Its amazing how he's doing nowadays from small beginnings, with the runaway success of Undertale to hanging out with the creator of Smash Bros (literally beating him at his own game in person) and having his work be added to the game.
>>417706 Not that amazing, it's actually pretty common. Frank Klepacki was doing live shows playing C&C tunes with people who made fan remixes of his songs, and Sega is having fans making new Sonic and Streets of Rage games for them.
Its funny that Live A Live is getting a remake, since the boss music from it titled Megalomania is the direct inspiration for Toby Fox's Megalovania which has shown up in multiple things he has worked on.
Is it worth actually starting Deltarune at this point, or better waiting until it is complete as a series? You'd probably need to replay from the beginning because of stuff that was added in later parts he didn't think to track for earlier games at the time anyway.
>>423471 I'd say it's worth starting now. Chapters 1 and 2 already form a pretty good game, plus there's the discussion aspect of it. If you're not interested in discussing it with people, then it's better to wait for it to be completed.
>>425090 >That last question Wonder if Deltarune will end up revealing information about the origins of Sans and Papyrus in Undertale. Since there's always been vague mysteries regarding them just "turning up one day" in Snowdin and such, like with the weird machine Sans was building in his workshop and the group photo the player never gets to see.
Any interesting news about Deltarune recently? Know its gonna be taking longer because he's doing parts 3-5 in one release compared to the first two parts.
Is Snowdrake the special type of unlovable that would enter into a polyamorous relationship Burgerpants is already considering it by Undertale's end so we don't have to talk about him
>>433464 Chapter 3 sucked in terms of secrets. the way of getting the ShadowCrystal and the egg were tedious as hell. And do not get me even started on the secret boss. Toby dropped the ball in this aspect but the chapter was overall good. Tenna is probably the best antagonist we had so far.
Hot take, I think Weird Route doesn’t give off the feeling of the player being the villain as well as UT Genocide. Nearly all of Weird Route moments and changes so far are kinda weak compared to stuff like But Nobody Came, Undyne the Undying and Sans imo.
>>433499 The weird route is the most heroic route of all, since the player can't rely on Kris not to be a fucking traitor they need to make their own backup plans.
>>433530 There has been so many threads about it that jannies decided to delete them as a way of less clogging the board. And none of the /v/ posters want to use the /vg/ general because they consider it as cancerous. Pretty much using stealth threads to discuss the game without having to go to its respective general thread on another board.

I liked Undertale but don't have the same interest in Deltarune, things are just too dragged out in comparison and I'm not feeling it for the characters involved
The clover website is unbearable as usual, it'll probably take a month or so until all the reactionaries get their fix and move on to the next thing to rage at so I'll share some thoughts here, spoilers; Very fun chapter to play and probably the most mechanically involved, I liked the dark world. Story wise I'm not TOO sure though, I imagine this chapter will fit better when the game is finally complete but my initial reaction can basically be summarized as "that's it?"; feels like the narrative is still dragging its feet imo, and I wasn't too keen on the humor this time around. I also didn't care for the new major characters, their designs is probably a big reason why but I didn't find myself enamored by them despite all their constant antics.Maybe I'm just not too moved by the character driven stuff here which is what this chapter was mostly comprised of, I dunno
>>437193 Chapter 5 secret boss is lamer than the Chapter 3 one somehow Toby tried to do another Lightner turned Darkner boss but Gerson turned out to be a lightning in a bottle
