but that's been wiped too (it was old and very messy which is why i switched distro in the first place). >>311496 Yeah lol it's running on real hardware so idk why the site thinks im in a VM. I've posted just fine here before >>311497 Firefox. I also have a laptop with an older install of Mint on it and I never had a problem posting from it. Idk maybe I should try switching browser and see if something happens
And I realized: the main villain is Tessa. She's crazy, in the truest sense of the word, and while that's not surprising (given her childhood), it doesn't change the fact that she's not quite right in the head and she's self-centered.
I hope to see how Aron is doing. After all, being captured by a psychotic gremlin, a psycho, and a yandere in the body of a genocid machine, and then getting beaten up, isn't exactly good. If I were him, I'd hate the drones with all my heart and want to destroy them all.
>>311506 >I'd hate the drones with all my heart Tessa hand picked Aron and all other technicians herself. They all have... a certain distinct quality that she considered crucial, Aron's "quality" will be put to the test

>The retrogravity shuttle slid through frigid spray-damp air and over rolling breakers of wind-tossed black water, its sleek chromium hull shedding flashing mirage reflections >It’s single passenger, long since bored of watching streams of cold mist spiral over the shuttles wing, pressed her pointed nose against the cool transparent metal blister in sudden fascination >A kilometer below and ten kilometers off the port wing loomed the mountainous bulk of a climate-regulating atmosphere generator, its white polymetal shell thrust up from the turbulent ocean, the weather-stained industrial dome surrounded by twelve numbered stacks belching forth towers of steam, an artificial fusion volcano >Bellow each hundred-foot-tall number was a crest, a human figure, stern in countenance and pointing to the future with a bare sword >The shuttle banked, spirals of water vapor gathering and spilling from the flared tip of the port wing, replacing the thundering ocean view with an up thrusting volcanic cliff, it's black face verdant with cold-tolerant lichens and other archaic terraforming plants the young passenger had only seen in historical documents >The shuttle slowed and spiraled down toward a spur of rock jutting from the cliff face >A mansion perched at the very tip of that projection, the only indication of residence being lit windows on the fourth story, the only visible concession to modernity a private shuttle pad precariously anchored to the rock face >The pad was bustling with activity, the passenger craned her head down to see out of the blister window, it was strange...they were all too short to be people, all wearing matching uniforms >She lost sight of them as the shuttle rotated its antigrav pods to vertical and the cabin settled with an almost inaudible hiss of suspension absorbing its weight >She was already unbuckling herself as the intercom tone sounded "Miss Eliza, we've arrived at your grandfather’s estate. Will you be needing any assistance debarking?" >The exit ramp lowered soundlessly, and peering out she saw a team of curious diminutive robots already removing luggage from the cargo hatch, she had never seen humanoid robots like these up close before, her father scorned them in favor of human servants >"No...Grandfather's help is handling it." She put on the flouncing teenager act, knowing that the more Father believed she hated this punishment the longer she might be out from under his hand >"Fly on back home and report that Father's disappointment has been safely quarantined!" >Without another word she descended the boarding ramp, throwing up one slender hand to ward off the slicing salt air blasting in off the violently rolling black ocean >The air was substantially colder here on the coast than young Eliza was used to, a strange combination of plant aromas and the bleachy tang of newly processed atmosphere hung heavy in it >She turned her attention to the diminutive robots who had just finished unloading her luggage from the shuttle, each one done up in a custom fitted little suit and generic little hard hats, both done in the charcoal black and metallic storm blue that she recognized from her own father’s human servants >After a few moments of hesitation both hatches withdrew silently and sealed with faint pops of closing seals, she was alone on the pad in the blustering wind >With a deep nerve-tingling hum the shuttles countergravity drive spooled on and it lifted from the pad, rapidly gaining altitude until it was far enough overhead to safely rotate its jet pods and slide off towards the horizon in a rapidly fading hiss punctuated by a faint sonic boom >One of the drones approached her, made a courteous little bow and extended one buffed and glossy white polymetallic hand >"Greetings Young Mistress, and welcome First Landing Estate! Your Grandfather instructed me to assist you in debarking from your shuttle, and should you desire it, take you on a tour of the grounds in preparation for your stay." >She allowed disappointment to color her expression >"Does Grandfather not consider me worth his time?" >The drone butler performed a surprisingly human approximation of a chagrined expression, shuffling awkwardly as he answered >"Well...he had intended to meet you here on the pad...however he can become...ah...occupied with his personal projects"

>“In hindsight, instead of private tutoring, I probably should have sent you to a regular school so that you got to interact with kids your own age.”
>>311506 Yeah, Tessa is pretty cray cray. It is kind of disturbing to see her downward spiral/self-isolation throughout the most recent story >>311327. The most telling was probably that Martha became increasingly uncomfortable with the entire situation as she started visiting Tessa less and less. Considering the state most of Tessa’s rescues were in the way she uses them as a substitute for love/validation is kind of pathetic, but that is probably the whole point. Then again, I probably shouldn’t be throwing stones from a glass house as I made my own “Tessa grows up extremely maladjusted because of her abusive childhood” stories. Which one do you think is more messed up?
I think they're both equally awful, in the sense that I wouldn't want to be around either one, and the fact that they feel so alive shows how well-written they are.
>>311574 I would have put a really big negative spin on this event's overall impact on drone perception, as it's too profound to forget, but I'm not a writer and I don't edit, and the work is already excellent, so keep going.
Just imagine Emily's feelings when she realizes WHAT happened then.
Who the fuck thought adding a sentinel drone to the Liquidator survival horror game as a DLC was a good idea? If you buy it you're paying to make the game worse All the drone does is run ahead of you killing anything that moves and then comes back to pick you up and take you from objective to objective Fucking casuals bitched and moaned about the game being too hard so the devs overcorrected to appeal to those cucks

>>311591 >I wonder how GPU affected that When people try to flood the boards, they do it by simultaneously running several VM instances all configured with different VPNs, or wireshark through unsecure PCs or something else like that. Virtual machines like that don't have anything but a basic display drivers most of the time, some outright state they use a VMware GPU. Hence the block.
It's a pretty simple trick, and it only really blocks people for a few minutes because someone who wants to get in will keep rotating his browser info until they get in (even the other anon just now made several attempts, eventually trying to spoof posting from Windows). But a few minutes is enough to block 99% of the CP spam. Without such measures the boards would look like the catalog at kemono's partychan right now, except, you know, with images.
>>311623 I'm still reading solver war greentext lore to catch up. But my sentinel oc version concept is their opposite who doesn't care about humans only reluctant and pragmatic to win the war first.

>Ivory Incredible firepower coupled with incredible physical strength will ensure safety against many enemies regardless of their size, but there is a problem here too: my pelvis is not made of titanium to be with her 24/7.
>Harper A clear victory. Strength, experience, loyalty, mutual feelings. She will protect me from the apocalypse, and in return I will give her the most I can do for her, both emotionally and physically.
>Avre She's about as strong as your average sentinel drone, except her combat experience makes her an extremely good soldier, but the need to feed her blood and affection to maintain mental stability could kill me faster than Cyn. At least I'll die happy.
>Samson Might be a great option: the power of Ivory without that same problem.
>Huntress In addition to her, I also get a Hound, and two sentinel drones are two sentinel drones.

>>311633 We theorized that it's because whoever operates this is paying people to keep posting more, like some sort of computer sweatshop. If they can get just one guy to pay for their content, they can make back the investment easily or possibly even blackmail people or infect their machines. So all in all, it's a business.

I hate to bring this here since it happened on co but I feel this is necessary as a preemptive measure to sabotage further attempts. the spoilered text describes what happened and why I posts this, spoilered because it shouldn't derail the thread. I don't know what I did to piss him off since absolutely nothing happened before, but as the image shows, a certain someone tried to frame me specifically as pedo, this obviously was intended to create drama and make it impossible for me to post art/about Alice unhrassed ever again if the attempt had gone through. As you can see he reacted in tomoes typical manner of speech adressing me as buddy (I've seen this in previous co threads), then threatening me with more trouble (easy thought experiment, if this is not tomoe, why would he threaten me after the accusation?) if I 'don't stick to obsessing about Alice', which mimicks his words about Phoenix when he took a break recently, tomoe said he 'shouldn't have tried to play thread politics', so yes, I am positive this is tomoe doing this, why? Likely to create a scandal and summon another thread villain to draw attention away from himself. After all, everything he ever contributed in threads was trolling and falseflagging, including harassing me specifically for two months from February to April 2024, but I will not go in depth unless relevant or necessary. Point being, if any weird posts suddenly show up, or certain sentiments and falseflag attempts are made relating to Alice, Aliceanons in general or me specifically, this is likely the reason why. This post will not appease him and doesn't intend to, I hope awareness of the issue can snuff his attempt out before it causes any damage. I apologize for interrupting, thanks if you read and remember this, you do not have to reply or aknowledge this post, but I see no other option than making it.
>>312026 I feel for you Aliceanon Having a dedicated schizoid going out of their way to shit up the place with forced drama every time they see you do or post anything remotely identifiable quite frankly fucking sucks to deal with
>>312031 Fair, but I take it as a sign of desperation on his part because everybody he could provoke is just moving on. He hasn't chased anybody off, the /co/ thread just fucking sucks 90% of the time and the fandom as a whole has cooled off because there's no new interesting canon. He's alienated himself because his self admitted primary form of amusement is to sneakily make others miserable around him, so nobody familiar with him will ever take any accusation he makes seriously.
>>312043 I really don't understand what people see in tentacles, still nice art, cute bottomplate even if it's covered in slime, and I get you I'm at my fucking limit when it comes to certain things
>>312046 >Mac kills N and then marries Uzi >He later blinds himself and walks into the snowy wastes of Copper-9 But hey he at least solved the solver Sphinxes riddle
>>312020 Kek, I haven't seen anyone other than Russians say that in internet. We also have a variation of this phrase: "blood is thicker than jelly," but that's more of a joke.
>Mac joins the Copper-9 Boxing Association >His motivations are his own, but his goal is to become the champion >He's got a long road ahead of him, now that boxing fever's taken over the planet, but Khan's taught him everything he knows about boxing, including the Door Punch >Let's see the contenders he's going to have to battle on his way to the top...
>Glass John: Weak as hell for a drone, you hit him in the jaw once and he'll go down. Only notable for surviving every fight (and his one KO). >SD-Y: Upright military drone who's held back by her insane jobbitude. >Alice: Crawled her way out of hell and upgraded herself with everything she found on the way up. The grunt parts make her extra tough. >King Mutie: A giant, lumbering mass of flesh that knows more about boxing than one would expect.
>U-U: They technically count as one person, and they're not going to give you the benefit of a tag-team fight. >Nahk: Jesus, they build workers like this? It's a bad day to have "door" in your name. >Haruka: And Aoi, but shh. Bamboozles her foe with her "Solver" powers. >Pavo: The flamboyant flayer, #1 ranked DD killer. Good thing he's here for fun. Don't get bootlooped.
>SD-D: Nobody let her bring bombs into the ring, but she still got them through, and the C9BA is awful at disqualifying fighters. >Doll: The oily poltergeist takes physical form just to participate. >AVRE: The gorilla-armed sentinel drone has you in her effective range. Try to avoid those haymakers, lest you lose your head. >Commander Jones: Of course Jones wouldn't pass up the opportunity to bludgeon a DD with his bare hands. Have fun. >Boxo: The champion is none other than Boxo! He's basically good-hearted, but he's willing to throw down in the ring.
>Mike Tyson: Revived and upgraded beyond his prime by Uzi's tail after she got a bit too invested in Mac's career. If you thought Iron Mike was bad, get ready for Absolute Mike.
>>312058 >Doll gets (temporarily) assimilated into The Absolute Solver's mind palace after having her core eaten by Cyn >Doll naturally expects to be tortured in any number of unimaginable ways for daring to defy such a malicious Eldritch entity >Yet despite Doll's resolve to stoically face whatever The Solver had in store, the 'torture' she's actually subjected to turns out to be far hornier than could be anticipated... >Had Cyn not been multitasking Doll's digital/spiritual "DESTRUCTION ;)" whilst physically fighting Uzi, Episode 8 likely would've ended in Total Solver Victory Excellent artwork based drawfren!
>Want to buy drone >Too poor to afford a new one >Go to a used drone dealership >All the drones there look at you with puppy eyes as you pass them How do (you) resist the urge to leave with more drones than it is feasible for you to support?
>>312094 >>312095 >>312096 >Emily tries to seduce you by acting like a perverted fiend, outright daring you to kiss her exposed crotchplate >Emily instantly collapses back into acting like a flustered mess the moment you call her bluff but she still doesn't want you to stop
>>312110 It did this the first few times for me as well, sometimes 4chan gives you a infinite captcha hell preventing you from posting, reload the site and it should work like the anon said before
>>312115 >Akita making lots of friends since she can solve captchas for the outpost >Akita realizing that they're not her friends and they stop interacting with her beyond what they need for her to perform her sole purpose
I've invented a chip to make those ferocious DDs return to their senses! it's not perfect but it restores (some) mental functions to the DD and more importantly prevents it from harming you! sure, they'll still threaten to flay you alive and gut you like a fish, but their base WD programming has priority so they can't do you any harm!
>>312154 >The more I write the stronger my impostor syndrome becomes NTA but, speaking from personal experience, that feeling gets exponentially worse if you ever pause/stop writing. Sometimes you just have to keep at it even in spite of yourself
>>312159 Feelings of self-inadequacy are quite common amongst creatives of all stripes; The general reader/audience experiences stories/art in terms of what is or isn't, whilst the author experiences their own work in terms of what could or should have been. It's an uncomfortable, but ultimately 'normal', thing to feel about one's own work (Hell, it's I'd argue having some level of self-doubt is far healthier than thinking everything you do is the hottest shit ever made)
My advice is to rationalize it like this: Works brought to fruition, even the most inadequate and imperfect of them, hold infinitely more value than all the greatest and most perfect of ideas never told nor shared
>>312159 >>312162 Do you get that issue where you write a whole section of the story, only to think of a new, shiny, better idea, and get the sudden urge to rewrite it, cause a massive migrain? >>311364 >>311365 >>311366
>>312163 Yeah... Elena was meant to be a one off cuck joke and I kinda wrote too much of her and decided to just wing it and now we're where we are >>312162 Never really seen my self as a creative, but you're right
Also since I'm already talking about her and getting things off my chest : here is a graphical representation of Elena I started "making" some time ago, I do not claim credit for it, it's mostly traced from Phoenixanons sentinel art and Kitsch's J refrence sheet
>>312175 I had a whole different section of that story written that would have taken it in another direction, but Elena was mentioned a few too many times an so I canned it and then suffered writer's block for 2 weeks
>>312156 >Corru's influence spreads no idea how to properly describe it, but that corru game managed to fill that niche of topics just outside of things reasonably doable with drones, its soo... weird.
Like these things are robots but not, they are purely metal but dont understand use/electricity, they are basically ant people who accidentally developed FTL tech before they discovered bronze.
They would unironically find solver drones and DD less creepy then regular drones because they call our metal 'dead' and that weirds them out.
These things are so fucking weird and I love them, I wanna make a story with them interacting with drones one day.
Go play Corru.observer , its wonderfully incoherent.
>>312188 one guy got so used to that sort of thing that he thought he could to milk this intern with bigass mammary adapters and he ended up with a cup full of steaming cheesy meat slurry
>>312191 >J frowns >as the day goes by, your J coworker's blazer becomes increasingly filled out >her joobs are producing creamy milk at an alarming rate >digital sweat runs down her display, real sweat trickling down her drone body >the clasps of her industrial-strength bra start digging into her back as her garment strains to contain the jilk inside of her >she leans over your cubicle wall once more, her burdensome breasts thunking against your cubicle wall, sending pins and post-its scattering to the floor >a strained smile shows her fearsome fangs as she tries to act casual, her hair frayed despite her ponytails >are you sure you don't want coffee? with plenty of cream of course... >or maybe just a glass of warm milk to help you fall asleep during another worthless meeting...
>>312195 disassembly drones make all kinds of weapons and thingamajigs from their arms, surely one of them can create a disc tray and a GameCube controller port.
>ojou-sama heiress develops terminal disease >dumps every cent she can into developing a cure >when that fails she dumps even more into finding a way to transplant her brain into a drone body to escape her mortality >years of testing finally yields results, and the ojou's brain is successfully transplanted into a drone body modified to meet her high personal standards >now she'll use her newfound immortality and remaining inheritance to rebuild her wealth and family name– >or she would have, if the solver didn't begin its war on mankind mere days after the surgery. >she can't afford a private spacecraft anymore, and she isn't allowed passage on the public escape vessels >no matter how many times she insists she's human, any drone is treated as being already infected >left behind and holed up in her mansion, it's not long before the solver does take and turn her >and much to the solver's delight, there's a readymade squad for her, lying discarded in the catacombs beneath the manor. >twisted, part-human drones: the failed, forgotten experiments that laid the foundation for the young heiress's miraculous immortality >they've all gone different degrees of mad down there in the dark, but they've got one thing in common >they're eager to meet her
Everyone say thank you to the Drone whose in every post you see here! Due to their tireless work you get endless content featuring all your favorite drones and OCs as seen in MD.
>>312194 J, I can't believe you! >you grin, remembering every time she berated you over the slightest infraction you want me to just sleep through Hubertson's dissertation on the benefits of changing our paper supplier? for shame. and! >you point an accusatory branded pen at her bust, "accidentally" grazing the lone button struggling to contain its sloshing enormity you're clearly violating the dress code! look, I'll let it slide this once, but >you give the button another tap with your pen and her blazer visibly parts another inch you really need to take care of this wardrobe malfunction before it becomes an issue. this button is barely hanging on by a thread for goodness sake!
>>312210 This drone dresses up as all your favorite Murder Drone characters and OCs in every post you see. Best part is they do it for free (because they love the community of course)
