Haven't really touched a flash game in years.

I only have flash animations and loops, not really any games.

Also, while you can post them here, no browser will be able to play them once Chrome removes its support soon.

Is that so? They are moving into obsolescence then.

No, newgrounds will distribute an emulator, and I think waterfox and palemoon will still support flash. You can also play .swfs locally.

I very much doubt they can get flash emulated that easily, though with Newsgrounds behind it, at least they got a decent chance. Firefox & its derivatives have extremely small browser share (last time I checked they had the same share as IE + Edge combined).

If Newsgrounds can get that emulator running, that would kick ass, but Flash is so complex that I'm not particularly hopeful.

True; these browsers have little share, but they will still allow enthusiasts to play flash.

Newgrounds seems like its gotten a notable boost as a website from Tumblr falling apart and artists migrating to a place that will actually have their NSFW art.

I've no interest in visiting the internet games of yesteryears but I came across this and it seems relevant to the thread

It outlived Steve Jobs.

Speaking of which, Flash support in browsers officially ends this year. We oughta have a thread about it?

This seems highly relevant to the topic of this thread for people wanting to relive classic content.

Haven't actually tried it myself yet, do others have feedback or words of warning regarding this flashpoint?

Might need to actually make an account.
Its annoying you need one to view adult content on Newgrounds nowadays.
How much hentai did we browse on there as kids back in the early days of the internet where the only care we took was to make sure our parents were out of the house when we used their PC?

Holy shit.

Managed to come across an old OLD X-Men fangame I never thought would see again, X-Assault.
This will probably be meaningless to most people nowadays but for anyone else old enough to care sharing the links to a blog with a working download link in the corner and also the wiki.

Why did Flash go away? Did something replace it?

Steve Jobs did not want to pay Adobe licensing fees, so they never bothered to implement it on the iPhone and instead declared the format as dead and replaced with HTML5 (good fucking luck with that). Adobe never really bothered fighting it, and eventually dropped all support for the browser plugin a year or two back.
