With all the stuff they reveal about Korra's upbringing per season (2 - her dad hid her there, not the OWLs; 3 - those crazy new benders) I wonder how much of this is intentional and how much of it is retcons Bryke figured they'd use as launching pads once the newest batch of episodes is greenlit.
It would actually make for a great way to set up for just how dangerous these four are. Even after being incarcerated in four separate Tai Lung like prisons (which, let's be honest, that's totally where they got the idea), the White Lotus , at the behest of Tenzin and Korra's father, was still so worried about their possible escape and another attempt on Korra's life that they decided to lock her up in a compound just to keep her safe from dudes they already had locked up in medieval super-max.
That backstory, if it actually ends up being the reason for why that happened, makes these dudes so much more freakin' awesome.

I'm keen to get them in a higher resolution and see Varrick back in action and get some lead on where this whole ball is rolling with the Bender Gang and finding their motives to all of this. I kinda think their leader will be an ex Air Acolyte from Aang and his business will have something linked to the cycle. Be nuts if this ends with them somehow bringing Vaatu to the surface in Korra since she has both of them inside her now?
