>>51783 I saw it without fully understanding, and it seemed pretty good. Besides, serious animation is hard to come by these days - almost everything is a comedy
I just watched the first two episodes and I'm quite enjoying this show! Colette is adorable and Ernest is cool to watch as he struggles to grow while protecting his sister. I really really hope you guys continue to sub this series! I can't wait for more!
Sorry for being lazy piece of ass, guys. English subs are kinda ready (no spellcheck though, and some minor grammar errors): https://mega.nz/#!zRgABRZL!PWcs51NQ8er7rVQUuoTrMH2_8QVj5wMG18XmRc-AXC4
I'll try to do French subs and commentary tomorrow
>>51843 Yeah, and we already have 6 eps translated so all we need right now are eps 7-10 (7th apparently already translated but not subbed). It would be amazing if you could do that, and I don't think I'm the only one who's eager to finish this series. It's been a great ride so far.
French anon here. Just wanted to tell you that I sent Episode 8 French and English script to timing anon yesterday. But since I didn't have any news on episode 7... I don't know.
>>51846 Right now, I have French transcript for episodes 1 and 5-8. I started by translating directly from the video.
>>51849 The transcripts? Well, if you want: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7QxHSJhsuKWbGdMeUlNczVvUnc&usp=sharing (First time using that, it's public right?)
It may not be very clear, it's the first time I do something like that. Also timing anon corrected a few things on his own while subbing. Words in standard characters should be what end up being sub. In red are scenes/places markers when I bother to indicate them. Italic is commentaries, translation issues and shitty jokes that helped me go through it... Bold is usually to indicate who's talking, as some sort of markers. Light grey is stuff that probably doesn't need to be translated (usually crowds or background characters). Occasionally more comments.
>>51865 Yeah. I was thinking of trying to take the transcripts and subbing them, but then it was time to serve some time in the military (conscription) and now I ain't got that much time.

Thought I could do a little more despite no more timing, so episode 9 transcripts added (Fr and En) to https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B7QxHSJhsuKWbGdMeUlNczVvUnc&usp=sharing. I can't translate the German parts though, but since they aren't translated for the French audience, that may not be an issue.
I can provide timing (make eng subs). I can try and make French as well, if you want. Will you make eng transcript for the last episode? Thanks for your help!
>>51888 Here you can find all the episodes, as well as eng subtitles for episodes 1-8. Soon I'll add episode 9 https://mega.nz/#F!2hcn2SIA!y4zBkPPBauzt2F8AqqForw
Maybe someone is able to contact Marcel Paul? Or maybe someone else could translate the last episode from French? I don't want to give up on this... just one episode left...
>>52212 It can't end like this. Those in the subbing and translation team, GAMBATTE! Don't give up! Follow your dreams and deliver us from this eternal prison!
>>52224 >>52223 I did a quicky sync-check for these subs, and they seem a bit desynced later in the episode. I haven't gotten around to propperly watching the episode/subs yet, so I cant give more details. I'm just saiyan it's off.
Still tho, I fucking love you for finally finishing these subs. You have no idea how long I have wanted to finish this series.
Boa noite. Sou do Brasil, moro perto da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Eu baixei a série "Les grandes grandes vacances" pelo seu site, e gostei muito dela. Parabéns pelos videos. Por favor, o Senhor poderia me enviar as legendas em inglês desta série dos episódios 7 ao 10?

Hello there! Is there someone who has the original French subtitles? And maybe also all the English subtitles? Some of the links in here are not working anymore :( Thank you for any kind of help :)
For anyone still looking, I found subs here https://zimuku.cn/detail/93198.html click the green button with the download sign, and then the black and white button. The archive has subs in 3 languages, including english.
I added the English subs to the Russian release, so the .mkv has: English and Russian sub, and French and Russian dub. French audio and English subs are the defaults (I hope!) for all episodes. Episodes 1-6's English subs are from surviving links in this thread, and episodes 7-10 have been split and synced from what I'm guessing is the Netflix subtitles in >417649. For some reason they're in "double-episode" format, I'm guessing this was how the Netflix subs worked, but the subs are missing the little "previously-on" sections at the beginning of the episodes. Other than that they're perfectly watchable and the subs are synced as good as I could get them with no experience, I think I did an alright job. Enjoy.
It's unbelievable how much worse the netflix subs are compared to the few french anon subs that are avalable. The netflix subs are missing subs for non-french dialog, the begining segments, and the ending segments. It's a joke. I hope the subs for the last four episodes resurface in the near future.
So, I'm currently working on a spanish fansub from the show, do anyone know what does "vraiq" mean? Google translate says it's "the real" I don't what the Morteau are trying to say in this context, maybe a homeless? Idk
>>418687 "vraiq"? is this supposed to be a spanish word? or a french word? cuz if its supposed to be french, then it got a grammar mistake "la vraie" (the "e" is for grammar accord with the gendered word before) "vrai" is the french word for "true"
I see this thread is still going after all this time. .. I was (as a lot of us) so happy to find the English subtitles and then realized after downloading that there were only available for ep 1-6 ... I see although that people have been watching it on Netflix with subtitles.. I could not find it on Netflix Canada or US with a VPN. Is it maybe on Netflix Italy ?
>>418709 Amazon is supposed to have them with English subtitles and English audio. Search for it under the name "The Long Long Holiday" - should be plenty of torrents for it, in HD 1080p quality. Unfortunately I don't know if there's a version with French audio.
>>418709 See >>417839 This guy have the subtitles for the episodes six to ten.
>>418711 Thanks! I asked this back on 4/int/ and some guy told me that was the nickname of the girl, so I think I won't touch that, but maybe something like "la cochina" (the dirty) would make more sense with that context.
I've already have finished the first chapter and part of the second one, I stopped working on it because university but I might start again around January.
