>>200189 I wonder if the Mac port will be as buggy as Psychonauts. Playing through the game right now, and while it plays as intended, it always forgets to stretch the image to my screen at startup, resulting in the image being displayed in the lower left corner. Changing the resolution back and forth fixes the issue, but every time you do this you risk crashing the game.
Also, this bird never thought of flying over the fence.
>>200195 I don't think it is possible to have truly bad graphics anymore. If you are not going for true realism, and know your stuff, your game will look good by default.
Anyone seen this? It's a physics-based 3D platformer, seems to focus a lot on flying and supposedly has a high skill ceiling, like Mario 64. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1933452375/sulphur-nimbus-hels-elixir
>>201292 Lots of movies get announced but never made, I remember the announcement of a Teen Titans movie like in '08 or '09 and nothing came after the announcement.
Still means nothing. Films go into development all the time; doesn’t mean they always go into production. There was news a couple of years ago (or thereabouts) about Disney developing a Rescue Rangers live-action/CGI film in the vein of the Chipmunks movies, but I ain’t heard shit about that project in the intervening years, which leads me to believe it was shitcanned.
>>201295 Did they announce all the details? Not really. Besides, Disney did not give the green light, it was just an idea that did not even go into pre-production.
In this case, we got the approval of the IP holder, a director who wants to do it, who is going to be in charge of the art, and the identity of the animation company.
Pixar has axed films with announced titles and plotlines that were in various stages of development. Until you see footage of the film being produced (or footage from the film itself), don’t get hyped.
>>201420 The character models in BG&E look purrfect on PS2, the console it was originally programmed for. Occasional muddy wall texture aside, the character models are just purrfect.
>>201421 It better get ported to PS4 as well, or I will.......... get angry.
>>201849 What? I was listening to Jim Sterling's podcast and he and Laura were insinuating as much as the embargo would allow them that it was hot garbage. I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about.
>>201852 Preview build showed that it was functional but that alone does not make a good game, not if it runs poorly, has bad level design, and is badly bugtested.
Team 17 keeping their legacy of horrible media management alive? I mean surely the gaming media they wouldn't be purposefully trying to turn this Mighty Number 9 situation. Oh wait yea they would because those assholes love a dumpster fire.
>>201860 And Jim just gave the game a 2/10 and is getting steamrolled hard by fanboys for having the nerve not to like it. Honestly if his complaints about it feeling super dated are true that's entirely his right. I wouldn't grade it that harshly, but since he's a guy who's easily pissed off by "chore" mechanics I can totally see how he would find it unforgivable.
>>201861 Yea some find Charm in the 90s style and he's apparently not one of them understandable. I won't Tar the man has he's one of the few going to the plate to make Steam something better than it is.
Also vids about talking about the Rumor that Bioware decided that working on the human assets was low priority so they farmed it out and also just went with the stock CyberScan models instead of designing from scratch and then not going in and tuning the faces.
While the quantifies that as rumor and hearsay it does sync up with the opinion of a former Bioware Animator and what went wrong and what they didn't do.
For those unaware, all four PS2 Jak games will be released on PS4. They will be the original PS2 copies, running by means of emulation, with a combination of uprendering and upscaling, to be 1080p. For some retarded reason, trophies are added: //youtube.com/watch?v=d-7Wm-zyOc8
If all goes well, these re-releases will have 0 bugs.
