'cuz we finally have a place to post about anime and 'cuz it's not allowed on /co. /Co thread here: http://boards.plus4chan.org/co/t237352.html#p237352
Let's start with one of the best - Orochi-Onna, sexy snake lady from Gegege no Kitaro: Nippon Bakuretsu.
Looks pretty awesome, even if the plot is silly (werewolves are some ancient shapeshifting race whose souls are trapped between the Moon and Earth and people wanna use that as an energy source?) - the art style is actually pretty western when it comes to the werewolves. I mean, they are not real wolves (wolf's rain) or humans with wolf ears (Inuyasha) for starters... that's something! :) The silver wolfette looks neat. And there is an anthro dragon dude too, for some reason.
>>92811 Well, Sanji is a pathetic white knight who toddles along like a puppy dog over any attractive woman and won't fight back even if the lives of his crew are on the line nevermind his own.
Is this really that far removed when he was doing the same thing with mermaid girls?
Recently the person who does the webcomic Silent Horror decided to throw a brief furry twist into things: (Or whatever the Korean word for Kemono is) https://tapastic.com/episode/499927
Talking about Beastars, a bear had to take government mandated drugs to make him weaker.
What about massive physically powerful non-hunter animals like Elephants and Hippos? Especially fucking Hippos. Goddamn hippos, bears are manlets compared to them, and nowhere near as vicious.
Beastars will be ending in a few chapters and the second season is confirmed to start airing in January A roughly 200 chapter run, that should make about 4 seasons of anime.
>>417538 It's probably for the best, Beastars was getting too battle shonen over time so she just wanted to ditch all that and go back to character driven stand alone stories like she's good at.
>>417583 I wonder if they'll end it here. The murder mystery arc has its flaws but it's still considered to be at least good. Revenge of the Love Failure is so all over the place and also so long it doesn't seem worth adapting since it'd take two seasons.
>>417719 Well it's the same world where domestic breeds were genetically engineered by the government during the great war, it's best not to think too hard about it.
Looks like even though Paru ended the serialization of Beast Complex, she does still hold the right to just randomly drop a new chapter whenever. The power of an episodic series is you can just do that.
Beast Saga. Old hat here I'm sure but new to me. It's got cards, toys and even doujinshi. English dub seems to've only aired in Asia but ConTV has started streaming it. Subs are also available on YT. Clip with some background catgirls: Beast Saga Ep1 Fist Of Ferocity King Liogre
There's some fish girls too. Can't find a shot of the fish princess though. Her handmaidens are flounder-morphs. No readily available pics of the swan queen either.
>>418634 Random thought; Why did the games seem to forget that Sonic can also use Chaos Control powers after SA2? He can even manage it with a replica emerald.
>>419999 I see you my captain. What sticks in my mind is when we first see Renamon, she ends up pinned rather provocatively by this feral flaming lion digimon. (who subsequently get taken out and is never seen again for the entirety of Tamers)
>>420096 The Concierge, a brand new movie (based on a manga as it often happens). Right now all you have is raw Japanese and raw French, but you will get an english fansub soon enough. Maybe a new dub, but that is still unknown (it was shown in the States at special events, but that can mean just subbed).
Beastars Final Season Part 1 was actually quite good. They've done a lot of significant work to rewrite the weakest arc in the story so that all the random tangents that don't go anywhere are woven together into a new cohesive narrative, excited to see where part 2 goes.
