More Solverless timeline shenanigans for anyone who remembers it and the characters. >>201010 >>201015 off the top of my head: >unbalanced proportions you almost always make characters (especially their limbs) incredibly thin and elongated to the point they resemble stick figures and they end up feeling flat. they need at least a little more substance to them. further, using wavy lines on different sides of a limb such that it widens and narrows at random points leaves it looking malformed. >inconsistent anatomy her shoulders attach in different places, her right arm is far longer than the left, with the upper arm being too long leaving the elbow in an an awkward position >visual clutter you seem to add lines for the sake of adding lines. in particular the number on the limbs always feels excessive, differ in number between each, and don't follow along the curvature of the arm. you have a similar issue with hair where the lines don't flow with the shape of the hair
>>200804 It's written on the back of their heads, their jcj customer satisfaction seal. Rewatched the show recently and came to the realization that I was treating the Solver War way too seriously than the show ever does, and was basically making war-time humans into just incompetent Halo humanity, which I feel misses the mark a whole lot when considering the tones of the show. Probably should go back and rewrite a good portion of it considering this.
>>201080 I think humanity was in a long long peace, all the weapons in the solver war was old shit they had mothballed in hangers. Which is why they brought an apache instead of any futuristic hover bomber.
>>201071 A Solver core Uzi hacked up and put in a drone body Traumatized by decades of mental and spiritual torture Disgusted and horrified by the things her dumpster friends have done and despairing because she thought she knew them Skeptical of Khan and Nori's kindness because parents who aren't horrible is an alien concept to her
>>201078 [Amused] Sure thing Anon, [Request - Prognostication] could you try licking your own nose please and try to not lick your eyeballs you eager beaver [Giggle]
>>201080 What? I'm not sure what you mean by this, the show purposefully doesn't SHOW you a whole lot about how the Solver utterly buttfucked humanity and the rest of the Exoplanets so that you can put the details to your imagination.
What the show is explicit about is that Humanity was taken off guard, they were basically powerless against the Absolute Solver,
>>201080 >>201087 Also everything about Cabin Fever tells us that the Humans on Copper 9 were watching what was happening "back home" and were desperately attempting to work on countermeasures - such as the Crucifix Patch. I'm not sure where you're getting the impression that the show takes none of that seriously, the little information we ARE given is dark and serious. The show just leaves much of it up to you. Which is great for fanfiction and stories.
>>201039 Thank you! Actual feedback for once! While most if it is right objectively. I have something to say about this one. > you almost always make characters (especially their limbs) incredibly thin and elongated to the point they resemble stick figures and they end up feeling flat.
I think this is just a matter of personal taste, which is fine. I got a second opinion and I guess you personally aren’t into flat looking characters. For me, I wanted to invoke this kind of style, this and stuff like old Disney and chuck jones. Thanks for the feedback! I certainly need more of it.
>>201094 You are stylizing too much without basics mastered. you need to be able to draw proper proportions and understand why they look good before you warp them in order for the oddness to stay good looking.
>>201050 I was talking about >201020 >>201062 And this is the million time you start sperging about some Redditor from your old as shit drama from /co/. Like holy shit, shut up.
>>201094 Art is more than picking a style Anon, the reason people "train basics" and learn how to make somewhat grounded characters that look good first is to train their eye, to know what's working and what doesn't. You haven't done that and you're skipping to step 9 before steps 1-8. Your art isn't good, yet, you can get there, but even your attitude is poor if you believe you're already at a place people spend years trying to get to. You're a kid, so I'm not trying to be a dick, just telling you how I see things.
>>201099 anon you're the one that replies to posts from a previous thread and keeps bitching and crying before demanding everyone else shuts up. maybe people will stop shitting on you when you stop being a blatant fag.
>>201079 >Chill out and have some fun That could be a huge reason why some people don't like his humor I find, they take everything too seriously, even if it's not needed at times, like for example watching cartoons
>Allanah Fitzgerald is going to the Level Up Expo >Highly likely she's going to interact with the Cyn bot that guy is building, who's also going to the Expo holy kek kino inbound.
>>201098 For sure. I only started sketching and planning recently, it was only a few months ago when I was just winging it by drawing shapes over each other. I’ve actually gone back and looked at Merlin from the old sword in the stone movie and paid attention to his hands, before I drew my hands like this
>>200970 The setting of the show sure allows for things to lean way further into the horror aspect. Things like actually showing how cyn (likely ordered J to do it) killed tessa, her massacre of an entire planet, etc. But while it's interesting to think about, the show would likely not be as memorable if it didn't strike the balance it does.
>>201100 > but even your attitude is poor if you believe you're already at a place people spend years trying to get to.
I don’t, I’m just at a point where it looks good. It’s not gonna be this forever. But for now, it’s mostly serviceable. At least in my eyes. Though I am aware of the visual clutter and wonkyness. Glad I actually got advice for once.
>>200970 Murder Drones showed just enough to let you dwell on the events that occured beyond Copper 9, the horrors of the Absolute Solver and the Singularity, and we see how the Solver was close to consuming Copper 9. MD plays a lot with implications and it does it really well. The setting of MD is completely fucked by an eldritch abomination and you can feel it in the atmosphere, especially through Episode 6, 7 and 8.
So yes I think they did pretty well. Liam did a very similar sort of feel in Internecion Cube but we didn't see things get too crazy before Liam moved on to working on MD with Glitch.
>>201106 >Plus was fine until you faggots showed up NTA but comments like this make you come off as an obnoxious tribefag. Unless you are purposefully trying to start shit I'd suggest you knock that off

>>201140 >>201148 He also acts like he's some kind of authority and that he speaks for every other poster, it's the most embarrassing shit to read especially when you can tell it's the same guy that shits up entire threads when people say his obnoxious takes are from reddit and complains about Tessa and Liam Vickers.
>>201016 She's the goat, hillbilly queen of cannibalization, homunculization, Sentinel-petification(kinda) and keeping it together for 20 years (mostly). Honestly tho, she is pretty smart and most importantly tactically capable, otherwise she wouldn't have lasted that long. Has to be one of the most competent characters in the show, who else did so much? N is relatively competent, Mitchell and Yeva too when it counted, need more examples. Anyways Alice deserves all headpats and uppies she can get

I gotta express an unpopular opinion I have, Grim’s art looks weird sometimes. I know it’s a big joke that I’m in love with him, While his art is stellar, some just look off. The way he stylizes worker limbs makes them look like big sleeves. They don’t look like they bend easily. Not that they look bad, just that it looks odd to me. I think this Alice is my least favorite. I know it’s old and he’s improved over time but it still looks very janky
>>201197 I’m not trolling, I’m just saying something I’ve had in my mind. I like grim, but I don’t love him like a boyfriend like how you all joke about. He has this problem where proportions get misshapen sometimes. I remember he once drew jax and he had freakishly big hands and detailed pecs. Also he gives worker drones toes, I don’t know if he still does that but I hope he stopped.
>>201198(me) Part of why i like him is that I see myself in him a bit. Im nowhere near as skilled but his art always had that amateur feel, he’s no slouch but not nearly professional. I still love his style and I hope he does something original in the future.
>>201200 This isn’t an attention post. It’s my actual opinion. I’m not bashing him. >>201201 Yes, it is his style. And some parts of style his look weird sometimes. The bulky WD limbs do work in a mega man sort of way, which fits because his way of drawing drones is influenced by capcom artists.
>>201204(me) It’s not that I hate the way he draws WD limbs, just that they look a little weird. I think his style really benefits DDs. I never thought N could rock the giant spawn collar like that.
How do you respond to this accusation? It's become more of a habit to dwell on desuarchive now now that the chan is gone, I think I'm starting to lose it.
>>201204 It's an incendiary opinion that you blatantly advertised as your own. You are also well aware that people here hate you, meaning the only reason why anyone in your position would do something like this would be to explicitly get attention.
I'm starting to think that other anon calling you out as an elaborate troll might be onto something.
>>201218 It’s only incendiary because grim is just so beloved here and I suppose criticism towards him must be rare. I just wanted to get this off my chest so people know I don’t worship him
In the original show Liam didn't care about humanity because it was literally a facade, but in solver war humanity and its struggles come first and of course it's going to be much more serious.
>>201220 Yeah. Technically I’m leagues below him, but when I said that I meant it as in his art was very skilled but still has some minor imperfections.

>>201193 I was one of the few anons who never insulted you, anon, who never said anything bad about you or your art because you're a kid and because in my opinion you didn't do anything too terrible, but now you have done it.
Are you seriously fucking trying to belittle the art of an artist with years of experience who spent literally years learning such a complex skill to somehow cover up your mediocrity? You, a stupid piece of shit who constantly spews an endless diarrhoea of bullshit, insults and scribblings, are trying to belittle an artist who creates beautiful art?
I thought tomoetomoe was a jerk for how vehemently he hated you, but now I see that everything said in your direction is completely justified.
drew this lazy wonky J with all the art talk I think I was going to make some kind of point about stylization and shape language but then I realized I'm not competent enough to give anyone advice on that so I just ended up with this anyway, here's something somewhat resembling J
>>201272 Calm down man! I’m not belittling him. I just think he draws WD arms weird sometimes. I have no issue with them and I still think his art is super cool. He’s just not perfect.
>>201274 That's a cute wonky J. Good job, drawfriend. I actually like the slightly digitigrade looking legs. I've seen a couple artists do that for the Disassembly Drones, it looks pretty neat a lot of the time.
About this^ J, should she have tie or collarbones visible? Both don't work out really >>201274 Very good looking J, are you new here? I can't remember such a style
>>201265 This on of the hottest JN sets out there, too bad it's peudo-netorare. Bossy older OL and plucky freshman is top tier, bonus points if the OL gets embarrassed from getting overwhelmed by her apprentice.
>>201284 It's probably the juxtaposition of J looking smug af (which is cute ofc), with the fact that she's about to subject a very terrified and traumatized N to what she probably calls "Corrective Punishment".
>>201287 Please understand, normies know very little of deep robot-fuckery. The normals need more fleshy anatomy to relate with. But it's hot for what it is.
>>201287 Yeah I prefer it to be On-Model drone accurate too, but this is still not too bad at all imo, I've honestly seen some that literally look like humans with the slightest tweaks to "droneify" them, so to speak.
>>201288 >Who started learning when he was five years old
What's your point, anon? That everyone can become a really good artist in a year or two? Maybe for someone who will spend for practice a few hours every day , with detailed theory study and teacher support, it's possible, but unfortunately not everyone is that diligent, and unfortunately not everyone can afford it.
>>201302 Well, there are many people on twitter, if you take all the millions of 16 year olds and see who is good at drawing, you will see that is almost nobody, besides, you can be good even if you don't have talent, it just means you need to work out more to get to a higher level, doesn't mean that is impossible
>>201302 Many 16 year old artists started(or rather, most of them were forced) to learn to draw literally from the age of five, and by the time they are 16 they already have 11 years of experience.
I think you too can become a good artist after 11 years of hard study, anon.
>Give N a Challenge of the Gobots DVD >He is happy and binges the whole series in story order >Sees Leader-1 as an ideal role model >Doesn't wanna watch Transformers because they don't have meat in them, therefore he cannot relate to them
>>201312 Ngl, I notice an increase art quality in Rule 34 MD in 2025 compare to 2024 or 2023. In 2024/2023 most art are just human with drone tweaks. Now, it seems that artist are realizing that on model is good so they make it close to a source material even with tits
>>201313 It seems that some people find it easier to draw than others, understand figures, forms, poses, etc easier than others, meaning they can draw better much earlier than other, others might find it harder to learn these things, and need more time to get to the same level as other artist, but they can, and sometimes even better if they learn enough
>>201317 >Ngl, I notice an increase in art quality in Rule 34 MD in 2025 compared to the last previous two years BROOO same, I thought I was going crazy and I couldn't be the only one who thought that, glad someone finally reinforced what I thought was true
Yeah it's looking good out there in the R34 section, I personally liked On-Model drones anyway so it's definitely a treat to see everyone making it as close as possible to the source material down to even the collarbones sometimes.
it's confirmed then, we will enter a golden age XD
If you have a talent in drawing, it doesn't mean that you are automatically better at drawing, it means that you really like it, which makes you draw a lot more compared to the average ‘non-talented’ person, which leads to your art would looks better than the other person's in the same amount of time.
But these are my thoughts, they are literally backed by nothing but personal perception.

>>201273 Now that I see it. I now see that Grim isn’t stylizing worker limbs too much. Just making them bigger, and even then sometimes they’re normal sized. The thing about him is that he likes to experiment, get the hang of a character and draw them in a way he likes. Look at these two cyns. The one on the right is more On-model but one on the left is him taking more liberties and just having fun. It’s part of that amateur feeling I get with his art. He’s clearly very skilled but still working things out

>>201340 We see DDs can hover with their wings deployed, some sort of unknown flight mechanism that generates propulsion. They do a big flap of their wings when accelerating forward at high speed in one burst. The wings are hyper-durable sharp metal, they obviously don't fly by flapping them to produce lift like birds.
>incest baby Do reddit niggers actually think N and Cyn are fucking related? Do they not understand that Cyn / Solver was calling N big brother to fuck with him and they're robots that are not related at all?
>>201193 Every drawfag fears the day scribbles decides to mention them and give art critiques on their works, for he only speaks in unmitigated TRVTHNVKES
>>201323 The love of something, I think, is passion. Passion for traveling, learning, reading, music, etc. Talent is difficult to quantify but my thought was it's what something you pick up quickly. Talent can be lacking in a person but if they have the passion to pursue it relentlessly, they can become incredible at it with time and patience. It does help when you get teachers or at least online resources that put the lessons into words in a way that clicks with you.
>>201275 You spend a lot of time saying things you could absolutely keep to yourself, because you're not old enough yet to understand. Much more time than needed that you could put into practicing things like Loomis (Fun With a Pencil), Bridgman or Michael Hampton. You keep sticking around despite being told to fuck off. People enjoy his art and he's pretty chill, no one here thinks Grim's 'perfect' or untouchable but most can tell his stylization (which is personal to an artist's taste which develops over time but that's lost on you) is built on good foundations, good understanding of gesture and being able to turn shapes and convey it well. It's why no one appreciates your thought. You should've left after your millionth "I'm going away now" post.
>>201351 Fear me. I am a god. Ok but to be serious with you, it wasn’t a critique so much so as it was just me personally thinking his WD arms look weird. And even then normal WD limbs aren’t that different. I went into more detail here >>201327 but. TLDR grim likes to experiment and sometimes it looks janky
>>201363 It was unsolicited critique of an old image. If he was here and posted a new drawing, you can critique that ONE new drawing. Posting an old drawing and talking about it just makes you fag.
>>201360 I’m aware that he stylises, again. More detail here >>201327 He has a very good grasp on shapes and I like him for that. There’s nothing stopping me from saying grim’s art looks weird sometimes.
Image:174528544541.png(288kB, 1315x588)i forgot what i was gonna name this file.png
>>201002 masqy is like 3 foot 4 i dont think she could handle this sorry for so little masqy posting! ive been getting into call of duty modern warfare lately ^.^ taking up all my thoughts haha
>>201381 I know he did nothing wrong, In fact I think he’s doing really good right now! He’s cool! I like him! It’s just that, as I’ve said already, grim likes experimenting and sometimes it looks weird. Some of his old art gets really wonky but overall, he’s a nice guy and very good at what he’s doing. I actually realized that normal WD arms aren’t that different from how he stylised them. In fact, he doesn’t draw them big like that. He just likes to twist characters into a way he sees fit. Which is just basic stylisation for you.
>>201383 The protagonist is named Ai because that means love. Why? Because it makes him more adorable than he already is. Can you imagine a shy lil' guy like him with his pet energy ball going around collecting flowers and plants so he can make medicine?
>>201389 Keep at it. Keep talking. It's funny because you can't shut up. You'll spend so much more time here than on your studies and you'll stagnate. Point went over your head.
>Alice and Beau were conceived of before Cabin Fever was even a thing >high likelihood that Nori, at the time episode 1 was written, was originally going to be straight up dead >Nori was originally going to enter the story as a ghost instead of a headcrab? >the Absolute Solver potentially attacking using Nori's corpse, halfway into Resident Evil boss territory under its control? >ghost Nori supporting Uzi against her possessed corpse?
>>201394 Right now, I’m happy with where I am. I’m not gonna stay like this forever. But I think I’m at a point where my art looks sorta decent and I’m just chillin >>201021
>"NT is for humanity! We've beaten back the Syndicate time and again! Be a man among 2d spacemen!" >Sign up for an NT station posting, get a medical role >An honest-to-god spider starts telling me what to do >Get reprimanded for racism when I ask how I'm meant to heal an actual fucking slime, because my first patient is an actual fucking slime, who I think just had a stomachache (with what stomach?) >See a security officer chasing a moth wearing a Gorlex hardsuit in public, but he's blowing a whistle instead of shooting I can't believe I ever bought into a shred of NT propaganda. A single DD would fold this place in an afternoon.
>>201374 >grim’s art looks weird sometimes And yours looks bad all the time. If you didn't consistently produce ass when you put your pen to a page, maybe your opinion would be more than worthless
>>201398 How is this bad? >>201021 The arms are weird and the lines in the hair don’t line up but other than that, it’s decent. I did a good job. Someone already told me why they would personally think it’s bad >>201039 Though the first point is more subjective to me.
>>201399 There’s nothing stopping me from saying your art looks bad all the time Especially when I've seen better composition and construction from 10 year olds Your art is really good for a 7 year old though
would it be more or less sad if V was more feral? as in, she behaved closer to a savage animal than a person, always hunched over, snarling and slavering, sometimes walking on all fours
>>201385 >3 feet 4 That measures at just above a meter tall, maybe you're right, she's just a wee bit too small. Literal pygmy drone. >>201409 She's the perfect size to clean under my furniture, so I'll get her to do that instead.
>>201393 > Masqy doing cave exploration >>201409 > Masqy doing skyviding >>201411 > Masqy doing scubadiving I didn't know she had so many extreme sports as hobbies.
>>201021 >The gold rings around the arms look stupid >The eyelashes are lazy >The all-pink fingers are ugly >The outfit is a downgrade >The boots break her drone anatomy Even disregarding the art quality this redesign kinda sucks
>>201417 Yeah the pink fingers turned out really bad, but I don’t know how i could draw them without looking bad. I really went overkill with the rings, should’ve just stuck to 2 on each.
>The outfit is a downgrade It’s not too dissimilar to her normal outfit
>The boots break her drone anatomy Yeah she turned out way too tall
>apparently certain online individuals decided that molly would be the perfect character for vore porn >molli, tired of being the only one being constantly exposed to heinous fetish art of herself, decided to show it to her >Molly has now been in the shower for 5 hours, and she's still audibly scrubbing >she took a chair in there
I must say, as the next Leonardo da Vinci steaks is…….pretty good! His art is loose and fun and I like that. Femdrone too, she’s decent at what she does and I like her angular look
>Blu spoiled that Colt and Akita are gonna get eldritch 3D modeling tool magic Akita is already 100% flesh so she's not gonna go through any sort of metamorphosis, but what's Colt gonna turn into under his skin when he goes through eldritch meat puberty, like Beretta became a Brundlefly and Negev became a Bloodborne werewolf?
>>201332 Now now femanon, I'm sure there's other ways to embarrass yourself in public. Don't worry, I'm sure that I can help with that when we're out together.
>>201456 >Watchin' Gaslight District pilot. Again. >Readin' Nothing. Though I should probably snag a book from the study downstairs. >Playing Was playing Company of Heroes as the British Forces. Arty spam is muy bueno.
>>201456 Just watched picrel, now it's currently my favorite Jim Carrey movie. I don't play games that much anymore, maybe next week I'll replay SPM now that I got the physical disc.
>>201472 Considering the fact that she was living in a underground hospital facility for several years at that point, she would probably smell like old clothing, clinical alcohol (like germs for example), very "sterile" smell, basically how I remembered how nurses smelled when I used to go to the doctor when I was younger.
This is just what I think she would smell, but idk what do you guys think?
toying with the idea of a fat disassembly drone ^.^ i like to imagine there'd be a sort of lore reason for a larger, bulkier DD model . i don't have many ideas for him besides like, personality (i imagine him being kinda boyish and nervous and not good at his job) so feel free to come up with fun stuff . ^_^ <3
>>201496 forgot to mention dubs is also supposed to be a drone-ified version of an old oc (much like masqy is) hence the little note . i wanted to mention it in the og post but i forgot kek
>>201496 >lore reason no because the idea of a fat disassembly drone doesn't fit with MD and makes no sense, disassembly drones are vampire genocide-bot slaves of the absolute solver to break planet's populations of humans and worker drones and prepare the world for the Singularity so the Solver can eat the planet.
>>201527 You are dumb, there are people that like it, and some that don't, guess what, not everyone shares your opinion, and guess again, there are a lot of people on each side
>>201538 I was going to say, that male drones couldn't have a baby, then I remember drones just use their code and that's pretty much it, and then solver shenanigans, so it is plausible Also, that design is super cute
>>201548 Honestly, after somethingteen years of complete isolation she probably just wants to be held and cuddled. Especially since without a body trapping her heat she's probably cold most of the time.
>>201526 Back to back nakadashi's with handholding and eye contact, full homo. >>201542 No, it makes you a COWARD! >>201549 Make him cum to submission, of course.
>>201390 Tbh part of this is out of my desperation to be noticed. Attention seeking? Yes, definitely. Is it kinda justified? A little. I feel like I’ve done nothing, and now I want to do something and have everyone say “He did something notable.”
I like the idea of little drones hard at work like little safety officer drones marching around in hardhats and jumpsuits to direct you safely past a construction area
>>201496 what is cyn doing with these disassemblers, man. how is this FAT FUCK supposed to put the MURDER in MURDER DRONES?? FATTY FATTY 2-BY-4 CANT FIT THROUGH THE BUNKER DOOR HAHAHAHAHAAAA
>>201332 This feels like you're entering a point of no return for a life alteing moment. I have no idea what that could be or its ramifications but, Yeah I got nothing.
Image:174529689874.png(186kB, 673x863)dubs more like bubs (bubies.png
>>201560 i can do that too >>201568 it was mostly to do something new ! i like doing unique-ish stuff with my drones (ie masqy being darker toned) , and i thought a fat/chubby drone would be cute ... guess that's not a shared sentiment though hahaha
>>201371 Nah, The only person you can prove existis is yourself. Reading this I could very well be a figment of your imgaination, or You are a figment of mine as I type this.
>>201572 >He gets laughed at for being fat >This stresses him out, and he eats when stressed >The reason he's a bad DD is because once he's done tearing apart the drones, he eats everything, leaving nothing for the spire
>>201582 Listen, after all this place still has some 4chan vibes, even more with the 4chan refugees, people often share their opinion to the extreme, the worst you can do is let that affect you, remember, filter to only find the level-headed opinion, and you do you, so things that make you happy and don't care as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. The character it is kinda cute, but some, me included, don't seem too fond of obese robots. If you want some un-asked opinion, let him lose a lot of tons, just a bit thicker than a regular DD and that might work. You probably already knew that thing about you doing you, but some positivity from time to time is nice.
>>201496 Kneejerk reaction from years of seeing tumblr and twitter nonsense made me go "eugh". It's the same feeling i had when Concord was shown.
But... i do see what you were going for. The only way to reconcile lore is to make it a joke. Solver made him bigger because it thought it would be funny.
with workers you can say "one in every couple thousand from the factory has a defect" which covers a LOT of OC issues,
>>201464 >She's dreaming of her human >She's dreaming that when she was a WD he accepted her feelings for him >She's dreaming that they've started dating >She's dreaming that they're getting married >She's dreaming that they're having children >She's dreaming that she didn't kill and eat him while being a prisoner in her own body, being fully aware of what was happening but unable to control her body, able to taste and smell and hear him dying at her hand >She's dreaming. >But now that dream has ended and reality greets her once again
