It goes like this: you post a photo of some part of the world, and others will try and guess the country. Nature is preferable, but cities are okay, I guess. If 5 posts get it wrong, someone else can post another photo.
Naturally, I'll go first. Hint: it's somewhere in Europe.
>>398409 >>398410 Nope, but here is 3 more hints: This state wasn't colonized by the British. If you can't see it, there are 3 large smokestacks and a large rock formation in that picture. This states biggest agricultural export is milk.
>>398433 >>398440 The answer is California. The giant rock is Moro Rock. Named so by the Spainish settlers due to it reminding them of a turban, a hat Moors (the Muslims that use to inhabit southern Spain) wore.
Some may immediately recognise the place (or at least the country) based on the event happening. Otherwise, a keen eye may be able to narrow down the region from clues.
The town was Vrontados, on the Greek island Chios.
The event was Rouketopolemos, where two rival churches launch fireworks are each other every Easter and count who hit the other belfry the most. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rouketopolemos
>>424200 This is a super tough one, I probably wouldn't be able to pick it.
Clue, which explained to me why it is so hard and might guide you on what to ignore: >[redacted] is a private, planned city built near [redacted]. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, with a street and several buildings bearing the name of that town.
>>424261 I won't, because it's in India. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavasa It's a bit of a cheat Guess The Place as it's literally designed to look like another place.
>>424835 Bulgaria is the closer one by far, but still a few borders off. I get the feeling you and Twister may have correctly recognized the flowers, so you've hit close to the region.
This is probably not hard to guess, but I just wanted to share this picture because it is really fucking beautiful in several ways (the incredible scale of the building is really humbling, and the sun lighting up the city blocks in the background is a beauty of its own). Man-made and natural beauty clashing in one single picture.
>>429102 No, though it IS in Russia. Honestly should probably just reveal it at this point, since asking people to guess a specific place in Russia is unfair...
>>429139 Just too fuzzy for me to read much text, I'm assuming central-east Europe from what I could glimpse, and it doesn't contradict the architecture. Is it a lighthouse?
