Yeah, it makes me kinda sad.

I don't really have a connection to the people here, and they don't even know me, but I like the atmosphere of this site. This place is like my internet home. I don't really have any online "groups" so when this place is done I won't really have anywhere to go. I'll visit 4chan on occasion but it really isn't the same.

I never thought I would see those words.

A lot of regular users either wandered off during one of our month-long downtimes or was driven away by the onslaught of CP early last year. The new boards have more-or-less done away with both, but there's not been any heavy reason for users to return en masse.

Anonex and I are doing a slow hand-over of stuff during my transition into god, which should be done in the summer. I'd like to say that once it's done I'll try to freshen up the site, but to be honest I'm quite lazy.

If anyone has ideas for site improvements, I'm all ears, but I promise nothing about implementation.

I'd say focus efforts on /draw/, that was Plus4's biggest advantage and draw over other sites as it provided a space where artists could all at once relax amongst friends with a stupid doodle and seek legitimate critique, a couple of events would help, I think with mod powers I could surely put some stuff together at least once a week for /draw/ and once a month for /baw/ with the return of gold memberships as prizes and such.

Well for starts /draw/ is REALLY GROSS, it's literally NSFW, It needs cleaning out, mind you not a banning of porn, just to use NSFW tags and no porn images for starting threads, a sticky thread outlining how things go would help, then events and such coupled to a positive experiences free from GODDAMN PEOPLE COMING LITERALLY FOR ONLY PORN REQUESTS and depending on what you can do to give people silly fun name colors as rewards it should revive pretty easily, really all of plus4 should be able to live again with a little investment of time which I can do pretty easily as a mod.

As for board layouts have you tried "i am gay" at the bottom of the page? I dunno why it's called that but it makes things stomach-able for me.

OH, we need subject headers back really badly.

And if I go mod I will devote a lot of my time to figuring out some way to resurrect /radio/.

Absolutely in the plans. Of anything that possibly would be done, this is the most likely.

/radio/ will not be resurrected because MP3s can be uploaded to many boards (and, eventually, most boards). However, a radio is on my "would be nice list", something like the old +4 radio where it's a frame along the side/top and will pull MP3s from all boards.

Also, as long as we're discussing nebulous plans, is there any interest in the archives? Right now it's a huge draw from google searches (for porn) and could be useful for more posters (interested in porn), but I don't know if any regular anons care about it.

Options are:
1) Do nothing, leave them alone
2) Get rid of them entirely
3) Clean them up (get rid of any remaining spam, empty threads) but otherwise don't touch them
4) 3, and merge the archives into one archive (yes, we have two archives)
5) 4, and get rid of all non-image-containing posts
6) 5, but keep only images in a booru-like manner

If we had anything going on I'd say 2) Scrap them, but right now it's enough of a graveyard I don't think that's an option, so 4 I'd say would be for the best.

I know Anonex was somewhat averse to porn, they acknowledged it but didn't seem to want to perpetuate it, from the sound of things you sound a little like you want to push it a little more? I mean obviously not outside of it's boards but let it bring in a little more activity?

I like porn, and it's always a huge draw for users (not necessarily posters). I have no inclination to get rid of any promotion board, but I don't want to push it harder, either. If it brings in more activity, that's fine, but I'm not going to set up anything more particular than the three we already have with the current post rates.

I don't want to make /draw/ SFW. I like the idea of artistic freedom, so if someone wants to make a post where all they do is draw multi-colored dicks, well, so be it. An alternative SFW board would be possible, if there was sufficient demand for it.

I think the one /draw/ is fine NSFW and I am also down with porn, but I think /draw/ should use NSFW tags, it would just make the board a lot more welcoming if you wanted to just jump on it for a minute and throw down a doodle, it's not like it's even getting any real activity in it's current state.

Is there anyway to up the limit on file sizes or does that have a really good reason for being the way it is?

I remember the previews version of /draw/ had spoilers for nsf and /d/ related content.
Won't mind reviving that.

Continually restarting the site with varying levels of satisfying interface, starting projects only to drop them a month later, and not really providing anything new or worthwhile in comparison with the 'competition' will do that.

And this is probably the ugliest it's ever looked from my perspective. Also we whine a lot.

And I would also like a bigger file size limit, for mp3 specifically, but larger webms are fine too. And is /a/vatar going to be deleted? I know it's classic and I use to post anonymously on it back some time during book 2 and 3 of the original series, but it's effectively dead weight now that Korra is over.

I'm happy that the radio side bar is coming back. And I feel forced Anon, even if it's on just one board, for such a small community seams a bit useless. I would like /durp/ back though.

I cleaned all the dead 12 year old request threads out of draw, I'm gonna try getting a thread going later so if anyone has a fun thread suggestion idea it'd be cool.

Well, there were the people who asked for permabans, like senor and pablo and Ferrous Fellow.
Tbh I'm not entirely unsure that senor and pablo weren't the same person.
