webms are terrible for my lazy ass, because no preview thumbnails and I always put off renaming them. I'm just gonna assume this is totally safe to post, since it's in my "Cute" folder.
>>91385 cause it was a ruse. a distraction. i has the sauce now.
I thought something was fishy when I named it. When I reverse image searched it all I got was Macross Plus. I've seen Macross Plus, but not any Patlabor yet. And I don't remember that scene in Macross Plus, but I named the webm 'Macross Plus' due to my webm storage method where I give a short descriptor or something to it. Thanks for the clarification by the way.
>>91386 No probs. I'm a bit of a Patlabor fanboy, so that opening has been etched on my brain since childhood. Of course Macross Plus was ace too, they were both iconic touchstones of the early '90s Manga Video mail-order slate.
>>91397 Is that a "British foreign exchange student"? (likely half japanese with a japanese father, and referred to as English when they mean British ince Japan seems to think England refers to the entire UK) Its also annoying how they are always blonde in Japanese media.
>>91547 I've only watched the first 2 'episodes' of the 90's version (6, 50min some odd episodes) so far. It's pretty much improved in all areas. Combat choreography and audio are very notable improvements. The new character designs are more Full Metal Alchemist and less 90's as fuck, so take that as you will. It's a strong contender for my secondary AOTS as long as it's plot doesn't shit it's self my AOTS is Ore Monogatari
>>91558 Shit, I loved that scene in the original series. Say what you will about the rest of the show but all the scenes involving Treize and his entourage were gold.
>>92111 Latin America was whining because of the QUALITY of episode 5 over the past week. And I just kept telling them: "I watch Precure and I have to endure that kind shit of 3 or 4 times each season. Deal with it."
>>93300 Idols fight aliens in airplanes that can transform into robots and use music to cast magic. Or so I would believe from the pictures and hearsay I've skimmed over the internet. Standard Macross fare.
>>93331 Mekakucity Actors. A vocaloid anime that SHAFT made on a shoestring budget. It's plot only makes sense if you've listened to the album of the same name and/or the manga.
The reason why the webm is so badly animated is because of (theorized) badly planned time/recourse management, that part of the episode was out-sourced to Polygon Pictures, known for thier mostly cgi anime. http://imgur.com/a/BR6zH some BD comparisons if your interested. SHAFT is notorious for redoing scenes and more in the BDs too the point that some people question why somethings are changed. But THAT ENTIRE WEBM (and more) was redone, lending credence to the rushed production theory of Menkakucity Actors.
>>93457 It was my first Gundam and I re watched it 5 years ago. After removing my nostalgia goggles, it was ok. Most of the main/recurring characters were annoying as hell or had zero character development , the use of stock footage was prevalent and it can feel like the plot is running on a hamster wheel at times. But if you want a cheesy dramatic war series with giant robots, yes, watch it. Treize Khushrenada and Zechs Marquise were the best character, imho.
Also check out these webms from Gundam Wing that were posted earlier n this thread. >>89503>>91558
>>93457 It's not the best Gundam by any means, but I rewatched it a few years ago after the nostalgia goggles had worn off and still enjoyed it on the whole. It's very hokey in parts but other aspects are pretty good. And it's got some of the most consistently great mecha designs the Gundam franchise has to offer.
I spent like an entire evening just hitting the random button on sakugabooru. There's so much awesome stuff. It also made me realize that I should probably check out Read Or Die.
>>93532 It's a sports anime, instead of a school drama anime like Free. The main characters are all in college, except for the russian Yuri, so no High School bs either. At least watch episode 1 before deciding to not watch it. It has my OP of the season. https://my.mixtape.moe/kgcnid.webm
>>93533 I guess, but sports anime doesn't really give me much confidence either, considering Kuroko, Prince of Tennis, and that one biking anime with the really ugly characters I forget how to spell. If it's more along the lines of Slam Dunk or Haikyuu that's fine though.
Person who was dismissive of Yuri on Ice!!! earlier, I changed my mind. Now that they've actually gone full hog with the gay I'm more inclined to pick it up now since they actually care enough about it to make it a proper romance and I was worried they were just using it for pure fanservice or stereotypical BL schlock. Bonus points for not making the token American something other than a loud blonde guy and having one of the few authentic representations I can think of a Kazakh person actually looking like they should in any popular media ever.
>>92093 I found the 'main' girl obnoxious with how her thing is being lewd and making annoying jokes but she is still an incredibly shy and pure virgin who would never even be able to bring herself to touch a penis. Thus making her acceptable to be the main girl and the MC's love interest.
While the girl who is incredibly sheltered by an abusive upbringing but wracked with natural desires is scary and monstrous like a Terminator, and the MC being Japanese is of course terrified of her sexuality.
