This thread is for posting random edited and out-of-context images from videogames for the purpose of jocularity. Because /cog/ could always use more content.
>>418141 … is this an actual game? Perhaps it could be an interesting setting, having a tacticool army shooter where you invade fucking pixies and elves and shit.
>>418431 oh yeah, I've seen like a hundred of these on twitter. First it was just redrawing in a modern style, now they are drawing every imaginable character as Sailor Moon.
>>418747 This is canon btw. It happens in the Halo CE ending, though you have to edit the camera angle to see it. Master Chief takes off his helmet and he just has another helmet underneath.
Even the Bungie guys mentioned it in a commentary DVD!
>>418793 That really depends on the game, and the team working on the game. For ex. Final Fantasy VI HD versions were extremely shit, but the recent C&C Remaster was stellar.
Having an option to toggle between legacy and HD graphics at a button press is also very useful in that regard. More and more companies realize that this is something that people actually want, since the reason games need a HD remake isn't because they want the graphics remade, it's just because they want some of the presentation to be improved: like widescreen support, higher fidelity audio, or simply the ability to run on a modern system.
>>418849 Its from a cutscene in the Gihren's Greed series of strategy games. Part of the Gundam franchise where you choose a faction and basically play through events of the UC Gundam timeline.
Alot of events from the series happen but sometimes you can take things in an unusual direction compared to canon/prevent characters from dying/get characters to join different factions etc etc. You can also focus on mass-producing unusual machines like in that case being the Zakrello mobile armor.
>>418850 Ah, my first thought was that it looked like a bunch of sharkticon offshoots in space, seems I wasn't too far off (Transformers The Movie was animated by the same company, you can even spot some broken Gundam parts in the Quintesson jail).
>>418887 OTG has been a thing in tons of fighting games including SF4, but yes, the ridiculous part is that the dragon punch can do that too - and from that much distance.
>>418910 Spinball will always have a special place in my heart. It had kickass music, Sonic was cheeky as usual despite the game having even less goals than before, and Robotnik was creepier than ever. He had a volcano superfortress, an actual prison complex full of captured animals, and you could actually see the process where he converts little fluffy birds into biologically powered automated death robots (it was in fact a boss fight). I mean, yeah, you had to free animals from a prison cell in the main games too, but they were these small containers you poked open with a trigger, not a 9 screen big prison complex. And it didn't show the animals actually getting hurt.
Surprisingly dark stuff. and yes, the bosses were actually freaky.
>>418989 Think that image of the baby is taken from the game where one person plays an infant while the other plays their father and the goal is for the baby to kill themselves in the time limit while the dad tries to stop them.
