Looks like Kaladesh is the artifact centric plane as we saw it in Origins. And Tezzeret is mucking about for reasons, so my bet is on Phyrexians in the second half. Poison counters plus Energy counters, oh my!
>>201056 Because some people would rather have Age of Ultron than Civil War. The joke being that people are predicting the Super Best Friends Gate Watch are going to take opposing sides in Aether Revolt. That, and New Phyrexia was 5 years ago.
But in all honesty, I was under the impression that Tezzeret was trying to take over the Phyrexians at the end of New Phyrexia and that if he succeeded and is now on Kaladesh that he is gonna spread the Phyrexian corruption where he can. That, or he lost to Gissa and now he's on another mission for Nicol Bolas.
Elesh Norn is currently in the lead having bumped off Urabrask and Sheoldred.
Tezzeret's mission was to destabilize the Phyrexians to keep them from uniting under a single leader. A lot of people thought he was clearly going to betray his mission and install himself as leader, but that was never likely. Bolas rebuilt his mind after Jace put it in a blender. I am dead certain that included commands to insure he couldn't disobey.
But in other news, damn Kaladesh looks exciting. Can't wait to make a car drive another car.
The fact that the comments for this review are filled with "I pulled Such and Such masterpiece so that made it worth it!" and "You should have opened those boosters and seen if you pulled a masterpiece!" just go to show how absolutely disgusting this game has gotten and how poor people's reasoning skills are. It's really disturbing.
>>201146 His dismissal of any merit beyond what is tournament playable is equally disgusting as well. Casual exists. It runs roughshod over the amount of those doing competitive events.
>>201181 But he's not doing an analysis on the "fun factor" of the product. He's focusing entirely on monetary value. That's his shtick. And tournament playable cards are the cards that are actually worth shit. I don't like the dude and his videos either, but criticizing the video for not being what it never set out to be in the first place is a bit petulant.
He was probably harder on those Planeswalker Intro packs because they came right on the heels of Card Kingdom's Battle Decks, and are worse decks than what Card Kingdom was offering for a lower price point. //youtube.com/watch?v=8vYRylzo5gM
>>201182 If he examines the decks for not being what they were never meant to be to begin with, I don't see the folly of applying the same metric to his video.
Kinda boils down to the fact he should focus his reviews on things he is actually examining things for.
>>201237 Kinda sad I already sold the Copter I opened in the last FNM draft because it's sure to rise even more in price, but on the other hand it paid for the draft, so it's not like I lost money.
The whole deal with Frontier is so fucking retarded and that people are lapping it up so rabidly just fits the overall direction all of society is moving towards as a whole.
Holy balls, MM17 is shaping up to have an absolutely insane amount of value at the Rare, Uncommon, and Mythic slots. Some pretty damn good Commons like Burning Tree Emissary too. I'm still not crazy about $10 packs, but this is certainly considerably better than the last Modern Masters.
I'm so burned out on card games right now. They all release their major expansion in short succession of each other and I just can't be arsed to keep up anymore. Gonna take a break from Magic and Shadowverse. Hearthstone I'm just gonna stop playing altogether. It stopped being feasible to play that game as f2p.
>>202106 >Ixalan will have Vraska as a pirate and dinosaurs ridden as mounts >New Un-set comes out in december >Next year's spring set returns to Dominaria, and Richard Garfield worked on the design team
>>202132 Each individual mode is well worth 1U so making it cost 1 more for flexibility is good balancing. The problem is that at that point those modes becomes overcosted. Paying 3 for a soft counter or drawing a card is just terrible.
The Commander 2017 seem kinda lackluster, honestly. Mostly due to the tribal support thing. There's just not a lot of cards that are universally useful for any kind of deck, so if you don't want to play any of the four supported tribes you might as well skip this one.
Man, not even fucking Magic can stay drama free these days. I wish I didn't have to know about this pathetic fucking "man" and his shitty Youtube channel.
>>423535 >There will be 15 Transformers cards in total but each one is available in two different styles. One depicts the G1 1980s-style characters, and the other depicts the latest Shattered Glass comics in which Autobots are evil and Decepticons are good. Honestly that Shattered Glass concept sounds extremely lame.
>>423535 >>423535 https://www.dicebreaker.com/games/magic-the-gathering-game/news/magic-the-gathering-final-fantasy-assassins-creed-universes-beyond This is just some ridiculous levels of fanboy pandering.
