I assume this is the board to talk about it on.
Do you like Arc so far? I think the fights are really nice since they don't skimp out on the imagination theme and do some neat stuff, but the writing could be better.

Never liked/got into Ultraman, the fact they are giants just seems so tacked on compared to other toku series.

Seems a petty reason but it stood out most strongly in crossovers they had with stuff like Kamen Rider.

It's because the Ultra Series was built on the idea of doing Godzilla movies on a TV budget and runtime.
I can't get into Kamen Rider at all because he's not fighting giant monsters.

I haven't really been keeping up with recent Ultraman too much (last I watched was some episodes of Blazar) but I really enjoyed watching Mebius and Geed back when. Ultraman as a whole is a very consistant toku franchise where you basically know what you're gonna get at a baseline quality that's in pretty high ranges. Hell even Ultra Q and the first Ultraman series hold up incredibly well for 60s TV special effects shows.
