First off, this is the most up to date Pastebin I could find. Doesn't have everything, especially not TM's increasing number of non-Nasuverse side projects like Zvesda (which you should watch), but it's your meat and potatoes. http://pastebin.com/KE0ePxbD
Second, we've got two new Ufotable FSN videos! New PV: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1tl67s A chunk of Saber vs Lancer: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1trg8g
Too bad their directing pool ain't so hot. Fate/Zero anime was mostly good because of the source material and strong production values on a lot of things, but good lord it had so many questionable directing and storyboarding choices.
And I hear that the guy directing the new FSN series is the one who did KnK 6, an utter clusterfuck. I can forgive it a little for butchering the source material since the original chapter was a real slog but good god that movie was bad. There was like no internal consistency and so on.
Hollow Ataraxia is finished. Or rather, it's fully translated but hideously unedited, apparently. The story I'm being told is that one of the people on the project was so frustrated by the lack of progress, he just checked to make sure there were no more moonrunes and uploaded it.
Ah, so Fate/Strange Fake is being made into a full project of some kind, hopefully still written by Narita. As for the return of Apocrypha's original form, that's called Fate/Grand Order and is some kind of online mobile game.
>>89291 Gee they're really spreading themselves too thin with all this new Fate stuff. Even without the usual anti-dairy naysayers there's the danger of the series running out of steam with all these spinoffs.
Well Grand Order is just a mobile game so who cares, and aside of DRRR I don't think Narita can make bad things.
I DO hope that the next TM announcement we get is something not Fate related though, unless that Fate announcement is "Western Release of CCC and/or the actual VNs."
>>89298 What's wrong with DRRR aside from the chuuni-tastic K/Mekaku City setting? Most of the problems I had were with the crummy anime and from what I hear the books are much better. I'd have thought his Kenpachi Stu fanfiction was more objectionable.
Apparently both the first and second episodes of Unlimited Blade Works are going to be an hour long. To me that says they're doing both Rin and Shirou's prologues.
Field reports from the Lost Angeles premiere say that the director has gotten better about exposition scenes so that they aren't just people sitting around and talking for those that were bothered by that. Or, I presume, walking around in circles, which even I'll admit was ridiculous.
>>89816 That's because it's a different guy to begin with. It's the director of KnK Movie 6, which suffered from being a clusterfuck deviations from the canon that were sloppy and full of self-induced potholes to the extreme, but the actual storyboarding and pacing were OK otherwise.
Also that ruled (oh Rodyle liked TM thing act surprised), though there's things about the prologue that really come off as odd in retrospect. Like Lancer thinking Bloodfort Andromeda seems awesome and going right for the defenseless Rin.
There's a couple pretty by the numbers bits to that OP, particularly the bit where Shirou does the fucking grasp the sky thing. But boy am I on board with everything from Saber suiting up on!
I particularly find the joke about Rider at the end there hilarious. Hopefully the episode itself is just as good.
What's the deal with scar and jacket Saber? Haven't dug into the anime yet cuz I don't feel like sitting through two hours of exposition I already know, but I'm assuming it's something she was wearing in the promo art, and I'm guessing gym all the jacket Shirou is a redesign as well.
>>90045 Yeah Shirou's design got updated for the new anime. Not sure if I like it though. Sure his previous design was kind of simplistic but it carried the casual air of the home scenes well enough. My brother has a shirt just like that so it's definitely the kind of reasonable normal wear people that age would have.
Got 100% completion in Hollow. That game is about 50 hours long and fucking great for most of it, Baz and Avenger are fantastic. Karen's not actually that great in most of her showings but she's got a pretty good bit at the end.
I really wish I knew someone who was going into the anime blind just so I could see them go through the WAIT WHAT? WHAT? OH MY GOOOOOOOOD reaction everyone who read the VN had.
I mostly like the original material this episode (although Sella and Leysrit ;_;) but I do wonder why Caster used so much power for a guy who's such a joke compared to her.
The Strange/Fake manga seems cool, shame we're only getting one volume a year. Well the LN is getting 2 volumes a year so maybe Reiu or someone will pick it up.
UBW ended. I have my complaints, both as an adaptation and as a show unto itself, but it's good and boy that ending was fantastic, especially all the original content in London.
I've more or less completed my run of trying to catch up on the animated Nasuverse; Zero, DEEN stay night, UBW (Ufotabe, but not Movie), Prototype, Tsukihime and Carnival Phantasm. I'm in the middle of Prisma☆Illya 2wei and planning on watching Sunny Day soon. On the whole, I had fun and can definitely see why people love (& alternatively, hate) the Fate series.. DEEN stay night and Tsukihime we're definitely the low points on the ride and I'm totally hyped for Heaven's Feel.
>>92169 I forgot to mention that I haven't read either the VN's, LNs or mangas yet and decided on an 'anime first' route for my first experience to stay away from 'but in the original...' mindset I fall into very easily and wanted to experience the animes first to give me how to imagine the voices and how the action scenes flow while animated.
I'm wondering if they're going to keep use the Realta Nua or the VN interpretation of the H scenes more. RN turned them into bloodsucking, and it probably doesn't matter whether they do that or change it to implied sex with a fade to black, but other stuff like the part where Shinji tries to rape Sakura and her known history of sexual abuse has more impact that whatever RN censored it with. Fate/Zero already made that clear, no point in backpedaling on it.
I'm sure Ufotable will handle Realta Nua as well as they did in Zero, while not showing any sex like they had in UBW while being vague on what exactly they are doing. I'm not worried either way. It is a movie, so it should be able to get away with a little bit more than normal. But then again, I don't actually know if Japanese movies have as much freedom as OVAs/ONAs.
>>93095 He's in China at the moment for some theatre Shakespeare festival. He met up with bilibili, the distributor of Fate/Grand Order in China and had an interview with them which turned up with what we have in this thread.
How is Fate/Apocrypha anyway? Writing and plot wise. The final thing seems less otakubait than how it started off as, Extra/Extella and Grand Order have already taken that up.
https://twitter.com/Fate_SN_Anime/status/845825298637586432 Anyway first movie is out in October and is called Presage Flower because nothing in Type Moon can into proper English.

>>93930 >I really hate Marie's hat. Without knowing anything about that character, I tried to see if I could guess pick them out from the result on danbooru for "fate/grand_order hat".
I've said this over on /a/nime and I'll say it here. I'm glad I didn't get into the Fate franchise at an earlier point, otherwise I'd feel kinda sad at the direction the franchise has been going. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the Fate franchise, but I'm not a huge fanatical fan either.
