Which point? That PT was a series of jump scares, even though there was all of one (maybe two depending on how you define it) jump scare in the entire thing? That the Silent Hill brand of horror is nothing but OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD WHAT IS THAT THING even though that's only part of the Silent Hill tradition, much of the rest being made up of creeping unease and disorientation, which definitely fits with PT? Or perhaps the part where they claimed there was no room for fourth-wall breaking in Silent Hill without saying a single thing to support that outrageous statement.

There's just so many little details I love. Like the moving bloody bag in the starting room, the tallies on the wall, the mirror, the radio saying "hanged himself with a rope he found in the garage" with a demonic faint version under it saying "with an umbilical cord" instead.

If the final game is even half as scary as this, the survival horror genre is back.

It was kinda noble though, they were just trying to get Castlevania back on console and kudos to them for making an actually unique combat system even if it took till the second game and was still janky.

Plus at least they had the good sense to only make it a three game deal.

YES!! i havent been talking about them recently because everything has been...really bad. we havent had a good horror game in a loooonnnggg time. i love the silent hill series a lot+was bummed out when it shit the bed from sh:homecoming onward.
this already looks like a REALLY good move back in a direction where the game is actually terrifying while still staying innovative and casting aside the "rules" of silent hill which became tedious and predictable after a while.
even though p.t. is just a very well crafted teaser that has 0 relation to the actual game, the mood they evoked was incredibly effective and gives me a lot of hope

So, anyone actually has any real proof that it's not going to be a reboot? I mean, I loved every thing about the teaser, and I would love to play a game like that (in 3rd person), but if they are planning to fit into the canon of the first 4, they have a 50% chance of failing, great gameplay notwithstanding.
