>>418210 I find it hilarious how people are complaining about the chicken jockey shenanigans with such outrage when people do even more annoying stuff like throwing rice and confetti, shooting water pistols, etc. in Rocky Horror Picture Show viewings
>>418218 >>418227 With those it is at least small showings for movies where people know what they are getting into. This is a new blockbuster with little kids and families who actually want to watch the movie.
>>418280 I am saying this kind of shit isn't what general audiences are signing up for, dipshit. Cult movie screening are shown with this sort of thing in mind while this is just causing a public scene in a room full of people who payed to actually watch the movie.
The TLDW is that general audiences have largely abandoned going to the movie theaters, regardless of the quality or genre of the movie. The Minecraft and the "Chicken Jockey" phenomenon (which they predict studios will try and replicate) has been the only thing to actually draw in general audiences in 2025. Perhaps something to do with it being a "shared experience?" Who knows, I personally thought all of the movies they listed as being good but nobody watched sounded boring as sin, but I'm also never going to see the Minecraft movie, so I can't say I understand anything about popular zeitgeists.
>>418207 >>418209 How did this line become a meme? Before I saw the trailer, I assumed Jack Black must've said it in an weird way, but he gives a completely unremarkable line delivery followed by a cut to more Minecraft autism.
