THE SALVATION OF ANIME IS HERE!

(actually this season has some really really solid shows I've enjoyed.)

This joke series gets pretty lame as it goes on, the primary joke gets super played out to the point it almost stops being a joke with how close it is to your standard shounen featuring an overpowered MC and a cast full of Z-fighters relying on him for everything major, and as the rest of the setting is built-up it would be more interesting to actually follow them and see the other heroes actually get some credibility.

I'm waiting for a fansub that actually subbed the entire thing instead of copy/pasting from the manga.

That's pretty much what the webcomic does? Saitama is a vehicle for other characters like King and Fubuki to get development.

I'm also going to be watching One Punch Man, but I've said it once and I'll say it again; Anime doesn't need salvation.

But, yeah, this season is pretty solid. Rokka no Yuusha is my Anime of the Season.

I know but I love the joke of Anime being saved by various increasingly stupid things so much!

Oh boy, another seasons of adapting a dull, slow adaptation of a creative webcomic. What's that you say? No more Mob Psycho because people demand Murata? Great.

I'm amazing how many people seriously think the success of one work causes the failure of another, even when the opposite is more likely.

If you’re that salty about OPM, go to /a/. They’ll love you for being a shitposting contrarian.

The thing is, it's not OPM. It's Murata's OPM. It got ONE publicity so it has that going for it, but the high fidelity art of Murata's version has two problems that cripple the whole thing.

1. While it is very high fidelity, it is also very typical in style. This means both that the anime can (and does) do nothing but remove detail from the art, and unlike with ONE's freeform doodling, the animators can't do their own thing which Mob Psycho 100 shows results in an infinitely better looking product.

2. Murata's OPM is a side project mired by a slow release and filler that is devoid of ONE's pacing and sense of humor. Even though ONE provides the basis for Murata's new material, it's him having to insert extraneous shit into the original story which ruins the pacing.

Looked like a fujobait series to me from the screenshots, like K Project. What makes it good?

I was expecting it to be meso-american flavored Record of Lodoss War, but it became a mystery anime during episode 4. Still meso-american flavored fantasy adventure anime, just less emphasis on 'adventure'. It's a tad on the talky side, so it's not for everyone. It's premise, setting, mystery, and characters had me intrigued and enthralled so I loved the shit out of it even if it had a "FUCK YOU READ THE LN" ending, which I know rubs people the wrong way. It's 12 episodes I don't regret and still my AotS for Summer 2015.

The different adaptations spun off from the original OPM are all complete shit.

Especially the manga. Murata just can't help himself in dragging things out like a glacier stuck in tar, adding stuff that completely destroys the writing or repeatedly going back to redraw chapters he's already done

There's something weird going on with some threads in /jam/.
When you look at them on the board the posts are now somewhat out-of-order with much older posts being below newer ones.
But if you open up the thread to view it they are in the right place.

Apart from this thread the Sailor Moon one over >>89059 is also showing these symptoms.
